Golf RFP has launched a beta version of its Request for Proposal (RFP) website designed to connect golf groups with golf courses through a simple bidding process. This is the golf industry’s first online solution that addresses the group business segment.

Golf RFP is a free service to any user, golf organizer or meeting planner that completes an online profile. Once the profile has been completed, the user may submit a Golf RFP for one or multiple days of golf, up to seven consecutive days. Users will then receive offers from golf courses interested in earning the group’s business. “We put the power of the sale in the hands of the golf course. It’s up to each individual course if they want to bid on the RFP and how aggressive they wish to get in hopes of winning the business,” said Gary Lorfano, Golf RFP founder.

The website is now accepting memberships from golf courses looking to join the Golf RFP network of courses. Each membership type requires an initiation fee. Fees range from $600 for a Member Club and $1,000 for a Premier Club, which includes special advertising benefits on the Golf RFP website.

“Today, a golf course relies significantly on group business and that is where Golf RFP will focus,” said Lorfano. A former Tournament Coordinator while at the Marriott Orlando World Center and current owner of Entertainment Solutions Group, a golf centric sports and entertainment company, Lorfano understands not only what the golf courses need, but how to best assist the golf coordinators tasked with creating, managing and implementing a golf event.

During the beta launch, users will be able to complete their online profile and receive a user name and password. Golf courses will be able to register for the network by completing their online profile and selecting their membership type. The entire website, with connection between users and golf courses, is...

Tourism is one of the top service industries in the world, there is millions of dollars being used to fund these beautiful destinations; equally as much money should be invested to keep the environment sustainable. It’s good ethical practice; the humanistic argument is without a clean environment, human health will be harmed. Without stock of renewable resources for future generations, the lives of those will be poorer quality than ours. (Grace, Cohen, & Holmes, 2014)William Blackstone has quoted saying “everyone has the right to a livable environment, then others have an obligation to allow free enjoyment of this right.” (Grace, Cohen, & Holmes, 2014). The three main groups of guests hotel chains face concerning this matter are: the ones that care about the planet and society, the ones that ask what is in it for me, and the ones who couldn’t be bothered. It is up to hotels which type of guests they wish to cater to, keeping in mind that they risk damaging their......

Position Paper

...POSITION PAPER ON THE AIRPORTS SECTOR IN INDIA May 2009 Department of Economic Affairs Ministry of Finance Government of India AIRPORTS SECTOR EXISTING SCENARIO 1. The civil aviation traffic has seen an unprecedented traffic in the past few years on account of booming Indian economy, growing tourism industry, entry of low cost carriers in the private sector, liberalization of international bi-lateral agreements and liberalization of civil aviation policy. In future also the civil aviation traffic is expected to grow at the same pace despite current slowdown due to global recession. But airport infrastructure has not kept pace with the growth of the civil aviation traffic. This has resulted in congestion and inefficient services in major airports, limited landing slots, inadequate parking bays and congestion during peak hours for airlines. Development of quality infrastructure will have an impact on international competitiveness and economic growth. This requires faster development of civil aviation infrastructure on public private partnership mode. In tune with the requirement many initiatives have already been started in the 10th five year plan and they are expected to continue in the 11th plan also. 2. Of a total number of 454 airports and airstrips in India, 16 are designated as international airports. The Airports Authority of India (AAI) owns and operates 97 airports. A recent report by Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation (CAPA) states that over the next 12......
