How many of you like tiramisu?
How many of you have ever made tiramisu themselves?
It is very easy to make tiramisu; it just takes 15-20 minutes. You can also save a lot of money when you make it yourself. Tiramisu usually costs between $ 5-10 in restaurants and you just get a little piece. With this recipe you get about 10 pieces and the cost per piece is about $1.50.

Ingredients:
1 (8 ounce) container mascarpone cheese
32 French-style ladyfinger cookies
2/3 cup powdered sugar
¾ (three quarter) cup whipping cream
2 cups dark warm brewed coffee
Unsweetened cocoa powder, for sifting

Directions:
1.) Brew the coffee, and then pour it into a bowl to cool down. Those of you who like the aroma of rum can add 2 tablespoons of dark rum.
2.) Put the cream and sugar into a bowl and beat them with an electric mixer until soft peaks form.
3.) Add the mascarpone cheese into the sugar-cream and mix it carefully.
4.) Take the cookies and dip them in the coffee for 2-3 seconds. Don’t dip them too long otherwise they will fall apart.
5.) Arrange them side by side over the bottom of a loaf or glass pan.
6.) Pour part of the sweet cream over the cookies so they are fully covered with cream.
7.) Arrange another two layers of cookies and cream in the pan.
8.) When you are done with the layering, cover the pan with a plastic wrap and refrigerate it. You should at least leave it in the fridge for two hours for it to set. The best to do is leave it there overnight so it can develop the full flavor.
9.) Before you serve it you remove the plastic wrap and sift cocoa powder over it.

...One thing is for certain: I love Tasti D-Lite’s tiramisu “frozen dessert. Nothing beats the feeling you get when you walk into a “Tasti D,” impulsively looking to the back to discover the two flavors of the day, and one of them just perfectly fits your mood. Every day, Tasti D offers four frozen dessert flavors. There is always Dutch Chocolate and French Vanilla, either of which is suitable as a last resort. The real points, however, are won by the other two flavors, which are chosen each day from a list of over 100 innovative flavors plastered on the wall. This lottery feature makes eating frozen dessert not only delicious, but surprising and nerve-racking! Tasti D frozen dessert is essentially frozen yogurt, but, for legal reasons presumably, cannot be referred to as such. The special formula reduces the caloric and fat content of the frozen dessert to a fraction of your everyday frozen yogurt, making eating at Tasti D not only delicious, surprising, and nerve-racking, but also healthy! And best of all, as its website proudly proclaims, it’s kosher, as well! Tasti D was started in New York about a decade ago and received instant notoriety (it’s “New York’s favorite dessert!”), and some of the original, more popular stores publish the all-important flavor schedule on a website. To me, though, that’s akin to telling sending a five year old an e-mail on Christmas Eve listing the presents he’s going to receive the next morning. I like to imagine that until the moment I step...

...Espresso and Pepperonis, which is the better restaurant for eating Italian food? Nowadays, there are more and more foreigners who go to Vietnam for working, travelling so there are more restaurants that cook the other countries’ food day by day. They are French, American, Chinese, Japanese … restaurants. Vietnamese have more changes for eating more strange and unique foods that we have ever eaten. And I really enjoy in the Italian food. In Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam, there are two biggest Italian restaurants that have people usually talk about when they want to have the best Italian food. They are Espresso with friendly and hospitable service and Pepperonis with the appetizing and blazing hot entrees of Pepperonis; they are really the Italian heritage. Before deciding which restaurant leaves a better impression in my mind, a comparison and contrast between location, taste, service and cost must be considered. For me, choosing which restaurant to recommend to family members or friends is as hard as choosing clothes for the first dating. Someone said that having a best meal is not only eating and drinking but also enjoying food in a special space. Pepperonis locates at a beautiful place, it’s near the Saigon River, the most beautiful river in the city. From there, you can enjoy the fresh air, the romantic scene without the noisy of this busy city. It’s a good place for the lovers or a family that wants to relax after a hard day. Opposite to Pepperonis, Espresso locates in the...

...Made in Japan, Made in Mexico”. Very rarely will I pick up a piece of packaging and notice the word Canada. These days, so many of the products we use daily are made overseas. Unfortunately thriving nations such as Canada and the United States take advantage of developing countries. Looking at China specifically, they are abundant in natural resources and they have a high population. This allows them to produce high-tech products at low-budget prices. I feel I take these things for granted. I use these things every day and not once have stopped to think of where they come from. To continue, one of my favourite things to do is cook. I’ve been in the kitchen with my mother as long as I can remember. We make lasagna, carbonara, arancini, tiramisu, cannoli – the list goes on and on. Clearly, a common trend in our kitchen is Italian food. Not only is it delicious, but it is one more way I see myself connected to...

...in China. Black and pink are my favorite colors, while hers is blue. Television is something she no longer watches, but I still do. Even back when she did, Once Upon A Time was her favorite. I, personally, never watched it. I would consider Arrow or Parks and Recreation, as one of my favorite shows. She enjoys playing volleyball; on the other hand, I don’t play or watch any sports. I regard myself as a very open-minded person. Antonella said if she were to change something about herself, it would actually be to be more open-minded. She informed me of her habit of biting her nails. That’s a habit I possessed as a child and refuse to ever go back to. After considering it, Antonella reckons The Notebook is her favorite movie and tiramisu soup as her favorite dessert. I’ve never even watched the movie or tried the dish before. When you consciously find the similarities and differences between another person and yourself, you realize how unique every person is. Each person is their own entity. When you meet new people, it really hits you how diverse people’s lives and personalities are, from your own. It’s quite enlightening to see the contrast and resemblance in other...
