Transport 2 Power Generators and accessories to Venezuela

Class: Project Cost and Schedule Control

The purpose of this project is to transport 2 power generators and accessories to the Port of La Guaira Venezuela at low cost and as safely as possible. The project started after the power motors where assembled by Baldor Corporation in Illinois and sent them to Ocala Florida to assemble the soundproof cabins. We as project management need to find the transport companies to ship these Power Generators to La Guaira – Venezuela. After project management identified all the companies involved in this project they assigned the task to each team.
For the Cabin assembles we choose Cabins Expert Company located in Ocala Florida because they offered good quality and experience on the fabrication of the cabins. The transport company we selected was Florida Transportation Company. After several quotes we decided to select Florida Transportation Company because they offered the lower and safer shipping from Ocala to the port of Fort Lauderdale. Also they are able to provide the upload and download of the Generators from Low Boy (truck) to Low Boy (Truck) and vessel.
The customer requires that the Power Generators and accessories be in La Guaira no later than 45 days after the project started. We estimate that this project can be finished in a period of 28 days. Also we estimate the cost to this project will be $53,000 to transport the 2 Power Generators and accessories to La Guaira. The costs of this project include transport, fabrication of the crates and insurance.

Output from Bangladesh's accident-prone garment sector has increased in June, with demand from foreign retailers still growing despite the country's factory disaster in April. (AFP/File) DHAKA (AFP) –  Output from Bangladesh's accident-prone garment sector increased in June, data showed Tuesday, with demand from foreign retailers still growing despite the country's factory disaster in April. At least 1,129 people were killed when the Rana Plaza factory complex collapsed outside the capital Dhaka in April, sparking demonstrations against Western brands and prompting some retailers to threaten to cancel orders. Government data released on Tuesday showed that the country's total exports -- 80 percent of which come from the garment sector -- soared by 16 percent year-on-year in June to $2.7 billion, following an increase of 15 percent in May. "The disasters didn't have much impact. They are scattered incidents," head of the government's Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) Shuvhashish Bose told AFP, referring to the Rana Plaza tragedy and other factory fires that have killed another 130 workers since November. Total exports from Bangladesh, the second-biggest clothing manufacturer in the world after China, grew by 11 percent to a record $27.02 billion in the 2012-13 financial year to June. ...

The National Telecom Policy 1999 (NTP 1999) has served the sector in India for well over a decade, in which time we have witnessed significant changes in the socioeconomic environment, technological advancements and business dynamics. The telecom industry in India is ready to take the next leap forward with new developments such as launch of third generation (3G) services by private operators, 3G and broadband wireless access (BWA) auctions, launch of mobile number portability (MNP), and the emergence of mobile commerce (m-commerce). In the future, rural and semi-rural markets are expected to drive growth, especially in the wireless segment. The Ministry of Communications & Information Technology has released the 100-day agenda for the Indian telecom sector, and announced formulation of a new and comprehensive National Telecom Policy 2011 (NTP’11). Therefore, the time is ripe for a comprehensive review to build a forward looking and transparent policy that will be the backbone to achieve the ”India telecom vision 2020.” This report focuses on specific areas where the Government of India (GoI) needs to intervene and move the policy to the next generation...
