Re: Web Conferencing Programs Research
Hello (Manager's name), This is the information I have found on the research project for Web Conferencing Programs. I have cited three different programs for web conferencing; Infinite, Cisco Webex, and FUZE Meeting. I believe the best choice would be Infinite.
Infinite is highly adaptable as it runs across the major operating systems; Windows 7, Vista, XP, and Mac. The competitors Cisco Webex and FUZE meeting are limited on choices for operating systems. FUZE Meeting does not support Windows 7 and Cisco Webex does not support Windows 7 and Mac. If we need to upgrade our workstations from Windows XP Infinite would be the best choice. Regarding the features each conferencing program has Infinite can hold one-thousand attendees at once, file transfer to/from audience, leader-synchronization, and video/webcam integration. Cisco Webex and FUZE Meeting do not have any of these features and can only hold between 25-45 max number of attendees at once.
An important issue I would like to bring to your attention about these programs is security features. I know we have been talking about application sharing being a priority for the meetings. I was checking out the security features of these three programs and found that Cisco Webex and FUZE Meeting do not have any security features for specific application sharing. This could be a huge issue if an application has been tampered with or a virus is attached to one of our applications we are sharing. Infinite does have security for this feature. I also checked out some reviews online for a number of web conferencing services and found Infinite to be the number one recommended conferencing programs available for 2012. I believe Infinite would be a great investment for the...

Web Conferencing Programs Research Memo

...Web Conferencing Programs Research Memo Allen Settles ENG 221 November 24, 2013 Instructor: Tim Toole Memorandum TO: Management FROM: Allen Settles SUBJECT: Web Conferencing Software Research My assignment was to research Web Conferencing software in order to help our company become more user friendly to our remote users and clients. During my research I reviewed three different Web Conferencing Software programs I believe will meet our criteria. In addition to price points, there are four areas of features and functionality that I will use to evaluate when choosing a web conferencing solution: 1. Ease of use 2. Browser-based technology 3. Cloud computing 4. Mobile access. The three programs are Fuze Meeting, GoToMeeting and WebEx. Of these three Fuze Meeting was the best fit for our company. Fuze Meeting makes it easy for users to get up to speed with the product and participate fully in meetings from the very first time they access it, without having to download any software. Fuze Meeting’s advanced integrated audio functionality gives users multiple ways to connect – toll, toll-free, Skype, and VoIP – as well as supporting international access in over 20 countries. The Fetch feature gives users a simple way to track down meeting invitees, meaning you may never again have to start a meeting late because a key participant is missing. Fuze Meeting up to date browser technology allows it to be compatible with IE, Firefox, Safari, Google Chrome and Opera. ...

Williams Jr. Eng 221 Jun 11th, 2014 Dr. Rose Safir Subject: Web Conferencing Programs Dr. Safir, as you requested, I have a web conferencing program that our company can use for our future weekly status meetings. The program that I recommend is GoToMeeting. I chose GoToMeeting because it fits into the needs of the company for our web conference calls. Here are some of the key pointers that made me chose GoToMeeting over the other web conferencing programs. You can use this program to meet and collaborate with others around the world. For one low flat rate, you can provide in real time, presentations, demonstrations, online training and more. There is also an option to show your entire screen, or just a specific document. GoToWebinar, which is a step lets you have unlimited webinars with up to 1000 attendees. GoToMeeting can be used to meet and collaborate with others all over the world. Individual: Corporate Memos

...From: Michael S De La Fuente Subject: Web Conferencing Programs The purpose behind this memorandum is to instruct management concerning the different web conferencing available to our organization. Web conferencing is a social tool we can use to have long time social affairs with our counterparts. The organization will have the ability to bring our offsite get-togethers thru web conferencing. The program that we chose will save extra time and money while bringing offsite and the organzation together as one. There are five web conferencing programs that were researched, Cisco Webex, Fuze Meeting, Gotomeeting, Infinite Conferencing, and Intercall. As shown underneath in (Table 1) most essential characteristics are discussed. During the research it was found that, FuzeMeeting and CiscoWebEx would not be able to support our needs. FuzeMeeting doesn’t have the capabilities to support VOIP, video or webcam capabilities. CiscoWebEx was not capable of recording the meetings. While Gotomeeting and Infinite Conferencing have max number of individuals that can be on during web conferencing. The one program that meets all of the organizations needs is Intercall. Intercall has the availability to support 124 participants, VOIP, video or webcam capabilities, and recorded meetings. We can also develop with this venture and secure a splendid web conferencing mechanical assembly for future usage. Table 1: Features Researched for Web Conferencing Service Services | Video |......

Corporate Memo

...Christine Brazanskas From: Dakotah McQuay Subject: Web Conferencing Software This memo is used to determine the best type of Web Conferencing software to be used. I did some research on various types of software, (InfiniteConferencing, Intercall, ClickMeeting) and have found that the best for our company is InfiniteConferencing. The pros on this software far outweigh the cons. The InfiniteConferencing software is a fair price of $35 a month, and with a company growing as quickly as we are, I believe that this is the best web conferencing program for us. This software allows up to 1000 participants, instant pulling, one click publishing with Microsoft Office, Full Desktop or Specific applications sharing, easy control passing, allows you to invite members on the fly, full Microsoft Outlook integration, and fully customizable session settings ("Http://www.onlinemeetingsource.com/web-Conferencing-Reviews/infinite-Conferencing-Review/", 2013). InterCall and ClickMeeting had many good credentials as well, but weren’t best suited for our company. InterCall could not be hosted on a Mac, which is used by many of our employees. The price per month was $42 dollars and didn’t allow as many participants. ClickMeeting only ran about $10, but was not as user friendly and required knowledge of the software. The functionality and security did not score as high as the other two types of software. After having done this research I feel more at ease to present this......

...From: David Carlson Date: 07/11/2011 Re: Research for a new, easy-to-use web conference program Message: On your request I have done some research into various web conferencing programs. Included is a table of the different programs I researched. In my research I came across several very good programs, but as I continued with my research one program stood out above the rest, Adobe Connect 8. When I did my research I was looking at usability, cost, features, and company reliability. Beck (2010) states, “Adobe Connect 8 is easier to use, offers better collaboration, richer audio and video experiences, improved access and extensibility, and increased security and support.” Connect is set up so that web conferencing is easier to setup and connect to. It has optimized screen control and enhanced audio and video controls. According to Info Tech (2011) "on a relative basis, Adobe maintained the highest Info-Tech Value Score of the vendor group." Value score: "Vendors that score high offer more bang for the buck(e.g. features, usability, stability, etc.)than the average vendor, while the inverse is true for those that score lower." (Info Tech, 2011) I recommend that we purchase Adobe Connect for our web conferencing needs. Not only it will it be easy to integrate into our system but it also has applications for eLearning and webinars, making it a great tool to help our people stay on top of the game. ...Memo Date: April 11, 2011 To: Management To: Brittany Farrier RE: Web Conferencing Programs Research After conducting basic research on web conferencing, I have found quite a few programs that I believe would be well suited for our purpose. However, based on the rating on Infinite Conferencing, I have concluded that this be the program that we should use. My decision is based on the following: 1. Conferencing Features have an “Excellent” rating (TechMediaNetwork, 2011) 2. Audio and Teleconference features have an “Excellent” rating (TechMediaNetwork, 2011) 3. Video and Webcam features have an “Excellent” rating (TechMediaNetwork, 2011) 4. Security Features have an “Excellent” rating (TechMediaNetwork, 2011) 5. Help and support have an “Excellent” rating (TechMediaNetwork, 2011) 6. Ease of Use have an “Excellent” rating (TechMediaNetwork, 2011) This program has an overall “Excellent” rating which also drew my focus on this software compared to all of the other ones that I have researched. “Using Infinite Conferencing’s phone and web conferencing services, users can meet with two people or 5,000, so it’s flexible enough for team meetings or an investor relations event. Participants can present slides, share information, documents and ideas, enhancing discussion and making it quicker and easier to work together.” (Web Conferencing Comparison, 2011). It is also a very inexpensive program for our company if financial issues......

...| Sparky Designs | Memo To: | Mario and Luigi CEO | From: | Brian Duncan | cc: | Peach and Toad | Date: | August 3, 2014 | Re: | Web Conferencing | | | After having fulfilled the request of researching a web conferencing tool for the company to use, further research shows that Cisco WebEx and IBM Sametime are our best possibilities moving forward. A compare and contrast assessment of the two companies listed, shows that for the size and possible growth of Sparky Designs Cisco WebEx is the best fit. Cisco WebEx allows the company 100 users to be live streamed at one time per host. That means that when we open up the California site we will have to purchase another host however, that will allow up to have 200 employees on at once. While the employees are communicating in high-definition live stream via mobile device or desktop, they can share access to their desktops and documents, remotely access their individual systems, engage cloud capabilities; major operating system support is also available. IBM Sametime allows the user to do many of the same things however, their costs are based on per named user as opposed to per host. Ref Table 1 Sparky Designs is currently at 50 employees that means if the company goes with Cisco WebEx then the cost will be $89 a month. If Sparky Designs chooses IBM Sametime then the cost per month will be $4000. Even if Sparky Designs only buy 10 named users from IBM Sametime the cost will be $800 a month.......

Virtual Meetings

...Virtual Meetings: Smart Management This is just my opinions—no research as yet. Question 1 This is a yes and no. In the immediate future—no. * Australian bandwidth is not adequate in the majority of country areas which still rely on slow broadband, wireless, satellite, dial-up. By this I am talking about the quality necessary for real face-to-face communication. I think the poor audio and video performance (delays) stated in the case study still exist, making the video conference experience less than ideal. I don’t know if the NBN will improve this, but I believe that this is still the major obstacle to videoconferencing still not taking off. * Cost is prohibitive for the majority of businesses, and possibly outweighing any cost advantage of reduced travel. * If extinct means never, then no, it won’t replace face-to-face meetings. This is still fundamental to business operations. A face-to-face meeting at some stage will still be desirable and probably necessary * Web conferencing, using webcams, still have a place in providing a video contact option, if you are prepared to accept any lower quality that you may experience. * If you can access another companies’ high quality videoconferencing equipment (rent the access time) then this may provide an alternative. There may be an argument for community based videoconferencing equipment. Question 2 Telepresence is videoconferencing technology that makes you feel as though you are actually......

The program is easy to use and doesn't take long to learn. They have live help if you run into any problems. This program is recommended by many top ranking companies. The only downside to this program is it doesn't have embedded video which isn't a major factor for what we need it for.
