In order to achieve excellence, one should practice as much as possible, have patience, and courage.
One should practice as much as it is possible, because the efforts that he/she puts in his/her work will definitely result in achieving excellence. Mr. Gladwell mentioned some of most successful people who achieved excellence by working hard and practicing as much as it was possible. He stated that people reach success because of the practicing hours that they spent, that was why he named his book “The 10000 –hour rule”. He gave life examples of Bill Gates, Bill Joy and many others. The author also wrote about the harsh conditions that people had on their way but they were not afraid and did everything to achieve their goals. (Gladwell, 2008) …show more content…
As Steve Jobs said in his speech people should have patience in order to reach their destination. It is difficult to understand what goes on in the present, however in the future it will be obvious as they can easily connect the dots. He gave an example of himself saying that he was fired from his own company, afterwards because of his belief and patience he started new companies and in the end came back to the old one. He thought everything was over, whereas some years later when he looked back he could connect the dots and understood that what happened to him was a lesson not to lose the faith and patience. (Report, 2005) What refers to Malala Yousafzai, she wrote a book about “I am Malala” after she was injured and remained unconscious. She became an education activist and wrote that book to inspire everyone to get educated and help the world to change. Victoria Aslanyan concentrated on being brave and having courage to do things throughout one’s live in her Ted Talk. She said that it is important to do everything with courage and not be afraid of challenges. Mrs. Aslanyan spoke about her own experience which was her first trip to Kharabagh. Everyone told her that she could not ride as it was a long ride. However, she had the courage to try and fortunately she could overcome the problems that she headed. She encouraged everyone to have the courage to find their spirit and if they pay attention, their spirit will find them. No one knows a person better than him, hence he should concentrate on what he loves and follow his spirit. At the end of her speech she advised everyone to say themselves ”what would you say to you if you asked you for advice and you unconditionally loved you? ”.
