Impromptu Essay This essay “Tiffany Stephenson—An Apology,” by Bjorn Skoquist is a story that dates back to Skoquist’s younger years and how he eventually found out how and where he fit in, in his new school. Unfortunately, the way he found himself making friends was at the expense of a young girl, Tiffany Stephenson. The bullying started out as threats and mean jokes, but as time went on and the other children in the class felt more power over Tiffany, things got worse. Skoquist described their actions towards the end of the year as, “weren’t especially foul, but they were inhuman” (Skoquist 13). Reading that sentence made me cringe, because I feel as if I have seen and been in situations like that. The bright side to this depressing story, …show more content…
My answer is not yes for the reasons you may think, like how I can tell he is very sorry from the essay he wrote and how I am sure he really wishes he wouldn’t have done what he did. Though those things may be true, my reason for forgiving him would be because he was ignorant. He was just a child, he didn’t realize how bad his words could really affect someone, or really even have a good concept of what bullying can do to a person’s mental and physical health. I would forgive him, only because he did what he felt like he had to in order to make friends. He was scared, coming from a small school of 100, to a much bigger sized public school. I understand transitioning is hard, and moving to somewhere where you know nobody, you are basically ready to mold yourself into whatever people want you to be in order to fit in to the community. I also would say to him, that I forgive him because if the class had decided to pick on someone else, I may have been in the same positon he was.
Though his apology came later in life, and the bullying may have made it hard for me growing up, it shaped me as a person. Although bullying is a terrible and awful thing, it often makes a person stronger if they are able to rise above all the hatred and be true to themselves, no matter what others may think. So once again, if I was Tiffany Stephenson, I would whole-heartedly accept the apology from Bjorn

Analysis Of Bjorn Skoquist's 'An Apology'

...cruel species. Sometimes we participate for the sake of belonging and history shows that humans have done worse to save themselves from the torture of others. When we are children we don’t understand the reason we do what do, it is a basic instinct to survive and our brains are not developed enough to understand this. With the story of “An Apology” our author Bjorn Skoquist explains very well that instinct to fit in and survive and what this caused him to do to an innocent young girl named Tiffany Stephenson. Our dear Tiffany is the unfortunate victim of childhood bullying and a classic example of the majority verses the few. The questions is, are Skoquist’s actions forgivable? As someone who can relate from both sides, I will toss my hat towards forgiveness....

Bloodlines of the Illuminati

...Bloodlines of Illuminati by: Fritz Springmeier, 1995 Introduction: I am pleased & honored to present this book to those in the world who love the truth. This is a book for lovers of the Truth. This is a book for those who are already familiar with my past writings. An Illuminati Grand Master once said that the world is a stage and we are all actors. Of course this was not an original thought, but it certainly is a way of describing the Illuminati view of how the world works. The people of the world are an audience to which the Illuminati entertain with propaganda. Just one of the thousands of recent examples of this type of acting done for the public was President Bill Clinton’s 1995 State of the Union address. The speech was designed to push all of the warm fuzzy buttons of his listening audience that he could. All the green lights for acceptance were systematically pushed by the President’s speech with the help of a controlled congressional audience. The truth on the other hand doesn’t always tickle the ear and warm the ego of its listeners. The light of truth in this book will be too bright for some people who will want to return to the safe comfort of their darkness. I am not a conspiracy theorist. I deal with real facts, not theory. Some of the people I write about, I have met. Some of the people I expose are alive and very dangerous. The darkness has never liked the light. Yet, many of the secrets of the Illuminati are locked up tightly simply because secrecy is a way...
