Troy Aikman Introduction
Dallas Cowboys. A National Football League team with a history that is so rich it’s almost not believable. Rewind time back to around 20 years ago, no team ever looked forward to playing against the dominating Dallas team, nearly undefeated, Emmitt Smith blowing through the defense with the help of Nate Newton and Daryl Johnston, Michael “The Playmaker” Irvin making passes that were nearly impossible, Charles Haley on defense putting fear into the quarterbacks and running backs of the teams going against him. An undefeatable army. Now, you’re probably thinking that with every great army is an even greater general. Which …show more content…
Charlyn and Kenneth Aikman gave birth to a boy who would go by the name Troy. A legend was born. Troy was raised in California until his dad got a deal on a farm house in Oklahoma, causing the small family of three to up-route and move. There Troy Aikman became a big baseball guy, played baseball and was actually really successful. He played as a short-stop for his middle school and was actually planning on going professional. His father was a big football man and one day asked his son if he planned on playing football his freshman year of high school. But with all the concussions and injuries, with the next 11 years of his career, Aikman made himself a football legend. Ending his career with 3 Super bowl rings, 6 Pro-Bowls, 165 played games, 4,715 attempted passes and 2,898 completed, 39,942 yards, 165 touchdowns, 141 interceptions, and a record breaking pass of over 90 yards. Finishing his career in the year of 2000. Personal Life
Troy Aikman now has 2 daughters, got married to Rhonda Worthey in 2000 but divorced her due to personal issues in 2011. A Ford truck as does every Cowboy player, a job doing NFL broadcasts for all the Dallas Cowboys games and occasionally other NFL teams, and a $4.3 million home in no other place then Dallas,
