Teenage Suicide – The Forms, The Damage, The Thoughts, and The Help
Being young in today's world is not the easiest task to do. Many young people have to deal with all the many complex, intense pressures and pains of daily life. Unfortunately, most adolescences don't believe that they can cope with all of the disbarring problems that today’s society throws at our youth. They believe that no one cares enough to listen or help them cope with their stress. When these thoughts enter into their minds and occur often enough they begin to think that they have to end their lives to rid themselves of these matters. To some people this is the only way out, and this needs to change.
Reasons for teen suicide in today’s culture can be very complex. Depression, Stress, Media Pressure, Bullying, Emotional and Mental Problems, Family, anyone of these can lead, or give a reason for a teenager to commit suicide. There are tons of resources available to teens in present society that offer help and guidance to the young adults of the world, whether it be someone to talk to or therapy sessions there’s always something available to them.
Depression and stress are the most common factors that lead most teens to suicide. As adolescence grow into young adults they experience a great amount of stress in their family lives. We all long for independence, and freedom, this leads to us finding out our sexuality and our position in life. Our position determines our habits, in with the new habits, and out with the old ones. With our new habits often come hard emotional struggles that are frustrating for both us, and the people around us. We lose all that was once secure to us, and we become unstable.
Many people classify depression as a general disorder yet there are many differences between adult and teenage depression. The following are more common in teenagers than in their adult
