"Yawning involves opening the mouth involuntarily while taking a long, deep breath of air. This is usually done as a result of drowsiness or weariness."

As we first met our professor in Comski2, the first thing she said to us are the ones she don't like when we are inside the classroom especially when having class discussion. As she was speaking in front of us we are all shocked when she said her rule "No Yawning" because for all we know yawning became our habit or commonly witnessed as human behavior.

Yawning is imporant because it's one of the best things we can do for our brain. It may even help us to enhance social awareness, compassion, and effective communication with others.

But what if our professor implemented the rule "No Yawning" during class discussion? Maybe for as students it is difficult to conform to the rule because it may became a habit for us. Yawning is normal and it is a good thing. It’s one of the best things we can do for our brain. It's one way we can keep the brain awake and alert. It is also a sign that reminds us to sleep or to have a rest. But for some instance it is a sign of disrespect especially when there is someone speaking in front of you. It has also been associated with drowsiness and boredom.

Here are some tips to get rid of yawning:
• If you are bored of the existing environment, get up and involve yourself in some other interesting work.
• Drink a glass of water. Drinking a lot of water will help you to rehydrate the body and thus, rejuvenates the body and suppresses the feeling of yawning at least for some time.
• Chew gums or always have something in your mouth. This helps to keep the brain active and prevent yawning.
• Have a good night's sleep. This is the most important step. A good 8 hours sleep is recommended. Thus, reducing the chances of getting bored easily.
• Avoid staring at others who are yawning because it is contagious.

This tips will surely help us to get rid of yawning during class hours. Better mind those tips so that will not get a "bang" by Tita A and if we'll caught by her we'll face some consequences.

"Yawning is not an outward sign of one being tired but rather an indicator of one waking themselves up."
