The Tco that relates to the chapter is Number one “given status as a new college student in a diverse and rigorous learning environment, identify effective study and time management habits, distinguish between multiple intelligences and learning styles, and identify new learning processes within the framework of personal responsibility and accountability”.
The main points of the chapter include managing emotional information, and how to use critical thinking skills. Managing information and critical thinking means your emotions have to be just right to make the right decisions if your mind is not right than your decisions will be the same. The chapter has vital information on steps how to manage the emotional information, one side of your emotions is the dark side “negative thoughts” and the other side is the light side “very optimistic thinker”. If you find out where you stand either dark or light than look at the emotional spectrum and find out which side of the pole you are on. There is very few light side options and way more dark side options this is due to the fact that negativity is far my common than optimism.
How I would apply these tips to my life? Well for starters I am already a very optimistic person I see the good in every bad situation I have always been that way. Sometimes emotions do get in the way but I usually just say something about it so that it’s not bottling up inside me until I explode like most people nowadays. All and all the chapter had some good information for me to use if I ever fall to the dark side and turn into a sith lord… star wars

...TCO A. It is discovered that Robins & Robins knew about the tainted medication 2 months earlier than they announced the recall. They hid it and, in fact, sent out contract buyers to try to buy up all of the medication off the shelves. Their “fake” recall failed. Using the Laura Nash method of analyzing ethical dilemmas, analyze the ethical dilemma faced by the CEO of Robins & Robins for the fact that they saved 35 cents/package and are now in the middle of a major, life-threatening recall. Analyze their “fake” recall as well. Show all of the steps of the model and give a recommendation to the CEO of what to do now that the deaths are escalating. What is the “right” thing for the CEO to do in this case? Did the model help you come to this conclusion, or did you use some other method? Explain. I think the Laura Nash method is a good method to use in this example, as it is an ethical and very emotional concern that the company is now facing. When using the Laura Nash method and asking "How would I view the issue if I stood on the other side of the fence?" I have the following opinions. 35 cents a package cannot bring back the lives of those who have died from taking their medication. Saving 35 cents a package does not take back the medical problems each of these individuals and their families have went though, even after they did survive. Saving 35 cents a package will also not help Robins & Robins reputation for doing future business nor did it save them in the legal fees and...

(Tco C) Will E. Chancit, a 36-Year-Old Attorney, Was Killed When His Ford Fairlane Collided with Some Metal Fence on the Harbor Freeway in Los Angeles. He Was Traveling at a Speed Between 50 and 70 Mph. What Happened

...I. In order to claim negligence against Ford Motor Co. in this case all of the elements of negligence must be met. The first is "The Duty" which says that we all have a duty to act like an ordinary and reasonably prudent person. The second is "Breach of Duty"where there must be a determination that the defendant fell short of the standard of care or breached the duty that was established under the first element. The third element, "Causation", uses the "but/for" test to prove that a breach of duty caused the plaintiff's injuries. The fourth element is "Proximate Cause" which draws an imaginary line between the “but for” causation and any events that may have contributed to the injuries to the plaintiff. The fifth and final element is "Damages". This element states that a plaintiff must be able to establish the fact that the injuries to the plaintiff were caused by the negligence of the defendant. II. The Ford Motor Co. may try to claim contributory negligence in this case. It could try to say that the fact that Mr. Chancit wasn't wearing his seat belt and the fact that the city of Los Angeles mismarked the lane closure cause the injuries and ultimately the death of Mr. Chancit. III. The city of Los Angeles may be liable under negligence also. They breached their duty by failing to properly direct traffic for the lane closure. Also negligence could be found in posting a 60 MPH speed limit in a construction zone. IV. I believe that it would be very hard to prove any liability...
