Write a 350- to 700-word response to the following: Explain the communication process of neurons in the brain. List some common neurotransmitters and describe their effect on behavior.

The communication process of neurons in the brain
A brain of an average human contains approximately 100 billion nerve cells or best known as neurons. Neurons perform as information transmitters and receivers to other neurons or to muscles in the body. Neurons have these tiny fibers that extend from the body of the cell and its main function is to receive incoming messages and transmit them to the main cell. Outgoing messages to other neurons and muscles or glands are carried out by a single long fiber called the axon. Axons are covered with a white fatty tissue called myelin sheath. The myelin sheath provides insulation to avoid signals from other neurons to interfere with each other and it also increases speed when signals are been transmitted. Motor neurons carry messages from the spinal cord or the brain to the muscles and glands. Al l neurons in the nervous system only speak one language ON or OFF electrochemical impulses. The communication process of neurons in the work by impulses or what it’s also called firing. When a neuron receives a message from other neurons it automatically excites the neuron or tells the neuron to fire. This term is also known as electrochemical impulse or discharge. After the neuron has fired, it returns to a resting state and remains ready to fire again. During resting state more positive charge ions remain on the outside of the neuron and negative charged ions remain on the inside. During the action or excitement phase, Ion exchange process begins by positively charge Ions are mixed with negatively…...

...Discussion #1:  Is the credibility of an author affected by the accuracy and completeness of the reference list for a given article? "Reference list at the end of a journal article provides the information necessary to identify and retrieve each source" (APA, 2010). And this information needs to be accurate, complete and consistent to provide a clear picture to the reader referring you work, so that he/she can refer the list without confusion. If the author fails to do so then his/her credibility will affect badly. "Another most common use of reference citations is to give credit to the original author of work you use" ("Political science department," 2006). This will help the writer to keep his/her work fair and avoid plagiarism. Discussion #2:  What process have you employed or expect to employ to ensure your reference list is accurate and complete?  I have been using the college library database to use only peer reviewed journals and articles to support my work. After retrieving the required journals I am filtering them to make sure that the work I am referring to is helpful to support my topic or not. ...Topic 1: What career would you like to choose after leaving school Model answer: Today, it is not easy to choose a career. Hundreds of students pass various examinations every year and compete with one another for positions in the various professions which are not so many as there are applicants. I would, however, like to choose teaching as my career. Teaching is an interesting career for several reasons. As a teacher I can learn many things, especially if I teach to an udder-secondary school. If I teach History or English, for example, I have to read many books to make my teaching lessons more interesting to my pupils. Thus, I can acquire more knowledge of the subjects that I teach than what I can learn from the class text books. It is indeed a fact that a teacher learns a lot from the class text books; but that is hardly enough to make the teacher's lessons interesting to pupils. A good teacher must therefore read many other books. Again, as a teacher, I have to speak well so that my pupils will be able to understand my instructions well. In this way I can improve my powers of expression. Even my pronunciation of words will improve to great extent. Further, as a teacher, I shall have enough leisure to read and prepare for various examinations. It is possible today to sit for many important examinations by studying entirely at home. Thus, I can acquire important qualifications. Finally, as a teacher I will be respected as an educated person. People will...
