How to deceive and disinformation tactics
Hear no evil see no evil, speak no evil, don’t discuss it- especially if you are a public figure, news anchor ,etc. if its not reported, it didn’t happen, and you never have to deal with the issues.
Become incredulous and indignant avoid discussing key issues and instead focus on side issues which can be used show the topic as being critical of some otherwise sacrosanct group or theme. This is also known as the “ how dare you “ gambit
Create rumor mongers. Avoid discussing issues by describing all charges, regardless of venue or evidence, as mere rumors and wild accusations find or create a seeming element of your opponents argument which you can easily knock down to make yourself look good and the opponent to look bad.
Either make up an issue you may safely imply exists based on your interpretation of the opponents/arguments/ or select the weakest aspect of the weakest charges.
Amplify their significance and destroy them in a way which appears to debunk all the charges, real and fabricated alike, while actually avoiding discussion of the real issue.
Sidetrack opponents with name calling and ridicule associate opponents with unpopular titles such as “kooks” , “right-wing”, “liberal”, “leftwing”, “terrorists”, “conspiracy buffs”, “radicals” ,”militia”, “racist”, “religious fanatics”, shill disinfo
Hit and run, in any public forum, make a brief attack of your opponent of the opponent position and then scamper off before an answer can be fielded, or simply ignore and answer. This works extremely well simply make an accusation
Question motives. Twist or amplify any fact which could be so taken to imply that the opponent operates out of a hidden personal agenda of other bias. This avoids discussing issues and forces the accuser on the defensive.
Invoke authority, claim for yourself or associate yourself with authority

Good or Bad

...There are many different thoughts that may come to mind when thinking of present day youth football leagues. A person from another state may think of kids building teamwork skills and their physical abilities, while a person from Texas may think of the gridiron, violent games expressed between these eight and nine year old players. Stefan Fatsis’s article “Rich Kids Are Soft, Poor Kids Need to be Together Up” uncovers the real, explicit experience these kids receive and how it affects them and their community, good or bad. In order to evaluate Fatsis’s article thoroughly, it is important to consider the use of rhetorical strategies and structure. One of the claims Fatsis makes is the “violent imagery” created in the coach’s speeches and the use of their vulgar language around the young players. The author uses the Esquire Network series, Friday Night Tykes (FNT) as his illustration to his readers, assuming the reader has watched the show. He uses the example “You have the opportunity, today, to rip their heads off and let them bleed” (pr.1) from the show, to represent the relationship being expressed between the coaches and players. He assumes he is showing his pathos at this point in the article and that attention of the readers is being grabbed. Another point of the article’s structure and stance involves the coach’s perspective between positive adult leadership and their vulgar, negative style on the field. One specific coach from the Outlaws explains how parents specifically...

Good/Bad Strategy

...ICHEC – Professor Luc Moeremans 2015/2016 Catarina Duarte 153111 Corporate Strategy Good Strategy / Bad Strategy The difference and why it matters by Richard Rumelt Part I The book Good Strategy/Bad Strategy written by the professor of business and society in the school of business and management UCLA - Richard Rumelt - clarifies the difference between good strategies and bad strategies and provides a thorough understanding of how to create and think about good strategies. It daylights a fundamental range of aspects to which has not been given much importance and where people fail when trying to manage an organization, a school or even a research. Presenting interesting and fascinating examples of contemporary businesses and from world’s history, Richard Rumelt motivates his ideas and makes the readers have a clear understanding of them. The difference between a good strategy and what people think of a “good strategy” has grown over the years. In the opinion of Richard Rumelt a strategy is not a goal or a vision but a plan to achieve that ambition. It is fundamental to find and understand what problems an organization is facing and design a way to coordinate actions and resources in order to deal with those problems. The problem is when leaders cannot define those obstacles, making impossible to create a strategy to overcome the organization’s challenges; or when leaders mistake the plan to deal with the organization’s problems with statements of desire...

Religion: Good or Bad

...Religion: Good or Bad Rev. 2  Leonardo Faye  Instructor: Allison Keating –Jones English 090 6/9/2012       It is a belief that religion is a good thing for people to be involved with.  Religion is intimately attached to people’s existence and because of that many bad things have happened. Religion had been used in the past as an instrument to create instability between people, cities and countries. So, my question to you is it, Do you think that people is good enough to be involved in religion? Although religion has been around since the human race put a foot on this mistreated planet, most of the complications began when people started to socialize. In the beginning, mankind used religion to worship what they could not understand, the Sun, the Moon, Stars and Comets between other things. However, time passed and men gained knowledge and started to understand how the universe works. So the Sun was not a good idol anymore, but they still had things that they did not understand. For example, where people come from? Why are people here? Is all this coincidence? Was it just the result of a random chemical accident? People needed an answer, and their discovered God. God was good because He was something that nobody could see or hear or talk to. He was out there somewhere. Some people asked Him for protection or wisdom when in need. They had a source of relief in Him, life was tough and He provided hope. And hope was a good thing. But, the problem was that there was more...

Advertising Good or Bad?

...Advertising – Good or Bad? [pic] By Yongjoon Paek · October 17th, 2012 [pic] Is advertising economically good or bad? This week I continue my series on the economics of advertising. Adding on to the introduction of the informative and persuasive view that I wrote about in my previous article, let’s proceed to consider some more specific contributions, and advertising’s potential influence on welfare. Have economists been able to come to a sweeping conclusion about the very unusual good ‘advertising’? The answer to the above question is obviously ‘no’. Rarely do economists come to a sweeping conclusion about some phenomenon. As per usual, the answer is ‘it depends’. Kaldor (1950) brings a hallmark discussion to the economics of information. In this paper Kaldor argues for the persuasive nature of advertising and its uninformative nature. In particular an important insight is of the economies of scale in advertising. Informally this amounts to claiming that there are cost advantages to expanding and producing more. Intuitively, think of a local supermarket which advertises in the local newspaper every day for some inelastic price. This would mean, the more goods the supermarket brings in and sells, the lower the average cost of advertising (ignore demand and assume consumers can absorb the production). This insight implies that advertising may lead to lower prices in the market as quantity expands, especially if these economies of scale effects are significant. However...

Tasers, Good or Bad?

...The debate over the use of tasers by law enforcement always seems to heat up whenever there has been a taser death. Taser guns are an electric shock weapons that temporarily incapacitates the nerve transmission, disrupting voluntary muscle control. Tasers are used worldwide by many countries; some consider them to be firearms or safe police self-defense weapons, while others may view them as harmful killers. Tasers are the registered trademark of the company Taser International, who is also the original manufacturer, and the word is actually an acronym that stands for Thomas A. Swift's Electric Rifle. Created in 1974 by Jack Coker and later improved upon with the help of Tom Smith, who together started the company Taser International (Sun-Sentinel). It is a gun that stuns people by shocking the sensory and motor nerves to produce strong involuntary muscle contractions. In the world of stun guns, tasers that can project out are preferred by law enforcement officers. This reason is because they do not rely on the pain alone as these cause involuntary control. Enough to subdue the person all while maintain a safe distance. Although they were originally introduced as safe nonlethal weapons for self-defense, law enforcement has used them to control fleeing or aggressive suspects. Tasers then hit controversy when they were believed to have resulted in some deaths and severe injuries. One of the most publicized deaths involving a Taser occurred in Canada. A government investigation...

Good and Bad Acting

...Good And Bad Acting Good acting to me is very clear. From the start of the movie or show I can tell if someone is a good or bad actor. An important element to good acting is being able to 100%, completely transform into the character. So much so that whenever you see the actor again in another project, you can’t get that first character out of your head. A prime example of this are the actors of the TV show, Friends. For ten years, actors like Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, and Matthew Perry played the same exact characters. They each played their respective character so unbelievably well. They fell into a mold, and it grew bigger and bigger as the years and seasons continued. They also developed mannerisms for each character, and were consistent with them through out the seasons. Each character had its own little ‘thing’ that made them different and stand out from the rest. Every time I see Matt LeBlanc (who played Joey) in something else, I can’t get “How you doin’?” out of my head. I think sometimes there’s a downside to acting so well and being so good at one character, and that is, once it’s over, no one can see you as something different, and its hard for you to find new projects to work on. For me, I can’t see any of the Friends actors playing another role without thinking of their character in Friends. Another example of good acting, is in The Wolf of Wall Street. Leonardo Decaprio, Margot Robbie and Jonah Hill were unbelievable in that movie. They completely transformed...

The Good and Bad of College

...THE GOOD THE BAD OF COLLEGE College it's all up to you! The bad having to grow up. Your professors don't care if the dog ate your homework or you got into a fight with your best friend, parents, siblings etc., or lost your job, have a massive hangover, whatever - you have to have the self discipline necessary to do the work, do it well and get it in on time. Mom or Dad or Grandma won't be there to wake you, clean up after you or feed you. If you live in a dorm or apartment and have one or more roommates that can complicate things as well if you don't have compatible lifestyles. And plan on being broke almost all the time, unless you have a trust fund. Student loans. Of course no matter how you spin it, having debt coming out of college is a burden. The weather coming from Missouri we get snow but it doesn't get as cold as north Iowa. So adjusting to the weather is also a bad. Not having a home cooked meal. you have to get use to bad cafe food. Early morning classes it's hard waking up early after staying up all night. The last bad is having to wake up at 530 in the morning to workout and condition in the offseason. The good- being best friends with ramen noodles.. its easy and quick to male and always hits the stomach. having the freedom to do whatever you want, whenever you want is what college is all about. Going out? No need to ask anyone. There’s no curfew. Have a girlfriend? No need to ask your parents if she can sleepover. The only thing is that once you go home...

Good Bad Death

...was to better understand and assist these individuals in their time of need and make their deaths a little more comfortable and comforting. Another purpose of this study was to analyze how people with different diseases and different ages felt about death and what was a good death verses a bad death. Other studies have tried to define good and bad deaths by interviewing family members or doctors or to individuals that were terminally ill but had a longer life expectancy. This studies goal was to use what they have learned from these men and use it to define good and bad deaths. The justification of this study is to give doctors and nurse a better understanding for a terminally ill individual’s last moments. When the clinician knows how person prefers to die, whether it be in the hospital or at home, arrangements can be made to make this person comfortable. It will give the patient what he wants and will create less stress for the patient and their loved ones. Are People Good or Bad

...PHL 120: Contemporary Moral Issues Fall, 2008 Humans are social animals and it benefits the community as a whole for individuals to cooperate and not harm other members of the society in any way. We learn good from bad as a child and are instructed to "be good". Eventually a conscience forms and becomes an automatic guide in later life. People are programmed to do good. Those who have not developed a strong conscience also benefit from offers of reward and punishment, from peers, employers, police or religious leaders. Selfish people can choose to be bad; ignoring their consciences and even the punishments they know could await them. Others suffer from mental conditions such as psychosis and become "programmed" as bad individuals. The craving for drugs also plays a part in criminal behavior. We had a very interesting discussion this morning with one of the physicians here Barnes St Peter’s Hospital, as to whether or not people are inherently "good" or "bad." The general consensus was "bad," because of the "Adam and Eve" thing, and also that "no man is righteous..." My thoughts were that people are inherently good, but as a result of their upbringing and choices they make, they can choose to turn bad. I also added that I felt we all were born with our "God Spot" and throughout our lives, while some genuinely seek God's face, others may choose to fill their Spot with things that are less than holy, thereby creating for themselves false...

Is Tv Good or Bad ?

...Is TV Good or Bad? There are many people who think that television is a bad thing. As is the case with many things, television has its good points and its bad points. The first bad point about television is the amount of violence that occurs in some of the programmes. This may have a bad effect on children, who might be tempted to copy some of the violent acts. However, if children do react to that, it is not all the fault of the programme makers. As parents should be more careful about what they let their children view. Another disadvantage of television is that it has had a bad effect on people's social habits. In many cases, television has replaced hobbies such as reading and chess and has even prevented family members from having conversations with each other. Often people even eat their meals in front of the TV. However, people should limit their viewing to programmes that really interest them. The main advantage of television is that it provides us with a wide range of information. This information like news programmes and documentary provides us about what is going on in the rest of the world. This makes television a very important educational tool. It also has a social advantageas well. It can stop people from feeling lonely. People who live alone and have few friends often find TV a great comfort. There are good things and bad things about television. The most important thing about it is that we should learn to use it...
