As Telemachos briskly walked past a group of maids, they immediately stopped their whispering and they nervously scurried their separate ways. Telemachos quietly walked down the hall away deep in thought and what they could have been talking about. He found his nurse Eurykleia, and asked her to help him with his mission at hand, to hide his father’s weapons from the suitors who have taken over his home. “Why?” said Eurykleia. “After all these years, my father’s weapons have been carelessly strewn about and has become dirty, I would like to put them away before they become useless.” lied Telemachos (Lattimore 19) Without further saying anything Eurykleia assisted Telemachos in being a look out while Odysseus and Telemachos walked down the dimly lit hallway.
