Tenmaeng. They set up a tent and then we walked around the village to invite people. The chief's wife and already told them, but we wanted to let them know as well. I got to go along with Asi Lulu and another boy. Asi Lulu said she wanted to go with me and I wanted to go with her too! It was definitely a mountain village. We climbed up the rocky mountain side. It was really neat. Asi Lulu said she likes me because I am flexible. She said this when we had to go down one little cliff and then we climbed up a rocky cliff. After we were done, we went back to the tent. First they had the kids service. One of the young people, lead songs. I was planning to have the kids do things like say the verse if you are wearing blue. It did not go quite as planned. The lady who was translating it for us had the kids say the verse several times, then she had two say it by themselves, then we hid the verse and they said it. They were able to say it pretty well. Bro Gault said that God was speaking to the children. When I told if that it did not go quite as planned, he said that is the way life is and that I was prepared though. I think that went well even though it threw me off and I was not quite as involved as I was expecting to be. I also learned that introducing oneself is very important to them even if they say your name before you come up. After the kids service, we went right into the regular service. There was singing and group specials, then Ntate Kali gave a message. Bro Gault translated for us. I love how the people here are out witnessing to others. People back home need to learn from them. Ntate Kali and the others were a challenge to me. At the end of the service a lot of the people came forward. It was really exciting. I felt the Lord's presence close. The choir sang a song about Jehovah being the greatest. It made me excited. I was thinking about how I am missing camp, but I got to be in on that. After we were done at about 5:00, we went back to the mission. I then went to the Bible study in Matukeng where Bro Kali was speaking. I am going to speak at this church next week and Bro Gault said this will allow me to see what the service is like. We sang a song, then he gave a request and we prayed for it, we did this a few times and then he gave a little message. I think that it might have been after that we sang a song as a prayer and we also prayed for a few more requests. I really liked the prayer song. It talked about if you believe, if I believe , then the Spirit will have to come down and all of Africa will be saved. At the end we dismissed with the normal song and handshaking in a circle.
