Melanie, thank you, for sharing information about the current transition to Relationship-Based Care (RBC). While reading your post, I was very curious what type of care did your unit use before this transition? In 2014, I worked on a medical telemetry floor for a large hospital, and the RBC was the type of care that we incorporated when providing care to patients on the unit. I think this type of care is excellent and allows for the primary nurse to build a relationship with the patient and be more likely to determine changes in health conditions throughout the patients stay on the floor. Based off of your post, it sounds like Lewin’s Change Management Model is appropriate for this type of change and your unit’s current situation. To progress
