I think this is probably the most important points, the measurements . I know you've heard the saying “ baking is a science” , which it is, more like chemistry than anything else. That's because you're going to be dealing with different measurements of different ingredients when combined make different reactions. If you really want to make the best chocolate chip cookie maker in the world then just follow my simple directions! Before I tell you the ingredients I should tell you what you’ll need first! You’ll need: 2 cups of all-purpose flour, ½ teaspoons of baking soda ( make sure its baking soda and not baking powder), ½ teaspoons of salt, ¾ cup of unsalted (melted) butter, 1 cup of packed brown sugar, ½ cup of white sugar, 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract, 1 egg, 1 egg yolk, and 2 cups of semi sweet chocolate chips. If you have all of those, then you can’t possibly go wrong! When you have all of your ingredients then you can preheat your oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Don’t forget to grease your cookie sheets or line with Parchment paper! After you’ve done that then go ahead and mix the flour, baking soda and salt together. Set that aside until needed. Then, in a medium bowl, cream together the melted butter, brown sugar and white sugar until well blended. Beat in the vanilla, egg, and egg yolk until light and creamy. Mix in the sifted ingredients until just blended. Stir in the chocolate chips by hand using a wooden spoon. Drop cookie dough 1/4 cup at a time onto the prepared cookie sheets. Don’t put the cookies too close to each other, each cookie should be about 3 inches apart. Once you’ve done that now you’re ready for the baking process! The first and last step is to combine all of your wet and dry ingredients then spoon out onto the cookie sheet, bake for 15 to 17 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the edges are lightly toasted. Let the cookies cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely. If you follow these directions and have all of the correct ingredients then you’ll surely have the best cookies in the world! I guarantee it!
