THE IMPORTANCE OF A HAPPY FAMILY

A happy family is a family where the parents provide love and affection towards their children and towards themselves. These two aspects can be channeled by having a quality time together with all members of the family. Just like the picture above, they were having dinner together.
All family members gathered for the dinner. Auntie, uncle, grandmother and grandfather were all there. All of them were happy with the dinner. The grandfather told his grandchild a story about when he met with their grandmother. As he told the stories, the grandmother smile and laugh remembering the old times. The grandchild also laugh because of the story.
When the other were busy telling stories to each other, the mother cleaned up the dishes and the father along with her daughter help he in doing it. Even though they were the one who were cleaning up the table and the dishes, they were smiling because of the togetherness of the family.
Having a happy family is very important. Family is where we all belong to and from where our identity comes from. A person is valued based on his family and upbringing. We all belong to a family and it is our family that keeps us together through thick and thin. Without having a family, no person is complete and the completeness comes with good family bonding.
By having a happy family, our life will become better internally and externally. Furthermore, a child that grow with a happy family background will be less troublesome. Because the child get all the attention and affection he/she needs from his/her parents. A troublesome child usually comes from a broken family. The child make some trouble in order to get the attention from their

...Watching Less TV Assalamu Alaikum everyone. I am Sayeda Anika Amin and I’m going to talk about the topic ‘Watching Less TV’. Nielsen research of America showed that the average American watch TV an average of 5.1 hours a day. 5.1 hours a day is nearly 2000 hours a year or 78 days i.e. 2.5 full months. Even though these figures reflect the American population, the figures for other regions don’t deviate much. With all this time spent watching on TV, I wonder how we even have time to do anything else! Just imagine if we would have spent the fraction of this time working on our goals, we’d already be making so much headway in our goals by now! Watching TV actually slows down our brain. Since TV is a one way medium, we don’t engage and interact while watching it. Rather we only sit and watch which make us sluggish and inert. Imagine spending most of the time in front of TV everyday-it’s a matter of time before you turn into a zombie. It’s not co-incidence that heavy TV watchers are also stagnant and passive people. Finally I would like to end with a quote, Groucho Marx, a famous American comedian and a film star once said, “I find Television very educational. Every time someone switches is on I go into another room and read a good book.” Divorce Rate in Bangladesh Assalamu Alaikum. I am Sayeda Anika Amin before you. I would like to share my thoughts on the topic ‘Divorce Rate in Bangladesh’. Twenty three divorce cases were filed a day on an average in 2013 calendar year in Dhaka...

Nikki Rosa

...The word family brings to mind a group of people, blood or non-blood, who will always be supportive, and love unconditionally. That is why the most important word in Nikki Giovanni’s poem “Nikki Rosa” is “family”, even though it is found halfway through the poem. Ms. Giovanni uses the poem to talk about a fictional character, whom embodies herself and Rosa Parks, and how when the autobiographers talk about her background it is always about the negative aspects of poverty, and not the positive aspects of having a loving family. Nikki Giovanni starts the poem off talking in a sarcastic way about how “Childhood remembrances are always a drag If your Black,” to show the reader how people will remember a person’s childhood as being horrible, just because of the color of a person’s skin. She then continues on about undesirables like having an outside toilet, or living in the hood, but then directly correlates that with the positivity of her family. She writes, “If you become famous… they never talk about how happy you were to have your mother all to yourself.” At this point in the poem, Ms. Giovanni wants the readers to understand that her viewpoint, and the viewpoints of autobiographers, on a single parent household, are complete opposite. Autobiographers’ view having an uninvolved parent as a harmful impact that can affect a child’s life. On the other hand, Ms. Giovanni sees the good that can come from forming a deep, and personal bond with the involved parent. She then continues...

The Importance of Good Health

...The Importance of Good Health ‘Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well being, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.’ - World Health Organization Many people do not realize the importance of good health, and even if they do, they may still disregard it. Whether we work at home or in an office, we need good health in order to perform our duties well. When people talk about health, they usually refer to the condition of the body. However, health does not merely mean being free from physical pain or the symptoms of disease. The mind is of crucial consideration in the overall assessment of wellbeing. The necessity of good health is not limited to a particular religion, caste, creed or gender. Most diseases have their origin in mind, or the manomaya kosha. A person can be said to be healthy when his or her body is healthy and the mind is clear and calm. While many people may not have material problems, they may be unhappy or agitated at the psychological level. They may suffer from insomnia due to stress, or feel depressed, irritable and aimless. All these are the result of an unbalanced mind. Unfortunately, most of our attempts to become happy relate only to the body. We strive for materialistic ends, such as lucrative income, status, a big house, an expensive car, jewelry and so on, because we believe these things will make us happy. Seldom do we give attention to our mind and soul, which the time and resources we spend in trying to...

...10 Things Happy People Do Differently 10 strategies happy people incorporate into their lives Published on October 16, 2012 by Paula Davis-Laack, J.D., M.A.P.P. in Pressure Proof Happiness is having a large, caring, close-knit family in another city. George Burns How happy are you and why? This is a question I spend a fair amount of time thinking about, not only as it applies to my own levels of happiness, but also as it applies to my family, friends, and the people who I work with. Since graduating with my master’s degree in positive psychology, I’ve worked with and observed thousands of people in a wide variety of settings, and happy people just flow with the groove of life in a unique way. Here is what they do differently: 1) They build a strong social fabric. Happy people stay connected to their families, neighbors, places of worship, and communities. These strong connections act as a buffer to depression and create strong, meaningful connections. The rate of depression has increased dramatically in the last 50-75 years. The World Health Organization predicts that by 2020, depression will be the second leading cause of mortality in the world, impacting nearly one-third of all adults (Murray & Lopez, 1996). While several forces are likely behind this increase, one of the most important factors may be the disconnection from people and their families and communities. Cultural Interaction In Early Childcare

...Interactions are one of the most important elements of early childcare and education. As a practitioner, I now understand the importance of quality interactions between practitioner and child, as they help build strong relationships especially when the activity is meaningful and enjoyable (DCCC, 2012). Interactions in Happy Days Playschool are warm, nurturing and respectful, but through the Aistear-Síolta (2015) self-evaluations, I discovered that at times my interactions were often superficial or directive, which was denying me the opportunity to fully tune into the child’s learning and to build secure relationships with the child. Síolta (2006) acknowledge that the role of the practitioner in terms of ensuring constructive interactions with children is demanding, but through reflective practice, I was able to ‘slow down’ my every day interactions, particularly the technique of scaffolding in order to enhance children’s learning outcomes. Vygotsky (1962) stated that we learn through our interactions and communications with others. Vygotsky proposed that social interaction proceeds development and children learn tasks and abilities through...

...three definitions of friendship:1.      The quality or condition of being friends2.      A friendly relationship3.      Friendliness, good will In order to know what all these definitions mean we need to figure out what is the definition for friends. A friend is defined as a person whom one knows, likes, and trusts. So friendship is when two people know each other well, and trust each other.       Friendship is the relationship between two people who really care about each other. Your friendship will keep you happy, but it is not easy. Friendship demands time and effort, and sometimes you have to step over your pride and put yourself on the place of your friend, and see what she feels even if you think you are correct. But in exchange, a friend can provide a lot of support and comfort in good times and bad.       Many things are needed to make friendship a real one, including trustworthiness, support, honesty, and loyalty. Friendship is supposed to make both people happy, and enjoying their relationship. Yes, each person has an individual character and it is hard to find people who share your thoughts. Also, it might occur that at one point of life you are friends, and then something happened and you can never be friends anymore. Things happen, this is how life is. But without friendship, it’s hard to maintain happiness.        In my opinion, friendship is when you and your friend know that you...

Introduction to Management Unit 2

...the workings of an entire organization. The classical theory has the assumption that work is a rational undertaking that is done just to make money. The behavioral approach stresses understanding the importance of people’s needs and attitudes within the formal organization. This approach is also used for management so that they can understand the importance of the workers and their needs and their attitudes within the formal organization. The third approach is the systems approach. This approach uses organizations as sets of interrelated parts to be managed as a whole with the purpose of achieving one main goal. This organization consists of transformation processes, inputs and outputs, and feedback. The last and final theory is the contingency approach. This approach emphasizes identifying the key variable in each situation and understanding the relationships among the variables. It also recognizes the causes and effects of managerial decisions. The contingency approach is the result of the systems approach. Implementing a little of each theory in a successful way could possibly create an even better theory that will obtain the maximum production as well as happy and loyal employees. It is very important to make sure that the employees are happy. If employees are not happy, then it may affect the production of the company. "Happy" Compare and Contrast Essay

...The documentary called “Happy,” directed by Roko Belic, is about a quest to finding the meaning of happiness. The inspirational film travels to numerous countries to find out what really makes people happy. It demonstrates powerful real-life stories of people showing their personal definition of happiness. Scientists also offer their input on the secret of this emotion and talk about intrinsic and extrinsic goals. Extrinsic and intrinsic goals represent two very different types of motivation that are the basis for a person’s journey to achieving what they feel is happiness. Extrinsic and intrinsic goals differ in the type of happiness a person is able to achieve. Extrinsic goals are external factors that come from a force outside one’s self that drive a person towards happiness. Someone who is extrinsically motivated is driven by praise, money, image, or status. It is often said that money can’t buy happiness. It perhaps can buy happiness with meeting basic needs, but usually it cannot go beyond that because you are often left with wanting more. The happiness of an event or materialistic thing often dissipates, leaving people seeking for something more. On the other hand, intrinsic goals represent internal factors that are inherently satisfying. Goals like social bonding, social interaction, and personal growth motivate certain people to lead happier and less anxious lives. It is believed that you as an individual choose to be happy. People who are intrinsically...
