A culture was developed when Homo -sapiens and Neanderthals, were the first earliest humans to live on earth. They were known to be carpenters and camping scouts to their families. They were excellent toolmaker, cooking with firewood, and wore animal skin for protection of weather conditions that they have faced. The forces that help develop early civilaization are communication and writing. The human culture developed over 30,000 years ago. Which most information about the civilization may be incorrect or not even true. .The Cave of Lascaux. (n.d.).
The Neolithic Age had started around 10,000 BC, were new families became more to the survival of agriculture and hunting crews from different civilization. I guess it would have started in elementary school – you were taught at a young age how to view it and appreciate it. -Did you have self-awareness as experienced by the quote above by Ansel Adams? I believe that quote can pertain to your everyday life not just in the appreciation of art. I think if people applied the principles of this thought to everyday life their lives would be more fulfilling. -Was there a teacher that impressed on you key art concepts? Honestly no, I didn’t do very well in art in school and I think that was due to the fact I really wasn’t mature enough to appreciate it. -Did you visit a museum as a field trip? ...ECON224- Unit 1 DB Cheri Bolin July 19, 2011 Proponents of free market systems argue that free enterprise leads to more efficient production and better response to changing consumer preferences. Others point to the fact that markets are not perfect. Before beginning my classes, I really hadn’t thought about the economy other than the hardships it has brought my family and I over the past several years. After completing Microeconomics I had a bigger picture of the “small” part of our economic system. The inner workings of our economy and its effects on our country as a whole, somewhat fascinated me. I really do not know much about free markets or free enterprise but what I do know, I do have an opinion on. I agree yes- free markets are not perfect but with that said, I believe that is why they work so well. Now, there are some good and bad qualities of a free market and enterprise, just like everything else in this country. In my opinion, other markets and enterprises, such as protected or forced markets are incorrect. When individuals put decisions, basically our well-being, in the hands of our government and politicians, they are asking to be told what, when and how to live their lives. Now don’t get me wrong, I do believe that there are some great laws, we have in place but most of them are downright ignorant. If we had the choice as individuals whether we would prefer a free market and enterprise, I am sure that 75% of the U.S. would be all for it. The ability to...

Unit 1 Db Terminology

...The importance of knowing the terms that are associated with the different body systems are essential due to the fact that they all work together and affect each other. A patient can have an ailment that pertains to a specific system and be caused by another system. A person in the medical field must have knowledge of the causes and effects of each system and the terms to know what is causing what. The different body systems all work together and rely on each other. For example the Circulatory system is the part of the body that carries food, oxygen, and water to the body cells and removes wastes (Marshall, 2004). This system consists of the heart, blood, arteries, veins, capillaries, spleen, lymph nodes, and lymph vessels. (Marshall, 2004). All of these are an example of how they work together to provide the essential needs to survive. Another example is the Respiratory system is what gives the body air to supply oxygen to cells through the blood and eliminates carbon dioxide (Marshall, 2004). This system consists of the nose, pharynx, larynx, trachea, bronchi, and lungs (Marshall, 2004). Again this goes to show how they work together to provide the essential need to survive. Remembering any medical terms can be difficult, but there are ways for people to memorize medical terms and it can make it a bit easier. There are many different answers to this everyone has a different way of learning and retaining information. Some may learn from writing it down while others learn...

...Introduction to Operating Systems and Client/Server Environments IT140-1601A-01 Unit 1 – Discussion Board 2 January 6, 2016 Operating Systems Operating Systems (OS) are the key to managing your computer’s software, hardware, processes and memory (GCF Global, 1998-2016). Without it your computer wouldn’t be able to run various programs that need access to volatile information. As technology advances, we need various OSs that can handle the newer computers. Microsoft Windows, Apple Mac OS X and Linux are OSs used on personal computers today and now use a GUI (graphical user interface) where everything can be managed using a click of the mouse (GCF Global, 1998-2016). Back in the old days computers used a CLI (command-line interface) where the user had to physically type in commands using the keyboard in order to pull up information. Icons and Images weren’t developed for use until later on so all you would see on the screen is text with CLI OSs. There are multiple versions of OS because every information systems and processor architecture requires various specifications (Byron, 2009). Most people are familiar with Windows which was created in the mid-1980s by Microsoft (MS). We have all had different versions including (but not limited to) Windows 98, 2000, XP, 7, 8 and Vista. There are also three editions you can choose from; Home Premium, Professional and Ultimate though you are going to pay more for certain packages (GCF Global, 1998-2016)...

Most of them in this study chose to do the face-to-face interview. The face-to-face is also known as FTF. The face-to-face interview method was done on the Population Surveys of Children’s Health and Wellbeing: Parental Views on Data Collection Content and Methods. (Waters, E., Davis, E (Nee Maher) & Mehmet-Radji, O., 2005-206). The face-to-face interview method could be done one on one or in a group setting. This study had been done on a group from Australian families with the children ranging from zero to twelve years of age. The face-to-face interview method is on their health status in which it has four subgroups for it, one is the health and wellbeing, the second one is the growth and development, third one is the mortality, the fourth one is morbidity and disability, as well as the fifth one is the safety and security. However, other professionals, such as doctors, do other studies and then there are also other kinds of face-to-face interview methods as well depending on what they are looking for in the child. There are several pros and cons for a face-to-face interview method. The cons would be that you would have a variety of communication (technology) (Editorial Board 2012). Then you would...

...Windows 7 comes with a utility called the disk management utility which will allow you to create, resize, and delete hard disk partitions on the fly without having to boot into a special disk utility. The Disk Management utility can only manage file systems compatible with Windows operating systems, such as FAT16/FAT32 and NTFS. Let’s say you want to make a partition smaller so you can create another partition on a hard drive this utility will allow you to do so. ScanDisk- A DOS utility included only in Windows 95/98/ME it is used to scan the suface ofthe hard disk and repair errors on the hard drive scan disk scans for lost clusters on the hard drive and turns them into .chk files. Chkdisk -is a command line program that also scans the hard drive and looks for lost clusters on the hard disk. It reports the current amount of free memory and disk space. If you use the chkdsk /f command which is Chkdsk with the /f = fix command it reclaims the lost clusters and turns them into .CHK files. FDisk- Is a program that runs in MS-DOS and non-NT versions of Windows and creates partitions on the hard drive Windows 95b first added support for FAT-32 partitions into fdisk. Before that it only supported partitions up to 2 GB using FAT-16. Disk Manager- A driver first introduced in 1985 from Ontrack Data Recovery, a Kroll Ontrack subsidiary, Eden Prairie, MN (www.ontrack.com) that allowed older DOS PCs with a 32MB disk limit to access larger drives. The below table demonstrates the wide variation in Intensity for typical sounds in air. We will start by defining a new quantity, L, the intensity level, which has units of dB. I L ≡ 10 log I0 where: is the time average intensity of the sound wave. I0 is the reference level used for comparison purposes. 3-1 Source Intensity (W/m2) Intensity Level (dB) Jet Plane 100 140 Pain Threshold 1 120 Siren 1x10-2 100 Busy Traffic 1x10-5 70 Conversation 3x10-6 65 Whisper 1x10-10 20 Rustle of leaves 1x10-11 10 Hearing Threshold 1x10-12 1 The reference intensity in air is typically 1 x 10-12 W/m2. These voltage signals, which are functions of time, are referred to as sound pressure signals. It is necessary to have knowledge of the frequency composition of these signals. Fourier Series and the Fourier Transform can be used to mathematically relate functions in the time and frequency domains. The use of these relationships in the practical frequency analysis of signals will not be discussed in detail in this course. A less mathematical and more physical description of elementary frequency analysis is given in this section. The purpose of an elementary frequency analysis is to determine how the “strengths” of the components of the sound pressure are distributed as a function of frequency. Consider first...

Acct311 Unit 4 Discussion Board

...The Discussion Board (DB) is part of the core of online learning. Classroom discussion in an online environment requires the active participation of students and the instructor to create robust interaction and dialogue. Every student is expected to create an original response to the open-ended DB question as well as engage in dialogue by responding to posts created by others throughout the week. At the end of each unit, DB participation will be assessed based on both level of engagement and the quality of the contribution to the discussion. At a minimum, each student will be expected to post an original and thoughtful response to the DB question and contribute to the weekly dialogue by responding to at least two other posts from students. The first contribution must be posted before midnight (Central Time) on Wednesday of each week. Two additional responses are required after Wednesday of each week. Students are highly encouraged to engage on the Discussion Board early and often, as that is the primary way the university tracks class attendance and participation. The purpose of the Discussion Board is to allow students to learn through sharing ideas and experiences as they relate to course content and the DB question. Because it is not possible to engage in two-way dialogue after a conversation has ended, no posts to the DB will be accepted after the end of each unit. Consider the following scenario: Lucy Shafer wants to borrow $100,000 to expand her dog-breeding...
