First of all, I will show the transcript I took part in between me and a member of the public (Customers) at McDonald’s Barnsley’s store on Old Mill Lane. I aimed to ask primarily around the 4P’s (Product, Price, Place & Promotion) and their overall opinion on the organisation along with improvements they could think of for them. During my first inetview, It was a woman, around middle aged and currently inside McDonald’s at the time, therefore the information I was receiving was legit and was useful to use. ...BTEC LEVEL 3 APPLIED SCIENCE GROUP A, MAH NOOR, 40033495 Standard Solution: * There may have been a random error whilst the titration, it has a random effect on the results, some are higher than the average value while others are lower. One of the main sources of random error is in the equipment we use in making measurements. Random errors of this type are always present and cannot be eliminated, they are a result of limitation inherent in the equipment we use and are out of our control. Some random errors can be eliminated or at least reduced. For example, we were weighing a sample of a chemical (Sodium Carbonate) near an open window. The draughts of air from the window would move the balance pan up and down, thereby decreasing or increasing the mass measurement in a random fashion. By closing the window or by surrounding the pan with a draught excluder, this random error could be eliminated. * There may have been an error whilst making standard solution, the error indentified was not mixing the standard solution properly and also not ensuring that all of the solute was transferred, because 1.5g of sodium carbonate was added to the volumetric flask and then a little bit of water was added and then we swirled the volumetric flask to dissolve the solute in the water and then added distilled water up to the line and left it, to further ensure the solute was mixed into the water and all of it was transferred properly we could have added the solute into a beaker first...

Strategic decisions are the decisions that are concerned with whole environment in which the firm operates the entire resources and the people who form the company and the interface between the two. Having correct information before you make a decision that affects the whole company is vital for the company in the economic environment we are currently in at the moment. ...In this assignment im going to evaluate the approraiteness of two sets of business information used by BBC to make strategic decisions, and how it helps the bbc to make strategic decisions about how to improve their operations. Annual Report 2013/14 In the BBC website they have a page of informations about the income and operation cost of both of the years of 2013/14. This is suitable for people in the the company and outside the company. The advantages of using this information is that It helps the people in the company because it shows how they lost and gained their money during the years in the company and they will know how the improve the year after. Also it has an easy access because is open to everyone 24/7. Another advantage it could be that the budgets reveal how much room the company has to spend on introduction of products, developing marketing campaigns or expanding the company. On the other hand one disadvantage of using financial statements for decision making is that the data and figures are based on the market at that given time which it was 2013/14. Depending on the market, it could change quickly, so managers should not assume that the numbers from a previous financial statement will stay the same, increase or decrease. So for example if BBC made £5,066 of total income in 2014 it does not mean it would be the same or it would increase. Another disadvantage is that it doesn’t show the previous income and operating cost, so you won’t know if the improved the...

Unit 4 Health and Social Care M1 and D1

...Discuss the nature-nurture debate in relation to the development of the individual (M1) & Evaluate how nature and nurture may affect the physical, intellectual, emotional and social development of two stages of the development of the individual (D1). Nature can be loosely defined as genetic inheritance or the genetic makeup (the information encoded in your genes) which a person inherits from both parents at the time of conception and carries throughout life. Several things in an individual genetically inherits include; ranging from gender, eye colour, risks for certain diseases and exceptional talents to height. The concept of nature thus refers to biologically inherited tendencies and abilities that people have and which may get revealed later on as they grow up. Nurture can be defined as the different environmental factors to which a person is subjected from birth to death. There are many environmental factors. They include both physical environments and social environments. Some theorists believe that people behave as they do according to genetic predispositions or even because of ‘animal instincts.’ This is known as the ‘nature’ theory of human behaviour. Other theorists believe that people think and behave in certain ways because they are taught to do so. This is known as the ‘nurture’ theory of human behaviour. (www.yourenglishlessons.wordpress.com) Nature refers to the inherited (genetic) characteristics and tendencies that influence development. Some inherited...

...D1- Evaluate the appropriateness of information used to make important strategic decisions. The Coca Cola Company is an American beverage corporation, manufacturer, retailer and marketer of non-alcoholic beverage concentrates and syrups, which is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. One department at Coca Cola is the financial department. The financial department uses on screen communication, this allows them to create data on the company’s financial assets. They use on screen communication to present databases, charts and a budgeting table for the company. A strategic decision that this department has made is to buy the remaining shares in Innocent drinks company. “The London company’s sales have grown 89% a year from £16.7m in 2004 to £113.2m in 2007.”(Sunday Time Fast Track, 2008)  The purpose of this strategic decision is to find a new market because Coca-Cola, the world’s biggest beverage company currently did not sell juice/smoothies in Europe. On the one hand Coca Cola based its decision to acquire Innocent Drinks on the growth figures reported. The information that Coca Cola use is appropriate and effective because, it allows Coca Cola to spot a gap in the market. They have seen the company become Europe’s most popular smoothies/juices company (Innocent is Europe’s top smoothie player, 2010). The successful relationship between Coca Cola and Innocent Drinks will support even more innovation and international expansion. However, they potentially should not of purchased...

Unit 4 Development Through the Life Stages D1

...For this part of the assignment I am going to be evaluating how nature and nurture may affect the development of an individual over two life stages. I will be looking at the effects of nature, nurture in relation to the Jim twins, development over their childhood and adulthood. D1 Nature and Nurture Effects on Childhood Physical Development The Jim twins were identical twins and nature obviously had a big effect on how they looked, both the boys inherited genetics from their parents which determined what they were going too looked like, during their childhood the boys would have looked identical, but they just didn’t know each other. But one twin in his childhood had a fringe and the other didn’t, these different hair styles would have been the effect of nurture as he would have been influenced to have his hair that way by seeing others with the same hairstyle or his adoptive parents wanting him to have his hair like that. Nature would have had an effect on the twin’s physical development as the genes they gathered from their biological parents would have determined that during their childhood, they disliked basketball and other sports, this could have been because, both their parents may not of been very sporty, which could of led them to inherit gene which meant they were going to be very athletic/sporty either. On the...

Development Through the Life Stages Unit 4 P1 M1 D1 Health and Social Care Level 3

...Development through the life stages. UNIT 4 P1 M1 D1 Development through the life stages. UNIT 4 P1 M1 D1 * Introduction In this essay I will be explaining the development throughout the life stages. This is including conception, pregnancy (1st, 2nd and 3rd trimesters), birth and infancy (0-3years), childhood (4-9years), adolescence (10-18years), adulthood (19-65years), older adulthood (65+) and the final stages of life. This will include physical, intellectual, emotional and social development. I will further this by discussing nature versus nurture, and conclude by evaluating how this will affect the physical, intellectual, emotional and social development. * Conception Each month a group of eggs in the ovaries grow in small sacks named follicles. Eventually one of these eggs leaves, this is ovulation. This typically takes places 2 weeks before the next period is due. Once the egg leaves the follicle it develops into the corpus luteum, releasing a hormone to thicken the uterus lining, preparing for the egg. Once released the egg travels to the fallopian tube, where it remains for 24hrs waiting for sperm to fertilize it. This takes around 2 weeks after the period. If there is no sperm to fertilize the egg, it travels through the uterus and falls apart. The hormone levels return to normal, and the uterus sheds the lining, starting the period. If a sperm does make its way into the egg, it fertilizes, no other sperm will be able to access the egg. As soon as fertilization...
