I believe in warm sheets. I know this might sound stupid or silly, but no. I just like the feeling of warm sheets. I believe in the feeling you get when you’re ready to go to sleep, and your bed is warmer than ever.

It’s a new feeling. A feeling you haven't felt in a long time. No matter how hard you try, you can’t replicate the feeling of warm sheets. It’s a feeling of being clean. It makes you feel proud of yourself. Like you’ve done something right. Anyone can feel this warmth; boys, girls, tall people, small people, green people, purple people, old people, young people. Anyone can love the feeling of warm sheets and shaved legs.

I love warm sheets. I love taking them out the dryer and wrapping them around me as I carry them downstairs. I love the warm hugs they give me when i’m feeling down. They make you feel at home. They let me know that i’ll be okay after a rough day at school. They’re the hugs you can't forget. Warm sheets are that one person you want to see when you’re feeling down. They’re like your best friend. Warm sheets are the last person you think of when you go to sleep, and the first person you think of when you wake up. Warm sheets are the people that, when you talk to them, you could forget your own name. That person that you just can't get out of your head? They're a warm sheet. …show more content…
I’m sure you do too. Everyone has a warm sheet. My warm sheet’s name is Peewee. I love Peewee. He’s like my best friend. I love the warm hugs he gives me when i’m feeling down. He makes me feel at home. He makes sure that I know i’ll be okay after a rough day at school. He’s that one person I want to see when i’m feeling down. He’s the last person I think of when I go to sleep and the first thing I think of when I wake up. When I talk to him, I could forget my own name. I can never stop thinking of Peewee. He’s my warm

Glacation

...Glaciers and Glaciation Jordan Leslie KAMSC Geology Term Paper Mr. Sinclair January 10, 2013 A glacier is basically a thick ice mass that originates on land from the accumulation, compaction, and recrystallization of snow. Since glaciers are agents of erosion, they must also flow. Similar to running water, groundwater, waves, and wind, glaciers are dynamic forces that are capable of accumulating, transporting, and depositing sediment. Glaciers are found in many parts of the world today. However, they are mostly found in remote areas. Thousands of relatively small glaciers exist in lofty mountain regions, where they usually follow valleys originally occupied by water. Unlike the rivers that previously flowed in these valleys, glaciers move very slowly, approximately a few centimeters per day. Based on their location, glaciers are narrowed down to two categories: valley glaciers and alpine glaciers. Each is a stream of ice, bounded by precipitous rock walls, that flows down valley from an accumulation center near its head. Like rivers, valley glaciers can be long or short, wide or narrow, single or with branching tributaries. Generally, the widths of alpine glaciers are small compared to the length. Some glaciers extend for just a fraction of a kilometer, whereas others go on for tens of kilometers. The picture above shows the Lateral moraine on a glacier joining the Gorner Glacier, in Switzerland. The Gorner Glacier runs along the bottom of the...

The Impact of Broader Internet and Multimedia Effects on the Usda Animal Care Department

...University Abstract This paper explorer the impact that broader internet and multimedia effect on the USDA Animal Care. As of now the USDA Animal Care department is working under limited capabilities, by expanding its internet functions the department would grant its customer better and faster service. Introduction If you wanted to start business that sold or bread pets you must be license by the United States government and renew that application every year. How much time, money and effort would you think it would take if that process was done only by mail. What if you wanted to find out how well a pet store did on its annual inspections prior purchase but you had to mail in an application and wait for it to return. This is how the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) works. If the USDA was to improve and centralize its internet access and retool its website it would increase profits and reduce overhead costs. In order to understand why the USDA needs to improve its web-based serviced one must understand the mission of the USDA and what it currently provides. USDA Animal Care background information The, USDA is governed by the Animal Warfare Act (AWA) and Horse Protections Act. There are 18 agencies assigned to be under the USDA. The animal care department falls under the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Services (APHIS). Its primary focus is to uphold the care for warm-blooded animals bread for commercial...

Eng112 Research Paper

...Composition II Research Paper Our atmosphere doesn't act as a single unit; it is made up of hundreds of different layers. Some of the energy released from Earth is stopped in each of these layers. The energy is then re-emitted in a random direction, but on average the energy is moving either "up" or "down." The atmospheres get thinner as altitude increases, so eventually the radiation will reach a layer high enough and thin enough to escape to space. If you increase the concentrations of a greenhouse gas in the atmosphere, the thin upper layers will become denser. The place where the majority of the energy finally escapes moves higher, these higher levels are much colder and so they do not radiate heat very well. The rate that radiation escapes to space is lower, and the planet will take in more than it radiates. As the higher levels emit some of the excess radiation downwards, the lower levels will warm all the way down to the surface. The imbalance will remain until the higher levels get hot enough to radiate as much energy back out as the planet is receiving. Though all natural processes, they are not always helpful. On the other side of the spectrum, we as humans are not always helpful to the processes. Because of this, we find ourselves at a time of question. What are we doing to our planet and how will it affect us? Many are attempting to take action now, others try to not believe. Eventually, however, we are all going to see what we have truly been doing. Global warming...

Global Warming and Human Health

...believe that global warming is a normality of the earth’s atmosphere. This paper will answer the questions: who, what, why, when, and how global warming will or will not have a negative impact on human health. The research must start by describing global warming and why some scientist and researchers believe that it will have a negative impact on human health. In direct quotation of Bloice and Hallinan, 2005: The temperature of the earth’s atmosphere is influenced by the balance between the high energy ultraviolet radiation absorbed from the sun and the amount of heat radiated back into the atmosphere. Carbon dioxide, water, methane, and other “greenhouse gases” are the key elements that regulate the earth’s temperature. Greenhouse gases are similar to the glass in a greenhouse- they allow light to enter and warm the interior but trap radiation, which heats the inside. Greenhouse gases in the atmosphere cause a buildup of heat that raises the temperature on the earth’s surface, a process called the greenhouse effect. Why do people believe that global warming will have a negative impact on human health? 1) Disease 2) Heat related deaths 3) Increases storm strengths 4) Storm surges Due to the combustion of fossil fuels such as coal, oil, and natural gas-the level of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere has increased significantly since the Industrial Revolution. The Nation Research Council in 2006 reported that the earth’s average temperature had risen 0.6...

Shifting Course

...college shifting courses just like me. So I decided to make a survey research regarding students in colleges on how passionate they are in the course they took up. I have delimited my research to students of the same course that I am taking to target a specific population and validity. Despite the problem of having many legal management students shifting courses, they take easy courses to graduate on time. As a current student and had been enrolled in legal management course in FEU, questions had bewildered myself if I had took the right path and made a right decision to take this course hence where will this lead me after I graduated from the course? There were instances in my college years that I opted or imagined to shift course for that matter because of the fear of the unknown. I am an irregular 3rd year student and I had witness some of my friends or almost of my friends if I may say had graduated from the courses they took and for my fellow legal management batch mates who if not shifted had graduated from this course but didn’t landed on a good job. The purpose of my research is to know the different reasons or the concrete intention or motive why some or a lot of students decided to shift course specifically legal management students. I will also probe if there is a trend of shifters or students from Leg Ma (Legal Management) jumping to another course and what persuade them to do it. This research will use survey questionnaires to get...

Global Warming

...An Interconnection of Consequences Caused by Global Warming. (A Reaction Paper on a film “An Inconvenient Truth” by “Al Gore”) Earth is a very beautiful place every human being lives in. It is so beautiful that every details of it works perfectly fine in order for us to live in a very harmonious, lovely and peaceful way. But what if it is being destroyed by “US” who lives in it and make it suffer as much as it could to work perfectly for us in order to live in? Will it ever survive? Will it keep giving us all the things that we need? Will we ever make a move to rescue it and bring it back to where it should always be? These are some questions that rise up in my mind about global warming and its effect in human kind. Greenhouse effect The "greenhouse effect" is the warming that happens when certain gases in Earth's atmosphere trap heat. These gases let in light but keep heat from escaping, like the glass walls of a greenhouse. First, sunlight shines onto the Earth's surface, where it is absorbed and then radiates back into the atmosphere as heat. In the atmosphere, “greenhouse” gases trap some of this heat, and the rest escapes into space. The more greenhouse gases are in the atmosphere, the more heat gets trapped. This greenhouse effect is what keeps the Earth's climate livable. Without it, the Earth's surface would be an average of about 60 degrees Fahrenheit cooler. Causes of Global Warming Glaciers are melting, sea levels...

...Differences in Competencies between ADN and BSN There are differing of opinions as well as research pertaining to the differences in competencies between Associate Degree Nurses and Baccalaureate Degree Nurses. In recent years facilities have begun requiring nurses to have a BSN or higher to qualify for employment. Facilities wishing to apply for Magnet status must have plans in place to achieve the IOM recommendation of having 80% baccalaureate prepared RN by 2020 (Yakusheva). Let’s take a look at the differences and you can decide for yourself. An Associate’s Degree in Nursing requires 2 years to complete. The program focuses on several components such as: professional behaviors, communication, assessment, clinical decision making, care interventions, teaching and learning, collaboration and care management (Faison). ADN graduates will be well prepared to function in multiple health care settings, including community practice sites by spending time in classroom lectures and participating in clinicals with testing on a routine basis (Mahaffey). One’s education will not stop at this point, even if the RN does not seek out a higher nursing degree. The ADN will continue to build on his/her learning by participating in valuable on the job training, completing continuing education units as required by the Board of Nursing, and most of all, experience. Though the ADN is deemed competent to perform patient care, the choice not to pursue a higher level of nursing accreditation...

Readvance of the British Irish Icesheet

...Re-advance of the last British- Irish Ice Sheet during Greenland Interstade 1 (GI-1): the Wester Ross Re-advance, NW Scotland The importance and nature of glacial records in terms of global climate and environmental situations has become apparent in recent years, and over a century’s worth of investigation has greatly aided the scientific community in their understanding, and thereafter in the reconstruction of paleoclimate, environmental influences and extent thereof (Broecker, 2002). Glacial records are commonly known as proxies: Proxy data is the indirect measure of past environmental and climatic conditions, usually gathered from natural recorders of climate variability (NGDC, 2008). Glacial Landforms such as drumlins, ribbed moraines and end moraines provide a record of the nature, scale and timing of ice-sheet oscillations. There are many uncertainties surrounding the last British-Irish Ice-Sheet (BIIS), as extensive amounts of glacial records are hidden beneath the sea. Most evidence would suggest that two dynamic ice lobes came offshore across the shelf from both Ireland and Scotland, resulting in the entire North West shelf to be extensively glaciated during the ice age. Data shows that an extensive ice sheet margin extended offshore onto the shelf, and may have reached the shelf edge at the Last Glacial Maximum (LGM). The deglaciation of the Last BIIS was helped by the Minch paleo-ice stream at the Late Devensian glaciation, which drained the North-West...
