The movie I decided to go with is Tangled is an animated comedy produced by Walt Disney. Tangled is about a girl named Rapunzel who was kidnap as a infant from a witch names Gothel. Gothel raised Rapunzel as if she was her owe child because Rapunzel had magical hair, which Gothel use to keep herself young and beautiful. Therefore, she kept Rapunzel hiding in a big tower away from everything and everyone. As the movie atcontinue, flynn who is a their came across the tower and that is when he met Rapunzel. She is determined to see the only thing she ever dreamed about which were to see the floating lanterns. Furthermore, she demands Flynn to take her or else she won't give back the crown he has stolen from the castle. In conclusion, they set a deal, and Rapunzel leaves the tower to follow her dream. The movie has two main characters named Rapunzel and Flynn. Rapunzel is a young girl who's adventurous, energetic, and sweet. All her life she wished of seeing the floating lanterns, therefore, on her 18 birthday she was determined to pursue her life long dream. Rapunzel is a static character because she stays true to her beliefs and is kindhearted though the whole movie.

Flynn is a young man who's charming, gifted, and rebellious. Flynn is a thief whose always happens to find himself in sticky situations. However, flynn has a dream of finally living the life he always wanted which was to be wealthy. Therefore, during one big mission of stealing the princess crown, he ends up meeting Rapunzel and everything he planned on doesn't really go as he expected. Flynn is a dynamic character because in the beginning of the movie he was selfish, only thought about himself however as the movie continue you can see he starts to care about Rapunzel and ends up falling in love with her more than he loves hisself.

The symbols is tangled are;

The witch Gothel-a manipulator, overprotected, selfish person, who wants to control everyone. Power of evil.
Tower- destiny of true faith of how Rapunzel and flynn found each other. Floating lantern- dreams and hope

Magical hair- it shows Rapunzel inner beauty of love,

Close up-when Flynn enters The tower, Rapunzel hit him with a pan across his head. She than sat him in the chair, tied him up with her long hair and when flynn woke up they showed a close up shot to his face.

Tilt frame-when Rapunzel decided to leave the tower for the first time ever, they showed the tower from top to down.

Swish pan-when Rapunzel and flynn leaves the tower, however Rapunzel is having second thoughts of leaving because she is disobeying her "mother." So she starts to run back and forth with confusion. Therefore, the camera goes side to side.

Rack focus- when flynn and Rapunzel are facing each other and in the back round they show Gothel the witch that's when they switch it up by focusing on one character to another.

Follow shot-when flynn was running from a horse, in one part on the movie they show a follow up on flynn and the horse.

My favorite part of the movie is in the end when Rapunzel finally meets are actual parents and she finds out she is a princess in addition, she gets married to Flynn who she fell in love with during the journey they experienced together.

...Joseph Reyes February 3, 2016 rjoseph@andrews.edu English Composition II Tangled When talking about Disney fairytales, what is the one thing that most people in America assume will happen in the movie? It would be that a “Prince Charming” will come and save the Princesses in whatever predicament that they are in. For instance, in the Disney Fairytale Snow White. She dies by an evil witch’s spell and the her “Prince Charming” comes and saves her with true love’s kiss. The trend of these movies has continued throughout the years, until a recent changed in one of their recent movies. In the Disney fairytale Tangled, it utilizes the same stereotypes where the main character, Rapunzel, has beauty, she can sing, she has an evil mother, she cleans up around the house, has an animal friend, and the list goes on. Yet the movie itself also pushes against the fairytale expectation. They say that most fairytales focus on the woman of the movie, and that the male figure is barely present. In Tangled, however, there is a focus on men who are much more developed then the typical Prince Charming character. While the roles of women have significantly changed in fairy tales since becoming popular, the roles of men have stayed the same. The heroes of these fairy tales appear to be rich and powerful but what they do lack is personality. For example, in the movie Snow White, the Prince comes out of thin air but he’s handsome, and rich, and his character hadn’t even been developed. The...

...Case Study, Tangled Webs 2. James Gansman has been sent to jail for a year and a day in a federal prison and six months of supervised release. He was also fined$250,000 and banned for practicing any law in New York. Donna Murdoch, she has pleaded not guilty and testify against Gansman by push all the responsibility to him. Lastly, Murdoch and her father, Gerald Brodsky, were yet be sentenced. They may receive a prison sentence. I think it’s not fair for both James Gansman, since everything he does is ethical and illegal for business. However, Gansman cheated his wife and he should stay in prison and work for community service for a year at least. It’s his responsible to give back to society. I also think it’s unfair to Donna Murdoch; especially she actually lied and turned false documents. I believe Murdoch deserve more than just fines and couple years jails penalty. In the end, I believe not only James Gansman and Donna Murdoch lost mostly everything, and also made huge impact in both of their career, and family. 3. Ashley Madison is based on a business model that enables adultery. Adultery has harmful effect such as huge bad impacts on one’s generation, marriage, and even the whole family. However, an unethical business model is going to harm the whole community and mostly its own customers. Unethical business is not acceptable, because it will harm our society. Tangled Webs

...Case Analysis Summary of the case Tangled Webs, begins with the description of the company of Ashley Madison, who strives to provide” a social networking site that connects people seeking extra marital affairs.” This site however led to the chance encounter between James E. Gansman, as successful M&A attorney, and Donna Murdoch, a successful investment broker. This relationship soon went past initial flirting, to where both parties became complicit in sharing of nonpublic information (insider trading). Soon after, Donna Murdoch, began to tip off more investors, such as Richard Branson, who she also meet on Ashley Madison and became her “go to” source of income to play these trades. All of these transactions began to catch the attention of SEC, who were tipped off based on the volume of option contracts, which in some cases Mrs. Murdoch was the sole buyer of. This attention by the SEC soon led to a full blown investigation, which exposed the relationship between Murdoch and Gansman. This relationship when exposed led to charges and convictions for both Gansman and Murdoch; however it put more of a spotlight on Ashley Madison, and made some question the ethics of a company like Ashley Madison. However, when the founder and his wife discuss how they feel about it ethically, they see it as a legitimate business within the confines of the law. Although this remains an unresolved debate that rages on today on whether a business basing itself on “unethical behavior “is in......

He was looking for an affair on AshleyMadison.com. He focused on the fine details of severance pays and compensation for executives at takeovers. Over time, Gansman came into contact with Donna Murdoch who he sent stock tips and hints to after they had become comfortable with each other and had moved to daily phone calls and messages. Eventually the communication became more than just trading tips for personal favors. Murdoch shared tips with another man she met online who happened to become her supervisor and she shared tips with her father who was charged with securities fraud earlier on. Over time, the SEC caught wind of her trading activities and started an investigation on her which led to a full blown criminal investigation about her activities. She eventually; after many tries; decided to plead guilty for a lighter sentence and gave up all the information she could about Gansman. Eventually Gansman was barred from the state of New York and was not allowed to practice law there anymore. He was sentenced to one year and one day in jail. By the SEC case, Gansman settled on a $250,000 case, Murdoch was charged $404,054 which was waived due to inability to pay and her father was charged with $265,924. Splitting Hairs in Disney’s Film Tangled

...Matt Williams Splitting Hairs in Disney’s film Tangled Cinderella tells us that a dream is a wish that your heart makes, and following suit dreams play a large part in the newest Disney princess film, Tangled. In the end of the film Rapunzel holds Flynn and they admit their deep secret that they had become each other’s dream, and an “awww” moment ensues. The question to ask is “Where do these dreams come from?” and “What do these dreams mean?” Taking this second question, the implications of Rapunzel and Flynn’s dream impact more than just the world of the film. The Disney Princess films have been studied within an inch of their lives by a great number of scholars in a great number of fields. One common study takes the ideas of gender development and combines them with the Disney Princess films. However, the implications of gender do not stop here as gender identity can still be impacted as the viewers age. Interpretation of the princess films has been a huge aspect of their scholarly application as the behavior of the princesses, and princes, can be interpreted and compared with gender stereotypes and norms to assess the impact their portrayals can have on the viewing audience. The film Tangled is often seen as Disney’s take on a modern princess, and Rapunzel and Flynn have a great deal to contribute to both gender development study and media interpretation of gender. Tangle Web

...1.What lies are present in the “tangled webs” considered here? How were they used? How were they justified by those who executed them? Who was harm by them? Which lies were most harmful? According to tangled webs, lies are present as James E. Gansman, a senior partner and an attorney in the New York office of Ernst & Young, engaged in deception. He gave information to favor Murdoch’s trading and revealed an upcoming takeover to help one of Murdoch ’s children with a stock market simulation exercise. He actually knew Murdoch’s trading on confidential information he gave her but he lied that he didn’t know and rejected this accusation. Murdoch also engaged in multiple deceptions. She was using Ashley Madison website to get information that benefit her trading. She concealed her relationship with Gansman and tipped her supervisor and her father. She also lied to FBI and tried to erase her hard drive to destroy the evident. Doing these actions of Gansman might be explained as he wanted to impress Murdoch. Also, trading activity of Murdoch might probably benefit Gansman ’s operating in New York office of Ernst & Young. However, Murdoch only used Gansman’s actions for financial gain as she and her husband were in debt and struggling to make payment on a $1.45 millions home mortgage. In my opinion, both Gansman and Murdoch lost the most. Gansman received a prison sentence for one year and one day while, Murdoch received around 14 charges. 2. Were the punishments for James......

Analytic Paragraph

...In the movie Tangled, it is conveyed to the viewers that stealing is acceptable, blackmailing someone to fulfill one’s dreams is normal and one can fall in love after knowing the other for only a short amount of time. The viewers learn that stealing is acceptable when Mother Gothel steals Rapunzel to keep herself looking young. This shows the viewers that stealing is acceptable because Mother Gothel gets away with keeping Rapunzel hidden for 18 years yet feels no guilt after doing so and is not punished in any way. Also the King and Queen, who she was stolen from, have no problem continuing on with their life because we see them after 18 years living without any emotional distress. This gives the impression to the viewers that they can steal and no other people will be affected and that no consequences will come out of it. An additional alternate message that is conveyed is that blackmailing someone to fulfill one’s dreams is normal when Rapunzel takes Flynn’s crown and forces him to help her see the floating lights in order for him to receive his crown again. Her actions prove blackmailing is normal because Flynn does not put up a fight to defend himself and no consequence was bestowed on Rapunzel. As a result viewers are under the impression that only good things come out of blackmailing and that nothing bad will ever result from it. Along with those two alternate messages, the audience can also take away that one can fall in love with another person after knowing them for......

Queen Gertrude Confronts Her Sins

...Queen Gertrude Confronts Her Sins - “Oh, what a tangled web we weave. When first we practise to deceive!” Gertrude’s ambiguous personality has been dissected in a numerous ways by generations of readers, but those who read Shakespeare’s Hamlet unanimously agree upon her morally frail and fickle nature. In the play’s opening scenes, Queen Gertrude is presented as a victim of her own moral missteps and lapse of judgment. Upon hearing of the death of her late husband, she appears indifferent and callous. She betrays both the late King Hamlet and her son through the incestuous act of marrying King Hamlet’s brother, Claudius. However, as the play progresses, a Gertrude’s pivotal encounter with Hamlet disintegrates the persona she has hidden behind for so long. By the conclusion of the play, Gertrude realizes the ramifications of the tangled web of lies she has wrought, shedding her mask of deception and betrayal to reveal her genuinely benevolent and kind nature. Further scrutiny of the three focal scenes involving Gertrude delve into the acknowledgement of her vices, and the actions she takes in order to abolish them. When Act 1, Scene 2 begins, the audience is aware of King Hamlet’s death and the stage is set for the introduction of the play’s primary characters, the freshly-minted King Claudius, the sartorial Queen Gertrude and her grieving son, Hamlet. In an ensuing discussion between the three, the queen sheds few tears over King Hamlet’s death,......

...than we do."(Johnny Dodd, People.com) White forms the team, but now he faces the difficulty of explaining the cross country's tangled team scoring system, where the low score prevails. Just like golf, the coach tells his team.  "Do we look like we play a lot of golf?" one of the team members tells him (Turan). In fact, for several of the students, most of their waking hours outside of school are spent doing something far from golf or any other leisure pursuits: they work the fields in the morning and after school. The three Diaz brothers, the core of the cross country team, help their father harvest cabbages. When Señor Diaz says they can no longer run on the team, White joins the boys in the cabbage field to get a taste of the back-breaking work. We can feel his pain and thirst as he hunches over the rows of produce. After a memorable enchilada dinner at the Diaz home, the father relents and lets the boys continue running with the team as long as the practice schedule is tailored to accommodate their work duties. “Many of White's runners would rise at 4 a.m. to head out into the fields with their family, often putting in 12 hours of back-breaking work before returning home to get some rest. Then, around 6 p.m., they would head back out into the fields. But instead of climbing rickety ladders up into pistachio trees or cutting bell peppers from tangled vines, they'd be dressed in shorts and running shoes.” (Dodd) The Whites grow fond of their Latino neighbors, who throw a......

Websites have various functions and uses, but the most popular these days, are that of the social realm. Now days, people rarely pick up the phone and call each other. We no longer mail photographs to loved ones with letters attached. If we want to catch up with someone, we don’t write or call, we log on. ...the cylinder? The materials we call plastics are all composed of large molecules whose structure is like a chain. These molecules are composed of many small repeating units, like the links in a chain. Like a chain, the molecules of a polymer are long and narrow. The name plastic is applied to a wide variety of substances, some of them soft and others very hard. Originally, plastic referred to something shapeable or bendable. However, as new polymer materials were made that were hard and stiff, the name plastic was applied to them, too. White glue is a mixture of water with a polymer. The polymer molecules are shaped like very tiny pieces of spaghetti. The tangled molecules make glue thick and viscous rather than thin and runny. When glue is exposed to air, the water evaporates, leaving the tangled polymer molecules. The tangled molecules stick to the surfaces on which they dried, and hold the surfaces together. Borax solution contains borate ions. These ions can form links between the long, thin polymer molecules in the glue, turning it into a 3-dimensional network. This network makes Gluep more like a solid than the plain liquid glue. The network holds its shape for a short time, and as long as it is not strained. When Gluep rests, the flexible network gradually relaxes, and the Gluep flattens. When Gluep is stretched quickly, the links between molecules break, and the Gluep snaps apart into pieces. The polymer molecules in white glue are called polyvinyl acetate. These......
