The present results expand the literature on attachment by presenting evidence that anxious and avoidant partners experience loneliness differently. By utilizing this data, I will have an easier time determining how the relationship effects the each member of the couple's personal lives with this as a reference. Port Expander

...allow seven devices to connect to one serial port.”(Computer Hope, 2016) It still didn’t make much sense to me, even after reading about it. As I went along finding more information, the more sense it made. What I found about this item is that additional ports receive and send data into a parallel format, which means it needs to be converted to a serial format. I found on the internet sixteen different port expanders, those would be SCSI port expander, audio port expander, VGS port expander, SATA port expander, Ethernet port expander, Modus Serial port expander, SSD port expander, SAS port expander, DB-25 port expander, USB port expander, VDI port expander, Microphone port expander, Video port expander, and Serial port expander (termpaperwarehouse, 2016). As far as if the port expanders are made for specific types of computers, what I’ve found are mixed answers online for this one. So for my own conclusion, I’m going to say they are generally basic, but doesn’t mean it will work with all computers, because a port expander doesn’t actually introduce any new hardware, just introduces a connection. It seems there are advantages and disadvantages to using a port expander, while you’re able to add more devices it can go slower; bottle neck if you will. The more the ports, the slower it will become. And the advantages? It is cheaper and in some cases, using the port expander is your only option. It is can also just be easier to access something with a whole bunch of ports than...

Heineken Strategy

...Heineken Organizational strategy: Heinekens strategy is based on six business priorities they found most important. 1. Grow the Heineken brand 2. Consumer-inspired, consumer-oriented and brand-led 3. Capture the opportunities in emerging markets 4. Leverage the benefits of Heineken’s global scale 5. Drive personal leadership 6. Embed and Integrate Sustainability Considering these six priorities and adapting the strategic types from Miles and Snow, we think Heineken is a prospector. Due to their continued search for market opportunities in emerging markets, Heinekens on-going search of new ways to connect with the consumers and the personal drive of leadership. One of their first major international successes was after World War 2, when the German beer brewers still had to build up a brand. Heineken took their beer overseas to the Unites States of America. There Heineken became an exclusive beer, imported beer was not for everybody. They got this image of an exclusive beer because a Heineken beer was twice as expensive as a normal beer. Heineken distinguished it self in the American market because the Dutch beer had an alcohol percentage of 5%, whereas the American beers had a percentage of 3%. Heinekens break through found place in the ’70, when the prosperity in the USA rose, the people could afford the exclusive Heineken beer. Heineken did not only have successes in emerging markets or with introducing new products. One of their failures was the introduction...

Too Many Majors

...Too Many Majors Chelsea McGuire, who is a chair of Communications department at a university in the southeastern U.S., she has built a successful department, ever since she became chairperson of the department. When Chelsea took over the charge there were 500 communication majors and then over a period of time, they grew to 800 such communication majors. As the majors grew, the department is not at that pace. So, Chelsea has appointed two groups to resolve the issues they are having. Both, the groups identified, analyzed and suggested a solution. So far, Chelsea has engaged the faculty in the decision-making and also respected their input. However, now she believes that this style of decision-making might not work in enrollments management decision. So, she decided on changing her style (Miller, Katherine). Identifying Issues: The demand for communication majors was growing and so as the department of Communication, where Chelsea is the chair. The department has introduced almost 300 more majors since Chelsea has taken in-charge. Chelsea wanted to regulate and control the enrollment practice in order to reduce uninterested applicants and give an opportunity for the real interested students. The advantages for the department by introducing this process is getting real communications passion students, filters most interesting students, and also maintains demands for the department. I don’t see this as a problem but as a strength and has given some suggestions where the department...
