In order to promote TJ Stitched, the business will focus on three main categories of advertisement: in-store promotion, email marketing, and television. The reason why these modes of advertisement have been chosen is because research today has shown that these methods seem to be the most effective in terms of customer trust. Customer trust is an important factor to take note of because trust is the foundation on which the tailoring service exists. Many new customers may be reluctant to use TJ Stitched simply because they trust their traditional tailor more. Customers put their trust in tailors to mend their clothes as detailed as humanly possible and so that is why TJ Stitched will avoid advertising through social media and mobile ads. Additionally, employees will be giving out flyers upon any purchase to every Marshall’s or TJ Maxx customer.

Email marketing will also target TJX customers but at a much larger scale. TJ Stitched will email all email accounts registered into the TJX system to emphasize the great change TJ Stitched brings to TJX and to ensure that a large number of infrequent shoppers are notified about the new service. Although these methods will be effective in letting existing customers know about the tailoring service, they are not enough to bring in new customers and so that is why a television promotion is necessary.

To make the television ad as effective as possible, it will be aired around the same time our target market (women 25-55) will be getting home from work. This will hopefully increase the number of potential end-users watching. In terms of the TV ad itself, we will work with young yet talented film students in the Boston area to write direct the ad at a low cost. This way we can ensure that our message of trustworthy tailors gets heard by a larger audience while keeping advertising costs as low as
