Vacation
During holidays, people want to go for vacations but they simply do not know how to plan for them. This paper will give an example of how to plan for a vocational trip. It is a trip to Spain. It will include the places to visit and the place to be staying during the vacation.
Day of arrival
Flying with British Airways from New York to Barcelona Spain for the holiday will cost approximately $ 866 using the economy class in order to save money that will be spend in exploring Spain. Spain is a big city with beautiful sceneries. On arrival to Barcelona, take a taxi at the airport to Alberta hotel for only $51. This is a three star hotel, which will not cost a lot for the eight days that you will spend there. This hotel charges $ 78 inclusive of breakfast (Jacobsen & Dann, 2009). On arrival to the hotel, you will receive nice breakfast from the hotel after which you can rest for a bit because of the long journey. In the afternoon, you can start exploring the city by visiting the beautiful beaches of Formentera. This is a nice place to relax bearing in mind that you are tired from the journey. At the beach as you relax, you can take launch from the Juan Y Andrea restaurant, which has been there for a very long time. Their meals are very delicious and pocket friendly. Making an order of seafood at this place is the best idea because you will get fresh seafood since the restaurant is near the beach. Spain people are good chefs and especially in preparing very spicy food (Rosenthal, 2008). You can decide to have some soup for your dinner in this same hotel for dinner. Walk to the station where you will take a bus back to the Alberta hotel. Using a bus is cheaper than taking a cab to the hotel. Since the bus carries many people, it will not charge less to a cab, which carries a maximum of four people. The cab will definitely charge higher amount.
Day 2
When you wake up you will receive Spanish omelet or potato omelet from the hotel, which is inclusive in the accommodation fee. You will then set for Pueblos Blancos- Andalucia. A bus takes you direct to Pueblos Blancos. This is a beautiful scenery of the white painted houses of people. The flats are so beautiful when you watch them from a distance. They look like small white dots in a large are. This is a great place to just stroll and see how different life is from yours. People who live in here are not that well of but they lead a decent life (Jacobsen & Dann, 2009). Taking pictures with people as they undertake their day-to-day life would be fun. This is also another great place to buy souvenirs. These souvenirs are hand-made with the people who live in Pueblos Blancos. Buying neckpieces or earrings for your mum or girlfriend that is hand-made could be very nice. This is the right place to do so.
There is a good hotel called the Benalmadena publo named after the place. You can take a nicely made Spanish lunch before heading to Alhambra. This is one of the most beautiful places in Spain, tourists travel all over the world just to come and see the place. It is not about the name but the location of it. The Alhambra is so quiet and calm especially if you are with your loved one. You can just walk around the place as you admire what Mother Nature has given you. The streams of water, the place is so green and the different sounds made by birds are what make the place so beautiful and most visited in Spain (Rosenthal, 2008). Take a train back to the hotel after the long day of adventure as you wait to explore Spain for the third day. You can take dinner in the hotel if you want.
Day 3
On the third day, you will receive with breakfast as usual in the hotel as you prepare to visit The Volcanic views of Mount Teide Tenerife. This is a good place to go hiking. It is very important to carry all you may need when going for hiking especially because it is a mountain. Carrying water and other beverages is a very important thing that most people forget. Always remember to carry that in your hiking bag before leaving. Mountain climbing is interesting but if you are scared, you can take pictures of those who are doing it. It is not safe to go to such places without a guide. This is because you could be hurt in the middle of the thick forest surrounding the mountain. There are dangerous animals that are there and can attack you. Having a tour guide is also a good idea because chances are that you will not be alone in the mountain trip and there you can get to see people climb the mountain and on the right paths. You can engage in some competition just between the people who are there. Having people around is very safe and enjoyable in the mountain than being alone ( Rosenthal, 2008). The Volcanic view, which is said to erupt after some years is a good experience. Getting to see the volcano is also very beautiful. Sometimes there is snow on top of the mountain and the snow smoke makes the whole place so beautiful to what from a distance taking videos. During lunch, you can have a snuck from Restaurante Bambi. A Spanish chicken burger will do your stomach justice. This will only cost you $ 10
You can leave the place before it gets so dark. The animals come out at night and even though you might have a touch, it is not safe to stay in the thick forest at night. A very long day it will be. Take a bus back to Alberta where you will take a hot shower after the long day would be a great idea as you wait to explore Spain for the fourth day.
Day 4
As usual, you will receive Spanish breakfast in the hotel, which consists of strong coffee with hot frothy milk, sweet rolls with jam and lastly toast with jam or mild cheese. This is what most Spanish people have for breakfast (Rosenthal, 2008). As you leave for Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. The Catholic Church is so high and beautiful from the outside so is the inside. The old way of conveying construction is clear in these buildings. This is how building construction were in the 18th century and before. This is usually the last stop the pilgrims who walk the way of St James trail. Many people visit this church especially during Easter and Christmas because they are the most celebrated holidays in the world by all Christians especially the Catholics.
There is a restaurant called the O Curro da Parra just near the church. If you are not interested in going inside the church, you can view it from a distance; take pictures as you eat in the restaurant. You can just take a drink as you take all these photos since it is very beautiful from the outside especially the entrance of the church. Waiting for the mass so as to get to admire the inside part of it would also be a good idea; not only will you get to celebrate mass with the rest of the Christians in Spain, but you will also get to admire the interior of the church (Jacobsen & Dann, 2009). The smothering of the building with Baroque swirls makes the building look so amazing to look at from the outside. Take a cab back to Alberta hotel, which will cost you $ 12 only.
Day 5
Before heading out to the Roman remains in Segovia you receive breakfast at the hotel Alberta after which you will board a train that goes straight to Segovia. This will cost you $9 dollars, which is cheaper as compared to taking a bus or a cab. The Roman remains in Segovia is a good place to seek information about history. This is the history of the Romans long time ago. This remains not only do they teach the young generation of their history but also they get to see the remains live. This proves that history is not just a story or a fictional story but a true story that happened in the past. Most of the people who were there in that time are either dead or too old to tell the story. These remains are good enough to go with what the new generation reads.
During lunchtime if hungry, you can take lunch from the restaurant California. Here you can eat a delicious Spanish pizza, which they put many spices to make it even more delicious at only $ 20. After lunch, you can visit the Gaudi’s masterpiece in Barcelona (Rosenthal, 2008). It is a piece of art that tells a lot. It is for you to decide what you can make of it. In art, you get to see what you want to see. The big towers and the beautiful buildings in Barcelona is what make people visit the Gaudi’s masterpiece as they visit the city in general. After visiting the two places, you take the train back to the hotel as you prepare to know much about Spain in day six.
Day 6
As usual, you will be given breakfast in the hotel. Today you will visit the Plaza de Espana in Seville. This is a very beautiful place to be and visit especially at night because of the lights and the brightness of the building. This surrounding of the building is by the tall towers that make the place amazing. Some producers are even shooting their movies from here. This is how amazing this place is. You can visit the City of arts and science in Valencia, which is also an amazing place to be. The building itself is an art and a science (Rosenthal, 2008). You can take a late lunch in the hotel Alberta when you get back to the hotel to prepare for the last day in Spain.
Day 7
This is the day of departure where you get to say goodbye to Spain. You will be given breakfast in the hotel as usual before clearing out of the hotel. You will then take a cab to the airport, which will cost you $39. You will fly back to London using the British Airways, which will cost you another $50 in the economy class.
In conclusion, Spain is the place to be during vacation. This is because of the very many beautiful sceneries and most of all the beaches, which will help you relax your mind away from work and all the stress.

Rental/Vacation Home Case

...Tax Case 3 Individual Paper 2/22/2014 Attn: Dr. Ott Executive Summary: In this case, my group members represented the side of the taxpayer. One of the main issues in this case is whether or not Rex and Agnes Harrell should be able to make deductions in excess of rental income on their beach house. This deduction depends on if the 14-day personal use provision was exceeded. If the 14-day provision was exceeded than income should be limited to rental income as the ISR decided in this case. However, we have determined that the Harrell’s have not violated the 14-day provision and should therefore be allowed deductions for rental expenses exceeding rental income. Facts: • The Harrell’s purchased a beach house to use occasionally for recreational purposes, but also to rent it out. • The house was in need of significant repairs so the couple decided to make the repairs themselves rather than hiring a contractor. Rex had taken advanced courses in woodwork at a local community college and he applied those skills in his maintenance work. • The log maintained by the Harrell’s showed that the couple occupied the house for 38 days and rented it out for 49 days. On 24 of the 38 days occupied, one or both of them were actively working on the beach house. • On the days they were working on the beach house they sometimes still had time for fun with their two teenage children. Some days they would only work 4 to 5 hours and be able to have fun while other days they would work...

Vacations

...Vacations Doris A. Davis Vacations Cruises appeal to many travelers because they are considered all-inclusive vacations. Pay one price and receive accommodations, meals, entertainment, and transportation between island and port destinations. But once onboard, many cruisers find themselves shelling out hundreds of additional dollars for shore excursions, alcoholic beverages, and gratuities. What happened to their supposedly all-inclusive vacation? Many land-based resorts also refer to themselves as all-inclusive, yet [the properties offer a different set of included amenities. As I look at the picture my mind can imagine exactly what my experience would be. So what does it really mean to be all-inclusive? I have compared the pictures of all-inclusive resort and cruises at sea I believe all-inclusive land resort vacations are the best. All-inclusive cruises and resorts tend to include different amenities in the base price. Book a mainstream cruise, and you'll receive accommodations, all meals and snacks, certain beverages at meal times, use of the ship's facilities (such as the pool, kids club, and fitness center), onboard activities and entertainment, and transportation between ports-of-call. You will have to pay extra for soft drinks and alcoholic beverages, tips for a waiter, spa treatments, shore excursions, airfare, and airport transfers. Luxury liners may include tips for the waiter and alcohol in their base price. On the other hand, book an all-inclusive resort package...

Vacation

...A Great Vacation Have you ever been on a cruiz or to another state with amazing view? Whether you've given it any thought or not, there are many qualities that makes a vacation a great one. A vacation can be divided into three groups such as: great scenery, good food, and great weather. For most people, the hardest part about a vacation is figuring out where to go. Majority of the process of finding the spot is the scenery. There are many islands that have amazing views, and also huge cities that have city views; it's entirely up to you and your preferences as to where to go. Niagra falls, for example, is an amazing place to visit. The scenery is breathttaking, everyone consider the visit at least once in their life time. The bahamas as well, is also a great place to visit when it comes to scenery. The water is a stunning deep blue that no other view can compare to. The weather is also mostly always warm and the sun is always shining. Nothing tops the great vacation list more than what you eat. Great food is a big part of a grerat vacation because you experience many different cultures that you may only have once in a life time to do. There are many different foods that we have around the world that aren't made where we live, no one can come close to making some things either. You may come across that one specific food you like that no other place has, you would want to bring it back with you but it won't last forever. You also wouldn't want to have bad food on your vacation...

Vacation

...Sample Essay – My Summer Vacation I had a fantastic summer vacation! My family and I spent a lot of time at the beach. We also went on a trip to Disney World. We ended our summer by traveling to southern California for a soccer tournament. It was nice to be able to spend so much time with my family this summer. In the beginning of the summer, I went to the beach with my kids at least once a week. We were so lucky because every time we were at the beach I saw the dolphins splashing playfully in the surf. We would usually arrive around 12:00, when the sand was as hot as coals in a barbecue. Sometimes we would stay until 7:00 in the evening. At the end of the day I loved to watch the flaming red ball creep slowly down into the shimmering ocean. Going to the beach is my favorite thing to do in the summer. Towards the middle of my summer vacation, my whole family and I flew to Florida to visit Disney World. We had never been before, and I could not believe how big and beautiful the Disney property was. It was like being in the center of a rainbow. Everywhere you looked, there was loads of color. The weather was hot and humid. We were soaked with sweat the entire time, but we were able to refresh ourselves in the beach-like pool. We stayed at a hotel called The Beach Club, and the pool there actually had sand at the bottom of it. It was fun to travel all the way to Florida. As my vacation was coming to an end, we made a trip to Huntington Beach for my daughter’s...

Vacation

...The shadow of the palm trees reflecting on the soft sand at the beach side, while the waves of the beach are hitting the ground, is what makes this place so special. Just to imagine sitting at the beach while the palm trees are creating a shadow on my skin, and at the same time their branches are waving back and forth to provide a clear and clean breeze, is so relaxing. Therefore, I chose this State for my favorite vacation place. This alone that the nickname of the State is Sunshine State (en.wikipedia.org) shows a lot because that is what it is all about, a place to recognize the sun and its amazing features warming up the world to the joy of its people, making the climate so pleasant and relaxing. In fact, throughout the winter season, the climate is never below 60 degree and frost has never been reported there (www.statesymbolsusa.org). Furthermore, whenever I was there the sun always shone brightly comforting me with his strong sun rays, making it a place to escape from the cold New York during the freezing winter days. While strolling down the long and endless boardwalk, I got so inspired by its breathtaking sceneries. Starting from the beautiful beach view continuing to the white sand covered shore on one side, and on the other side many sky-high luxurious hotels each one with its amazing spa areas including incredible outdoor saunas and heated pools. Even after sunset the area does not lose its nice view since the colorful eye-catching lights take over by giving...

...Tarsha Strong English 1101/Mrs.Staton Reflective Essay 29 June 2013 A Memorable Bahamas Vacation Its 10:15 am, we are getting ready to board the ship. I am relieved to be standing after sitting in an RV for 10 hours while riding from Georgia to Florida. My aunts, cousins, and my mom are smiling and hugging each other because they are happy to see my family that we have not seen in awhile. We wave goodbye to my uncles as they drive off. As I walk toward the ship I become anxious and excited. I’m holding my luggage and smiling at the attendant. I look at my mom and say, “I can’t believe we are headed to the Bahamas.” We are standing in a long line waiting to check in our entire luggage. The security officers are making sure we don’t have things that are not allowed. Now that we are finished, my mom and I head to our room. We take the elevator to the third floor where our room is located. I open the door to our room and I see two twin beds with cute little animals on them made with towels. My mom has an alligator and I have an elephant. I take a picture and smile because I think this is so cool. Now its time for me to shower, so I sit my luggage on the bed, take out a nice sun dress, and head for the shower. First we head to the top floor of the ship. Everyone must do a safety drill. The captain comes on over a loud speaker and welcomes everyone to the cruise. Then he begins the speech of all the safety rules. The staff members are demonstrating how to use the life...

Summer Vacation

...My Ideal Summer Vacation A warm and sunny afternoon last day, I was in a deep thought. I was thinking, if I would be given a chance to have a summer vacation without worrying about the expenses, maybe it could be my ideal one. This thought triggered me to ask myself, “What would be my ideal summer vacation looks like?” To start my visualization, I would like to spend it in a place afar from the noisy streets of the city. A place where the only sounds I can hear are the chirping of the birds, the waves crashing on the shore and the laughter of my family. In that place, the trees are dancing gracefully and flowers are waving gently with the wind. In the distance, the shore is filled with sand so white, crystal clear water and with porpoises on the sea side. On the top of the hill resides our home, a small bungalow type but filled with so much contentment and joy. Inside of it are simple things to suffice our needs. Upon entering the entrance door, you will see the clean and tidy living room, with a window on the right that offers a beautiful sight of the blue ocean. Beside our home, there stood a tall and old narra tree that gives us shade during the day. Flowers of different kinds and varieties grows around the yard abundantly. Then, I can see the endless sky above with shiny shimmering stars blinking at night and in the water, it seems the unreachable stars are within my grasp. In a distance, I can see the fire keeps burning from the bonfire we have made, and beside it,...

...was the summer of 2002, and my best friend Candace and I wanted to go on vacation. We thought long and hard about where we wanted to go, and finally decided to fly to Florida. Candace and I started our planning by searching for hotel rooms in the West Palm area, and getting tickets for our flight from the internet. We boarded a plane for Florida in Lexington, Kentucky. We had a layover in Detroit, Michigan, which I thought was very interesting. We were heading North to go South! I enjoyed flying, so I didn't mind. I sat in the window seat so I could watch the beautiful clouds go speeding by, as if they were flying saucers. I also enjoyed the many sites you could see on the ground, entire fields looked like little puzzles from way up in the airplane. Once we arrived in West Palm, we rented a car and started the great search for our hotel. It took us about an hour to find the hotel, which was only ten minutes from the airport. We saw some beautiful neighborhoods including the Kennedy Mansion. What a gorgeous, huge home. I can still picture it today. It was a three-story brick home with white post in the front, surrounded The hotel was right around the corner from the circle we had been driving around the whole time. We laughed so hard when we finally realized just how close we were to our destination. Upon checking into our hotel, we were served champagne. We began to wonder if if they thought we were famous. This was my first taste...

Virtual Vacation

...A vacation to New Zealand, even with similarities to the United States, requires a certain amount of preparation; it is not a three-hour trip to Disney, it is a 17-hour time difference that requires knowledge of: local customs, location, weather, current issues, and future expectations. New Zealand: Having never been to New Zealand, I find it very interesting that it was the last major landmass that humans discovered (Wilson). Though the time line is heavily debated, most scientists approximate that man settled some time 800 years ago. In comparison to North America, which is somewhere around 25,000 years, New Zealand is still young (Warner pg. 47). Important Considerations Location, Climate, and Topography: • Southeast of Australia, New Zealand is similar in size to Colorado; its southern location from the Equator means opposite seasons from Europe and North America. • New Zealand’s climate is classified as Cbf (Fig. 2). • Most of the North Island lies on the Australia Plate, where as the South Island is on the Pacific Plate (Fig. 1). This, combined with active volcanoes, creates a hotbed for seismic and volcanic activity (CIA). • One quarter of the earthquakes have been below a 2.0 magnitude, but within the last year alone, New Zealand has seen 17,246 earthquakes with a majority ranging from 0-5 magnitudes (Geonet). Family Vacation

...my family and I have saved for a vacation. We have a good sum in our vacation fund and after the past three years of working hard, we deserve some time to relax and enjoy each other. We all have two weeks off in September and are starting to look at where we want to go. Each of us has a place in mind, but no one is committed to any one place. Mainly we want to go somewhere that offers lots of activities to keep us busy, a place we can relax, and somewhere that will add to our family memories. I have researched several popular vacation locations and finally found Bora Bora, one of the islands in the French Polynesian chain, near Tahiti. Bora Bora has all the ingredients for a wonderful family vacation that we will remember the rest of our lives. Bora Bora is known as a popular exotic destination and will be a great location for our vacation. The main requirement for the place I want our family to go for our vacation is that it has a variety of activities so that we can all fill our time with fun. Of course, vacations are supposed to be relaxing, so wherever we go it should be a place that soothes the soul. Bora Bora has all the requirements but is not within our vacation budget, so I did further review on this travel destination in order to show my family this is a once in a lifetime vacation. To meet all of our vacation requirements, I knew the place would have to be tropical. I researched many places including Hawaii and Mexico. Vacations to either one of those places would...
