BUSN460 Team Contract Successful teams begin with guidelines that help to manage their work. For this class you and your teammates will need to create a set of rules called a Team Contract. As a team, complete all the sections listed below to build your Team Contract. Team name: Team C members: Jordan Bergum Sergey Bondar Stephanie Hayes
Dewayne Henderson
Rebecca Pomeroy
Dgungu Wasswa
Angela Yanez Section I: Team Member Skill Inventory
Each team member must complete this section. Name | Strengths/Contributions | Not so strong areas | Jordan Bergum | Design, layouts, and crafty sort of things | Coding | Sergey Bondar | PowerPoint/essays/researching | Coding | Stephanie Hayes | Writing, Planning, Organizing | Procrastination | Dewayne Henderson | Delegating and Management, Research, Flexibility, Administration | Attention to detail and forgetfulness | Rebecca Pomeroy | Organization, pretty decent writer. | Coding and switching formats of documents | Dgungu Wasswa | Page Layouts/Power Points and Essays | Coding | Angela Yanez | Organizational skills, editing, writing, APA formatting | Finance, I am a Health management major for my BA so math is my weakest point |

Section II: Work Plan
This section should include a plan for communication and written work. * How will the team members share their work?
As a team, each member will share our work through the team discussion forums. Team members will post pieces of our work for the week but keep important communication and final drafts of assignments through email.

* When will all members need to have their part of the project done so that it can be turned in on time?
Members need to have their share of the assignments to be turned in by Saturday evening before the day is over through DeVry’s use of MST. This will allow for time to ensure that everything is completed and formatted correctly.

* What will you do if members turn in work after the deadline?
Members MUST communicate to the team if they are not going to make the deadline so the rest of the team has time to work on anything that needs to be completed.

* How will you manage team members who do not participate?
If that member is not participating that member will be contacted, including the Professor in the CC of the email and also the Professor will be notified via email directly and made known of their lack of participation.

* How will you choose your team leader? What will be the responsibilities of the team leader? The team leaders have been pre-assigned by the Professor for the entirety of the course. The team leader will be responsible for delegating, managing, doing a fair share of the work, and keeping in constant communication with the rest of the group, including ensuring that everyone is on task and completing their share of the work by the set deadline.

Section III: Conflict Management
This section should include your plan for conflict management. * What are potential conflicts that might arise among or between team members during this course?
Potential issues that might arise could be communication between team members since this is an online class, issues of different time zones between members, and negative response of team leader for strategic roles, misunderstanding of assignments, not coming to agreement on meeting times and assignment roles.

* How do team members agree together that they will deal with these and other conflicts?
To deal with issues of communication each member will all post an alternative method for communication other than email through the class email communication page as a safety measure. Along with team communication post the team will have their individual time zones posted to make sure members know where each member is be located to ensure everyone knows when each person will need to submit to meet the required weekly team deadline. The leader has been assigned by the Professor from each week and team members need to respect what the weekly leader puts into effect to a reasonable extent, and be open to suggestions from the leader, as well as the leader being willing to take alternative suggestions from other team members to ensure the team is working in the best, most efficient way possible.

Section IV: Team Goals
This section should include your team goals. * What are your team goals? (These may include project assignment goals, group process goals, quality level goals, etc.)
Every member will participate and work on a fair share of the work for each work and will ensure that the individual contribution from each member will be turned into the team member for that week to ensure that the leader has time to either edit and fix any possible mistakes or get it to an assigned member for proper editing. Each member will strive for the best grade possible as expected by the Professor and the rest of the team for the best quality of each assignment of work for the week to get the best overall grade from each assignment. Consistent communication between each member to ensure that the entire team is functioning and completing their individuals parts by the weekly deadline.

* What are potential barriers to the achievement of these goals? How will you overcome these potential barriers?
Potential barriers that could arise would be lack of communication between members, which will be resolved by the weekly leader reaching out to the specific member(s) and including the Professor on the CC of that email, and then alerting the Professor to the member(s) not participating. Another possible issue that could arise could be team members not submitting their individual share of week by the set deadline each week. Like communication issues the weekly leader will reach out to the member first and include the Professor on the communication and then alert the Professor to the lack of participation. The leader will then alert the team so the members can pull together to complete the assignment. Every member will strive to provide the best quality of work each week to ensure that the team is able to meet the requirements set by the Professor for each assignment to ensure the team succeeds in getting a high grade by knowing what is expected of the member based on assignments from the weekly leader.
The team contract must be signed by every member of the team before submitting it individually to your dropbox. Name | Signature to agree | Date | Jordan Bergum | | 7/10/2013 | Sergey G Bondar | Serge Bondar | 7/10/2013 | Stephanie Hayes | Stephanie K Hayes | 7/12/13 | | | | | | | | | | Angela Yanez | Angela Yanez | 7/11/13 |

...TEAM CONTRACT: ___________________________(Group Number) Objective: To develop the roles and responsibilities of individuals and the team to support the management of your team throughout the semester. Background: Your team will be responsible for completing a team project this semester which requires developing and doing a major fundraising event along with 2 presentations and a final report. Each student will be entering in a performance contract with your team members. This document outlines this contract and provides a means for managing your team performance. To develop this team contract team members will need to negotiate team expectations by developing a shared understanding of how your team will be expected to function. To be effective, all members must explicitly agree to a set of norms for team behavior and procedures to address behaviors that fall outside the norms. Without a shared understanding, some members’ expectations may not be met, leading them to become disillusioned and de-motivated. As a result, team effectiveness will likely be diminished. Work teams often run into problems such as, members “free-riding,” failing to show up for or being late for meetings, failing to complete work, submitting work late, submitting work that doesn’t meet other members’ quality standards, and failing to communicate enough or appropriately in and outside of meetings. If/when you encounter these type of problems down the road, you will use the contract...

...Economic impact approaches Page #1 Approaches to Estimating the Economic Impacts of Tourism; Some Examples Daniel J. Stynes Updated January 1999 Introduction The purpose of this bulletin is to present examples of different approaches to estimating the economic impacts of tourism. In a previous bulletin (Stynes 1997), I summarize economic impact concepts and methods as they apply to tourism. Here we apply the methods to illustrative cases in order to demonstrate some practical approaches. Three specific examples are presented. These represent a range of alternatives for estimating the economic impacts of visitor spending. The techniques covered range from methods based largely on judgement, to methods that utilize secondary spending data and published multipliers, to the use of visitor surveys and input-output models. A third bulletin in this series discusses survey methods for measuring visitor spending and includes sample spending instruments. While the construction and operation of tourist facilities also has economic impacts, we will restrict our attention here to the impacts of visitor spending. Review of Basic Approach and Levels of Analysis The economic impact of visitor spending is typically estimated by some variation of the following simple equation: Economic Impact of Tourist Spending = Number of Tourists * Average Spending per Visitor * Multiplier This equation suggests three distinct steps and corresponding measurements or models: (1) Estimate the change...

...NCAA Football And The Possible Realignment of The Teams into Super Conferences Mergers and Acquisitions Anthony Pranger October 2011 Introduction: NCAA football is a wonderful and exciting sport, of which I basically know the rules and enjoy watching when I have the time. To be perfectly honest though, this is not a topic that I know much about when it comes to the rankings, divisions and how they determine who will play against who in the upcoming season. Since I lack in knowledge regarding this topic and am not one to back down from a challenge, I have decided to run forward and tackle the topic and research college football, and the inner workings of the sport. This will give me the opportunity to learn more than just accounting and business principles while attaining my master’s degree. First things first, I feel a good description of the sport and its foundation is in order. This will really help put things in perspective, so that I can charge forward and score a touchdown with this paper. NCAA football is also known as College football or pigskin football. Each team is a college (university) and they compete in divisions. The division that has the best teams is called the Division IA and is divided in too many different conferences. The players are amateurs (they do not get paid to play) but they do receive a college scholarship. Each football team can offer a free education to 85 players. College football is all but clear because it does not...
