His thrilling characters and powerful stories really makes the reader get suddenly close to the characters. The character I like the most is Kiowa. In my opinion I think he is the most decent character in this book. He’s caring, thoughtful, respectful, courageous, and even has a sense of humor. For this project I decided to do a movie poster. I drew Kiowa big in the middle to show that he is a very important character in the book that affects each soldier in their own way. I decided that since it was a movie poster you cannot give away his story in the poster. Therefore I decided to draw little details to show how Kiowa is. Tim O’Brien emphasizes this in his short story, “The Things They Carried” as he takes on the narrative role explaining what he observed of the soldiers he once fought alongside. Chronicling both the intensities and tragedies of war he tells the stories of fellow soldiers and reveals truths of war at the same time.
