Thinking and Decision Making
In today’s society thinking styles and decision making are numerous and a decision- maker must have the skill set of thinking clearly and applying them to arrive at an equitable decision that is right for the purpose intended. Diverse people think differently and as such different ways in coming to a decision. However, thinking styles are as different as are people and as such there many different ways to think and come to the decisions. Thinking styles are many, but three styles that will be written about are: creative, logical, and scientific, these methods are commonly used at arriving to a decision, whether in personal or in business situations. Individuals approach various methods of thinking in ways that are somewhat inherent to their teaching or the skills that have been reinforced in formal schooling or other setting. This paper will examine similarities and differences between the three thinking styles such as creative, logical and scientific. By learning more about these thinking styles one will be able to learn more about the differences so that a workforce or an individual can be better equipped to analyze situations and make decisions.
Creative Thinking
To stimulate curiosity and promote divergence, clever business people think creatively. Creative thinking involves creatively generating something new or original then critically evaluating it (American Scientific Association, n.d.). Generating creative thought is the fun part but evaluating it is more difficult. Creative thinking requires skill, flexibility, originality, and imagination. Creative thinking enables people to open his or her imagination and reach new limits. People must recognize, appreciate, and encourage different styles of creativity and value the originality

The Bioecological Model of Human Development

...This paper will discuss the effects of abortion on the women who have this procedure. For many cultures abortion is a horrible act. It is considered murder of an unborn human being. In today`s society many people still consider abortion to be an unethical practice and dangerous procedure. It is a typical conflict theory argument of social problems in today’s society. It is a conflict in society because it comes down to peoples ethical and religious stand point that is what makes up the conflict. Ethical is either it right because the fetus is in the women’s body and its her choice to choose if she wants to be a mom or not. The other side of the ethics argument czn stem from religious as well it is a life and murdering an unborn baby is wrong. There are two groups of people who fight to sway the law makers to their side the pro abortionist group and the antiabortion group (Henslin, J. M. 2011). These are commonly known as the prolife and prochoice groups. Many people though when you use these terms don’t take the group seriously they considered these people radicals. There are protesters who believe they are standing up for the unborn by murdering abortion doctors and burning down abortion clinics. The vigil-anti`s think this is justifiable due to the fact that abortion doctors are taking innocent lives and without the clinic there would be no place to have an abortion. The pro-choice group believes that abortion...

Project Management

...AD351– Project Management What is a project “Operations Management” is concerned with the transformation of inputs and resources into outputs. The transformation system to be used is dictated by the charateristics of the required inputs and the desired outputs. For instance, for mass manufacturing (where outputs and inputs are standardized, and products facing high demands are produced in very large quantities), the transformation system may take the form of an “assembly line” (as in automotive manufacturing). When managing a transformation system, the type of managerial concerns or problems to be addressed depends on the nature of the transformation system being used. For instance, managing an assembly line, we face concerns (which we will study later in this course) particular to assembly lines. A project is another way of transforming inputs and resources into outputs. Projects are the appropriate transformation processes to use when: - unique, custom outputs (products or services) may be demanded, - thus, a variety of non-standardized inputs may be used, - thus, two consecutive jobs or orders may require totally different durations, - typically, the desired production level is quite low, or even a single unit, - the transformation process may be stopped or delayed at little cost, and - a large part of the workforce needs to be highly skilled. Projects typically involve large scale, complex production processes. ...
