Per Reporter: Tranika and Jakori tested positive for THC. Jakori was born 5/13/18, 6lbs 1.6oz (full term) at Slidell Memorial Hospital. Tranika received prenatal care with Dr. Landry. Tranika stated, “I don’t really smoke. I smoked a month ago. My nerves were bad after my son (Tyreall) was shot in Atlanta.” Tranika mentioned that she has been diagnosed with Depression, but is not taking medication. Tranika didn’t have support at the hospital. Tranika didn’t appear to care a whole lot about Jakori. Jakori was taken to the NICU for respiratory issues not related to the drug abuse.
