Judith Newman is an American journalist and author while also being the mother of two sons, one of which being on the autistic spectrum. She has had many different stories such as I Have Seen Cancers Disappear, Making Waves with No Apology, and an incredible article called To Siri, With Love. To Siri With Love was originally published in a section of the New York Times in 2014 and written by Judith Newman. In To Siri, With Love Newman sufficiently presents how beneficial technology can be for children on the autistic spectrum. An example of this is when she described how Newman “heard him talking to Siri about music, and Siri offered some suggestions. “I don’t like that kind of music,” Gus snapped. Siri replied, “You’re certainly entitled to your opinion.” Siri’s politeness reminded Gus what he owed Siri. “Thank you for that music, though,” Gus said. Siri replied, “You don’t need to thank me.” “Oh, yes,” Gus added emphatically, “I do.””.
