African American fraternities play a significant role informing lives of many African Americans to become apart of the society. Me joining an African American fraternities is a big factor to me. it’s a big factor because, I will be one of the first people in my family to become apart of a fraternity. Where I am from there are no fraternities and sororities. People don’t understand the values and existence of African American fraternities. By me joining one, I’m showing others the values and existence of these great organizations. I’d also give back to the communities and excel in life.
Reflection plays a big role in me joining a fraternity. Reflection is the change in direction, so by me making a great decision like this, whatever I do in the future can reelect on others and inspire them to choose a great path in joining one of the great organizations like I will. Me joining a fraternity says a lot, it says I’m willing to change, willing to expand and build my networking skills. By me becoming a member of a fraternity I will learn to work efficiently with others and learn how to confront inappropriate behavior. Joining a fraternity shows that I want to be involved in my community and do something positive. It would also teach me to be aware and celebrate diversity. The reason why I think I am a great asset to a fraternity is because, I’m a leader to my peers, I’m great at working with others, respectful, friendly, full of ideas and full of life.
What is reflection? Reflection is a skill for life. it’s a form of mental processing. it’s a form of thinking that we use to fulfill a purpose or to achieve some anticipated outcome. Reflection is a thought process and technique for evaluating your own performance. It involves looking at your own learning or developmental needs and then changing or modifying your performance or practice on the basis of learning. Reflection is a powerful tool used for bringing about positive change. In order for us to do this we need to slow down, notice, examine, analyze and enquire.
By me joining a fraternity I will learn how to become part of a brotherhood like no other, build positive bonds and have a passion for something worthwhile.

...ARTS OF MYANMAR BRIEF HISTORY: The name of the country of Burma (or Myanmar, as it is now officially known) is associated with the dominant ethnic group, the Burmese. Because of the current regime's lack of legitimacy and poor human rights record, it is common practice outside the country not to use the name Myanmar. The country fell under British colonial rule during the 19th century. In 1972, the name of the country was changed to the Socialist Republic of the Union of Burma and in 1988, the military government changed the name to the Union of Myanmar. DEMOGRAPHY: The official population figure in 1995 was 44.74 million, but it may range from 41.7 million to 47 million. RELIGION: Almost 90 percent of the people are Buddhists, and the proportion is higher among the Burmese majority. Buddhism is believed to have been introduced to Burma by missionaries sent by the Indian emperor Ashoka in the third century B.C.E. TRADITIONAL ARTS: Myanmar is a country full of ancient traditions and culture. From time to time, the Myanmars have adapted different cultures and arts.
