CHAPTER 3
SUBSJECTIVISM IN ETHICS
Question 1:
Answer:
Basic assumption of ethical subjectivism ethical subjectivism believes that Morality is subjectivism as it based on our feelings.
No action “per see” is right or wrong. There is no rightness or wrongness in it. There are only feelings about an action. E.g. killing, lying etc as actions are morally neutrals.
What exists is only our positive or negative feeling about these actions. So in line of this thought Hitler’s crematoria are not morally wrong actions. The only fact is that most people feel that it is wrong and few people feel that it is right.
Another example would be homosexuality. It is not a fact that it is good or bad. Os when someone such as Samwell says homosexuality is wrong. He is not stating a fact about homosexuality. Instead he is merely saying something about his feelings toward it.
Question 2:
Answer:
a. We are accustomed by science about may providing scientific evidence. So, we expect that morality gives us also strong evidence about moral issues: if H2O=water, 2+2=4 etc why not have the same or similar way of proving that action A is right, action B is wrong etc?
In morality, though we are not allowed /able to use statistics formula, measurement, experiment, labs etc like in science. We can only use syllogism, logic, arguments, conclusions and concepts etc that lead us to find out the truthness /rightness on the falsehood or wrongness. b. Even in sciences there are plenty of issues that scientists disagree. So we may over estimate that power of scientific agreements.

Checkpoint - Navigation

...Research the best practices for site navigation. • Find examples of effective site navigation from the Internet. • Identify examples of how you would like your site navigation to work and function. • Take a screen shot of at least one example. • Write a 700- to 1,500-word paper explaining the effective design features. Include the screen shot. • Post your paper as an attachment. I take great pride in making my site look great and also be extremely accessible. There are plenty of sites I visit that actually do not have the best navigational features or even the best looks to them. ESPN.com has always been one of the sites that I visit most frequently. Recently the design changed and I find it overall to be pretty good, but I would not like to mirror my site after its design. Another site that I constantly visit is that of IGN.com. This site used to be designed in a way that I loved. All of the best links could easily be found in the left hand column (Reviews, Previews, Release Dates, Codes and much more). The current site design is much more complicated and they actually left out some of the things that I visited often. It is almost impossible to browse reviews of older games without looking for a specific game. When I picture my website in my head there are a few things that I think of. I would like to have a graphic or banner at the top of the page that gets people attention and lets them know about the site at the same time.......

Geography

...Introduction My aim was to study the changes of the river Chess from source to confluence. The hypothesis: There is a correlation between river discharge and erosion. My key questions: Will the wetted perimeter increase further downstream ? Will the river channel get wider further downstream ? Will the river channel get deeper further downstream ? Will the velocity increase further downstream ? Will the pebble size change further downstream? The key terms I will use are: Discharge – the amount of water being released Meander- bend in the river Lower course - the section of the river near the sea, where deposition is the most important process and the valley becomes wider and flatter. Middle course - the section of the river between the mountains and the lowland, where transport of eroded material is important and the river begins to cut sideways due to the reducing gradient. Upper course - the mountain stage of a river with steep gradients and much erosion. Confluence – where the tributary meet the main river channel Erosion – wearing away on land from hydraulic action , abrasion , attrition , solution. Attrition- The particles are knocked about as they are transported, and they gradually become more rounded and reduced in size. Abrasion- the pebbles being transported wear away the bed and banks of the river channel. Hydraulic Action: The sheer force of the water by itself can erode material from the bed and banks of the river channel. Solution:......

Week 8 Gen Checkpoint

...conclusion that my strongest intelligence is the interpersonal one. I also completed an assessment from my first web site www.literacyworks.org that also concluded that my strongest one is in fact, the social or interpersonal intelligence. Chapter two of our text describes the interpersonal intelligence to be, the ability to relate to others, noticing their moods, motivations, and feelings (social activity, cooperative learning, and team work) The first web site I visited was www.literacyworks.org. I first completed the assessment to reassure myself that I had chosen the strongest one for me from our text. After I completed the assessment it directed me to a page describing my results, which were, social or interpersonal intelligence. This web site reinforced that interpersonal was the strongest choice for me. A few thing mentioned on this site about this intelligence were, that these people love to talk, have good social skills, and like to learn from others. All of those statements fit me perfectly. The second site I visited was www.Idpride.net/learningstyles. This web site had even more information than the first one I visited. This web site had one statement that didn’t fit my personality. It said, “People who fall into the interpersonal intelligence group are great organizers.” I have a lot of skills but organization isn’t one of them. All of the other statements this site made about interpersonal intelligence fit me to a tee. One that really caught my attention was,......

Tech Support

... The Basics Of Online Tech Support In this paper I will share my experiences of On-Line Tech Support and the adventures of getting problems solved through the use of the Internet. First, I selected the main purpose for my search of on-line tech support. Since I was having problems with my computer with its daily operations, I felt that there was nowhere to turn but to reboot the computer and start from scratch. However, I was not to keen on the idea of erasing all my data and starting over and thought that perhaps there was another way to fix my issues. I used the on-line tech support web site www.Help.com. After searching the Internet for an interesting or catchy home page of Internet tech support, I stumbled upon help.com. I read the intro page and look under some of the discussions and decided to enter the domain and ask my help question. Which was, “ how do you erase your computers data and start all over?” After being prompted to sign up for the account and agreeing to the user agreement options. I started off by reading previous post, for ideas of answers and posted dialogue that was being shared. Unfortunately my question was not asked previous and I had to venture out on my own to request the answer. This website and the postings at this website where very strange to say the least. Several post where very personal and I had a feeling this web site was not just for computer tech problems, but for every day life......

Web Site Publication Process

...Web Site Publishing Process Mario Padilla IT/237 September 3, 2011 University of Phoenix/Axia College Web Site Publishing Process Today there are many ways to publish your website, which should be evaluated according to what you want to communicate on the Internet. What we published is one of the first questions to be asked. We want to publish a personal website, professional, a blog, audio or otherwise. This election will define our initial publication, which is why we must be very sure and plan as much as possible. The type of site we post will play a main objective which we must be clearly delineated before doing anything. Then how the public. This takes into account the resources and knowledge which we have or could have. The primary budget will define what kind of publication can take shape. If we do not have sufficient funding to pay for a hosting, a domain, we have sufficient training or to edit our pages the best choice is to use a wizard to publish a free hosting service or sponsored. The choice of site hosting quite fit with final scope of our project. If your site has dynamic pages need to have databases, but any host that suits us in terms of speed, stability and service is adequate. We must also consider other issues such as how many e-mail allows us to hold that share file transfer and offers support when implementing forms and other services such as domain aliases, sub domains, statistics, etc.. Internet Research

...Strange, Foreign World 2 My knowledge of Internet research is limited. I made it through the first 14 years of my education thumbing through library card files and magazine reference books. In my mind, a big stack of books and articles was the only sign of thorough research. I feared Internet research for the same reason that my mother hated microwave ovens (at least until she had the chance to use one). The Internet was a strange, foreign world to me. Like my mother and her microwaves, I feared it because I did not understand it. However, my mother has learned to love her microwave, and becomes testy if for some reason she can't use it. Maybe there's hope for me, after all. I did possess a smattering of knowledge about the Internet. My feeble attempts to locate long-lost friends yielded an awareness of some sites called "Yahoo!", "Excite!" and "Lycos!". I knew that if I typed in a word or two, then clicked on the word "Search", that a listing of references would pop up. Attached to these references were some obscure foreign hieroglyphics that usually started out with something like "http:\\%$@@!!" I have heard about chat rooms but had never forth into that unknown world until I was required to enter the MOO discussion room. Armed with this vast wasteland of information, I began my research. Having recently acquired an orchid plant, I was determined to become an orchid aficionada overnight. My history with horticulture is riddled with......
