Describe the main employability, personal and communication skills required when applying for a specific job role
For the role of a magistrate firstly you need to be willing up some of your spare time and not everyone can serve as a magistrate.
Employability skills for a magistrate
While your education and experience may make you eligible to apply for a job, to be successful in the role of a magistrate you will need to have a mix of skills. This means that the specialist, technical skills associated with becoming a magistrate it may be more important to have the right set of skills than to have just basic skills that can be transferred between different jobs and different employment sectors. For employing the right person to be a magistrate getting the right people means identifying people with the right skills and qualities to fulfil the role and contribute to the organisation's success. Candidates may have the qualifications and 'hard skills' needed to be able to manage the job role but, without a well-honed set of basic skills, employers are less inclined to hire.

Reading comprehension
Magistrates need to have an understanding of written sentences and paragraphs in document that is work related. If they cannot do this is more than likely people applying will not be accepted for the job role. Reading comprehensions is key as it part of the job and it will be needed every day being a magistrate.
Active listening
A magistrate must give their full attention to what other people are saying. A magistrate must take time to understand the points that are present and relevant. Magistrates need to ask questions and must not interrupt at inappropriate times. Listening is key in every job because dealing with people is needed in most jobs so being an active listener is something that every employee must be able to do.
