Rikki Tikki killed Karait to protect his family. “It was dark in the hole, and Rikki-tikki never knew when it might open out and give Nagaina room to turn and strike at him.” (Para 96) At the end of the story Rikki Tikki was so brave he followed Nagina in to her old hole.Rikki Tikki had the courage to go into Naginas old hole to kill her so he could protect his family.
