In the book Treasure Island, Jim Hawkins showed several qualities. First, Jim was smart. In the beginning of the story blind Pew almost broke Jim’s arm but didn’t because he followed instructions from Pew. Towards the end of the book he cut the Hispaniola's rope to set it loose so the pirates couldn’t get it. Truly Jim was brave. when Jim told John Silver off in the stockade. ON the Hispaniola Jim shot Israel Hands for moving to strike. Thank goodness for Jim he had a little bit of luck. When Israel Hands threw the sword at Jim he was lucky it didn’t hit him in the head, heart, or stomach but just a tear of skin on his shoulder. That John Silver had Jim’s back in the stockade.
