...CALABAR HIGH SCHOOL CSEC INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (General Proficiency) School Based Assessment SPREADSHEET ------------------------------------------------- Description of Project It takes 90 seconds or less for a car thief to take your vehicle.  It is no longer enough to just roll-up your windows and lock your doors.  Although few stolen vehicles are recovered within 48 -72 hours, the damage has already been done.  The Spartahouse City Council in collaboration with the Spartahouse Police Department is encouraging residents to protect their vehicles. ...CHAPTER 1 What Is Financial Modelling? here are all sorts of complicated definitions of financial modelling, and in my experience there is quite a bit of confusion around what a financial model is exactly. A few years ago, we put together a Plum Solutions survey about the attitudes, trends, and uses of financial modelling, asked respondents “What do you think a financial model is?” Participants were asked to put down the first thing that came to mind, without any research or too much thinking about it. I found the responses interesting, amusing, and sometimes rather disturbing. Some answers were overly complicated and highly technical: n T n n n n “Representation of behaviour/real-world observations through mathematical approach designed to anticipate range of outcomes.” “A set of structured calculations, written in a spreadsheet, used to analyse the operational and financial characteristics of a business and/or its activities.” “Tool(s) used to set and manage a suite of variable assumptions in order to predict the financial outcomes of an opportunity.” “A construct that encodes business rules, assumptions, and calculations enabling information, analysis, and insight to be drawn out and supported by quantitative facts.” “A system of spreadsheets and formulas to achieve the level of record keeping and reporting required to be informed, up-to-date, and able to track finances accurately and plan for the future.” Some philosophical: n “A numerical...

...2011, 2012 and 2013. ‘Shoplifting’ is undoubtedly a psychological issue for most of the people. Shoplifting for most individuals is rarely about greed or poverty. It’s about people struggling with their own personal conflicts and needs. There are approximately 27 million shoplifters (or 1 in 11 people) in the USA today. More than 10 million people have been caught shoplifting in the last five years. The pleasure produced from “getting away with it” yields a chemical reaction causing in what shoplifters describe as an incredible “rush” or “high” feeling. Many shoplifters have committed to the fact that this high is their “true reward,” rather than the stolen product itself. It is assumed in this project that all the shoplifting instances in different states of the USA have been performed by the front-end Retail Salesperson. This might not be 100% true as the members of the Retail Store management of a company may also get themselves involved in such heinous crime, but this possibility has been disregarded. Data from the three aforementioned sources were compiled according to the respective states, years and concrete data-sets were formulated. MS Excel’s TreePlan was then used to create Decision tree models in order to determine whether the Retail...

CRM has long been the buzzword for airlines aspiring to 'one-to-one' relationships with all customers, all of the time. Its underlying principles are well established too - those airlines that can effectively attract, serve and retain the best customers will see significant positive effects on their bottom line profitability. The deeper the relationship the airline holds with these customers, the more opportunities there will be for selling additional products and services. However, with the emergence of e-business and the 'new economy', the challenges of building strong customer relationships have become even greater. 2.Introduction The jet age and the resulting euphoria in the market have given the ultimate weapon in the hands of the marketers. They now possess many options with them to persuade the customers to buy their products and services. But also because all of these advance, the...

...Student self-study worksheet 06/01/2015 Lecturer….Mr Whitson Unit 609 Prepare and cook food by baking, roasting and grilling You are to research the following questions that relate to this unit: Q What does the word accompaniment mean? A. Something that you eat or drink with something else: A dry champagne makes the ideal accompaniment for/to this dish. List as many roasting methods as you can find A low-temperature oven, 95°C to 160°C (200°F to 325°F), is best when cooking with large cuts of meat, turkey and whole chickens. This is not technically roasting temperature, but it is called slow-roasting. The benefit of slow-roasting an item is less moisture loss and a more tender product. More of the collagen that makes meat tough is dissolved in slow cooking. At true roasting temperatures, 200°C (400°F) or more, the water inside the muscle is lost at a high rate Cooking at high temperatures is beneficial if the cut is tender enough—as in filet mignon or strip loin—to be finished cooking before the juices escape. A reason for high temperature roasting is to brown the outside of the food, similar to browning food in a pan before pot roasting or stewing it. Fast cooking gives more variety of flavour, because the outside is brown while the centre is much less done. The combination method uses high heat just at either the beginning or the end of the cooking process, with most of the cooking at a low temperature. This method produces the golden-brown texture...
