Dr. Massey World view essay
The very first time I heard about a world view, I questioned, what does that mean? I looked up the meaning in a dictionary based on the context. But it was still very unclear to me. I could not provide a very strong meaning of the word, “world view”. Due to the ordeal that I I was in while I was saved, I had no idea what it actually meant to be a true Christian and a child of God. But from that time hence forth, the lord has given me a better understanding of the word, “worldview”. I’m so thankful and grateful because the more I think about what I have learned from taking this class; the more excited I get about the plans God has for me now that I have a good knowledge of who I am in him. The joy of having a good understanding of who I am in Christ, guides and influences the way I think, what I know, and the way in which I perceive things that are around me. I work in a Nursing home facility I’m sent to do my job without any limitations God choose for me to work there for a purpose, So that I can help the sick patients in my own little way. I strongly believe that I am created by God, and he created me in a very special and exclusive way, he made me in a way that I would be able to fulfill a very special and distinctive responsibility on earth John 15:16 “You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the father in my name, he may give it to you” not only am I unique and have a special purpose, the bible has made me to understand that God did thought of me before he even made the earth. “For whom he foreknew, he also foreordained to be conformed to the image of his son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren” Romans 8:29.
My main aim in life is to have a special relationship with God. God knew me even before I was conceived. He is the Omniscience God. God already planned for me to have that kind of relationship with him. He knew me from the beginning. He knew my strengths and my weakness and he wanted a relationship with me. I strongly believe that God has a very great plan for my career. It matters to God what I do with my days, my time and my entire life matters to him. I do not make up my own fate; I don’t determine my plans. Because if I did, I would be living in poorness, on the other hand, I sincerely know that if I seek God with all my heart, he will reveal and lead me into his plan for my life. He will guide me to a plan that will flourish me. I will be prosperous in the ways that really matters, in the ways that God says are important, “The lord will guide you continually, giving you water when you are dry and restoring your strength. You will be like a well watered garden, like an ever- flowing spring” Isaiah 58:11 As a child of the most high, I am unconditionally loved, recognized and completely forgiven. Even though sometimes I am bond to do what I know is very displeasing to God but I still do it any ways. But because of the unconditional love that he has for me; ‘if we say openly that we have sinned he is still just and faithful” 1 John 1:9. “come now, let us reason together, says the lord. “ though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool” Isaiah 1:8
I am a Christian, and my worldview is based on a biblical Christian world view. My world view begins with the truth I know about myself and extends to the patients that I serve. I have a specific reason for being here on earth and I believe my patients all have a purpose as well; my utmost missions is to make that truth known to them. Whenever I go t work it is so important that I make it known that they are important, worthy and valuable because God made them in his image and likeness. Although it is highly prohibited to legally preach my world view to my patients but life style and my attitude toward my patient should demonstrate my belief. “Show yourself in all respects to be model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity and dignity”. Titus 2:7.

I feel the word of God coming in to my hart and I have no problem being vigilant about sinning. The Biblical world view I am going to talk to you about is Gods image from two sides. Frist I will share with you the view of the Old Testament and second I will share the view of the New Testament. The Theological world view on the Old Testament and the New Testament on Gods image there is no big contradictions if you understand how to read the narratives and understand the Bible. I will say that in the Old Testament narratives do talk more about man made from God image from flesh narratives then flesh and bone narratives except one passage. The characteristics of...

...1. In today’s culture the Christian gospel is perceived in many different ways. The Christian gospel is viewed as being too conservative in our main stream culture. All these views are based on how as a society, we are developed and educated. 2. Some specific emotional reasons why people may reject the Christian gospel is that each individual is raised in their own environment with different beliefs and religions. Theo 104 Reflection

...Reflection Jeremy Simms Theology 104 Doctor Jones June 30, 2012 Reflection: I. Introduction: Throughout this course of study I have been challenged, and my awareness as a Christian has been heightened. There have been several questions raised that deserve not only an answer, but diligence in the research and understanding necessary to answer with confidence, vigor and enthusiasm. The first question that will be answered is simple in thought, but more complex in true understanding. Does the Bible have authority? Next, we will discuss the importance of personal testimonies in sharing the gospel. Finally, we will look at life as a Christian. If a person is a Christian, does it matter how they live their life? Throughout the following pages these questions will be explored and answered fully, truly and completely. II. Section One: Does the Bible have authority? Many people read the Bible with cynicism in their hearts and attempt to be overly critical as a result. This is true for both Christians and non-believers alike. In some ways it seems easier to look for a mistake or try to disprove scripture instead of having true faith. This poses the question. Does the Bible have authority? If so, where does its authority come from and how do we know? There are many arguments that show the Bible’s authority and confirm the scripture is the word of God. The most powerful to me personally is the convicting, convincing...

...THEO 104 – D38 Laura DeMoor July 9, 2016 Experience With Theology Essay For me, the word theology means the study of God, or the study of why God does certain things. I have never given much more thought to the word, other than the basic meaning of it. I think theology helps us to really understand the nature of God, as well as the science behind his character and his attributes. When I was younger, my pastor was discussing theology. At that age, I just thought this word meant studying God’s attributes. When I was a little bit older, my mom told me to look at the root words in the word theology, and I found that the word “theology” comes from two Greek words – theos meaning “God” and –ology, meaning “word” or the study of the word. So the word’s literal meaning is God’s word or the study of it. Now, I think it describes God and his word but it also tries to help us, as Christians, understand why God puts us through the things He does. Sometimes, it can be hard to really grasp why God has bad things happen or good things happen. Obviously, I would love a passing grade in this course, but I would also love to learn the real meaning of the word theology, and not some meaning I came up with when I was a child. I’ve taken several Bible courses before at this school and at my old college, but I have never taken a theology class. I feel like I still am lacking in my knowledge about God and the Bible, so I am hoping that this class will teach me more. I think in order to...

Theo 104 Reflection Paper

...Theo 104-D66 LUO 26 January 2015 Reflection Paper 2 Introduction: My second reflection paper will address the subject of Angels and Demons. Having little life experience with Christianity until being baptized in April of 2014, angels and demons were only in movies and not to be considered real or anything to really think about. Liberty University classes have opened my mind to a new world, church is not just for attending on Sunday and socializing with other like minded Christians but it is to contemplate a world beyond what is seen by man. Angels and Demons are real and with some serious study of the subject a person can see it all around and it having been all around since the beginning of time. Theological Definition of Angels: There are ten major theological areas of study and angels are part of that ten, this study is called “Angelology”. Scholars have many views about angels and some even ignore the subject all together but they are clearly documented in the Bible. According to Roman Catholic doctrine God is so powerful and at the sight of him a human will perish and that God created angels to serve as his liaison with the mortal world and act in God’s name, and since they do not have the tendencies of human flesh they serve as the bridge that separates the Holiness of God from the people of this earth. (KJV, Hebrews 1:14) Angels are essentially “ministering spirits”. Biblical Definition of Angels: Angels are mentioned in over thirty books of the Bible...

...In order for outsiders to see Christians as the church, believers need to be more committed to God, be more compassionate when sharing their faith, and be more transparent to visitors. Without these qualities, the church can seem uninviting. As Towns explains, "God designed the church to be a place where interactive relationships help believers experience God" (108). How can visitors experience God's love if believers are not being more like Jesus? This is why it is so important to be aware, as believers, how outsiders view the church as a whole. With these thoughts in mind, the church can only improve. A few ways, for believers to become more committed to God, is for them not to be caught up in the everyday lifestyle. There is so much technology in our world that distracts our attention from God. We need to be in the Word every day to feel His presence. God is our Father. As Towns informs, "family is the foundational social institution of society" (107). Staying committed to a local church is another way for believers to strengthen their relationship with God. Attending only on Sundays; or holidays, does not seem trustworthy or genuine. Towns informs, "The church is a flock that follows the Shepherd" (106). Daily attendance at a local church allows believers to grow in relationship with fellow believers. We were not meant to go through situations alone. The church is one body, with members of unique gifts. The church is suppose to help each other with whatever they need. Outsiders...

Theo 104 Reflection 2

...Reflection Paper 2 I. Introduction: As I said in my first Reflection Paper, my knowledge and exposure to Christianity has been somewhat limited. Throughout my life I have been a person who wanted to know “Why” and have factual proof to support my thoughts and ideas. I have chosen Historical Theology and Fulfilled Prophecy as my two topics. By reading about Historical Theology I am developing a better understanding of some of the essential points of Christian Doctrine. Fulfilled Prophesies provide definitive proof to give my beliefs in Christianity and the Bible a solid foundation. I plan on using both to develop as a knowledgeable and responsible Christian. Since my knowledge of these two topics is in its infancy and I must always keep in mind to crawl before walking and walk before running. II. Part One: Historical Theology a. Historical Theology is described as the study of the development and history of Christian doctrine. While closely related to Historical Theology, Church History should remain separate from Historical Theology. Historical Theology records changes in doctrine that led to divisions and movements within church and Church History is the record of the divisions and movements. b. Luke gives us the Biblical Foundation for Theological History. He began by recording his account of “all that Jesus began to do and to teach” (Acts 1:1). The book of Acts is the account of what Jesus continued to do and teach through his church. Acts 28:30-31 conclude with,...

Theo 104 Reflection Paper 2

...Jenna Erickson THEO 104-D14 5/4/15 Reflection Paper 2 I. Introduction For my second reflection paper, similar to my first, I am choosing two topics in which can somewhat go hand in hand with each other. The two topics I am choosing are: Creation and the Fall of Man. In today’s primarily secular culture, the teachings of creation and the fall of man are topics that are too commonly misrepresented and misunderstood amongst many. Both creation and the fall of man are fundamental foundations to establishing a Christian biblical worldview. In two separate sections, I will present creation and the fall of man, while going in-depth into the theological definitions, biblical foundations, and practical applications for both. I will tackle these topics in the order in which they happened, and discuss how this relates to myself and how this class has helped me to get to this point of a better understanding of the scriptures teachings. II. Part One – Creation a. Theological Definition The ideology of creation preaches that the one true God created ex nihilo, or out of nothing, the universe and everything within it. God created the “heavens, the earth, the fish, the various kinds of species of animals, and man as the crown of His creation” (Townes, Origin). This doctrine claims that there was nothing before His creation; no time, substance, space, energy, beings, area or etc. God’s existence alone stood before creation and is solely responsible for everything there is and continues...

...Theology 104-D14 Jenna Erickson Reflection Paper 1 04/13/2015 I. Introduction Upon sitting down at my desk to write this Reflection paper, I had to put a lot of time and thought into which topics I wanted to discuss and go further in-depth with. Knowing where I stood throughout much of my life, and then in the beginning of this class I have decided upon the topics of Doubt and Reconciliation. I believe these two topics can go hand-in-hand with each other. Doubt being first, but then overcoming that obstacle and then seeking reconciliation for the previous doubt. I will tackle these topics in the order in which I believe they happen, and then discuss how this relates to myself and how this class has helped me get to this point, having gained a better understanding of the scriptures. II. Part One – Doubt a. Theological Definition People can doubt many things throughout their life; people, claims, objects, time, situations and sometimes even facts. While there are many people who do not stray or question their faith in God or Jesus Christ, there are still also many that do continue to retain doubts. Doubt is not fully a bad thing with faith because it is a person trying to make logical sense of the stories and teachings by weighing evidence, and in turn doing further research to which gives us a deeper understanding of our faith and belief. Doubt helps keep us from making fast judgements or conclusions, poor choices, trusting inconsistent people or sources and much more...

...Tremaine Jenkins Reflection Paper 1 Theology 104 Due: Monday, February 10, 2014 LOVE (Luv) Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. (1Cor 13:4-8) Introduction: Most people define love as a type of feeling. We "fall in love," or two people meet and it is "love at first sight." The world's definition of the word love is all about self. If two people are attracted to each other they must be nice to one another to get attention, and for the affection to be returned. The world's love is based on receiving from one another not giving. The world does not just give love to others when it is not beneficial to them. People tend to feel that if you are not pleasing me then I have no love to give to you. For people that are not Christians love is something that has to be earned by making someone else feel good. Powerful emotions accompany love, but it is the commitment of the will that shows true biblical love is steadfast and does not change. “The human personality is primarily comprised of three aspects---the intellect, the emotion, and the will.” (Praxis, 77) Emotions may change, but the commitment to love in a biblical way endures all and is the hallmark of a disciple of Christ...

...Kaleb Parrent Mr. Seth Johnson Theology 104 3 April 2015 Reflection Paper 2 Assignment I. Introduction In today’s predominately secular culture, the doctrine of creation and the doctrine of the immaterial “heart” of man are topics too commonly misrepresented and are profoundly misunderstood amongst many Christians today. The doctrine of creation and the doctrine of the immaterial nature of man are fundamental cornerstones within the Christian worldview that promulgate a rational coherent, consistent doctrine that when properly taught can equip Christians today with important theological knowledge that facilitates their pursuit of effective ministry. Divided into two separate topics, I will subsequently expound upon the Christian doctrine of creation and the doctrine on the immaterial nature of man, outlining the theological definition, biblical foundation, and practical application for each. II. Doctrine of Creation a. Theological Definition The doctrine of creation propagates that an eternal, infinite and immaterial Triune God created ex nihilo, or out of nothing, the universe and everything within it. God created the “heavens, the earth, the fish, the various kinds of species of animals, and man as the crown of His creation” (Townes, Origin). This doctrine asserts that there was no preexistent material existed before creation, emphasizing God’s existence alone before creation, and affirming His infinitude, eternality, self-existence, self-sufficiency, omnipotence...

...The one argument that I liked was, the extraordinary claims that the Bible is from God. I would like to start with this quote, “I am very grateful that God chose to inspire His revelation to us through the use of the writers of scripture .He chose to use limited humanity to communicate something about His infinite self ,and that to me is truly amazing” ( PRAXIS BEYOND THEORY-Gabriel Etzel and Ben Gutierrez :page 20 ). We are the body of Jesus Christ.{ Romans 12:5 ) Body define as the physical structure of a person or an animal, including the bones, flesh, and organs.(www.google.com),our body, and its members belong to Christ, it is up to God how He use our body, to write, speak, touch and think in ways to reach mankind. In the Old Testament days men were moved by the Holy Spirit, they prophesy, and wrote God’s Word.( 2 Peter 1:21,Exodus 34:27 ) Lewis S. Chafer, founder and former president of Dallas Theological Seminary, said, “It is not such a book as man would write if he could, or could write if he would.” Man in our sinful state could not, write such a book as the bible without God helping, inspiring him, because in our sin nature our members belongs to the enemy. We would write a bible that would indorse a kill, steal and destroy lifestyle, ( John 10:10 )instead of loving God with all of your heart, and your neighbor as yourself, without God the bible would not be about love unconditional, and that kind of love brings about change, restoration, and forgiveness...

It’s also due to its workforce management practices. Below, excerpts from a book Trader Joe’s Adventure, review the company’s management compensation, encouragement of multitasking, screening and wages, careful use of money, fun culture, sense that its people are its brand, and communication style. Learning Objective: Our focus with this case is on immersing students in the fundamentals of organizational culture. Organizational culture is defined as a complex set of shared beliefs, guiding values, behavioral norms, and basic assumptions acquired over time that shape our thinking and behavior; they are part of the social fabric of the organization—its genetic code. As such, culture drives the organization and guides the behavior of everyone in that organization—how they think, feel, and act. In other words, the culture forms a behavior template. Davis and Landa succinctly captured the essence of culture when they say, The factors which define culture are in part internal, deriving from the unique character of the organization and, in part external, determined by the background and experiences managers and employees bring to the enterprise. Culture is a major determinant of productivity; it shapes organizational responses to external pressures; and suppresses or enhances...
