Introduction to Assignment
1. Definition of e commerce: E-commerce (electronic commerce or EC) is the buying and selling of goods and services on the Internet, especially the World Wide Web. In practice, this term and a newer term, e-business, are often used interchangeably. For online retail selling, the term e-tailing is sometimes used.

2.
* Direct online sales are that the customer actually don’t get the product with physical delivery, instead of they are getting the product on directly on their computers/smartphones fx. Apps. * Online sales with delivery are delivered with post/currier to customer’s door directly from online shop. Fx. Buying an IPhone from apple online shop. * Pre-sales: opportunity to compare/research the product online, before transaction. * Post sales: Promotion of the products by e-mail, magazines.

3. There are many benefits of e commerce. For the company and customers. You don’t have to go out of your house to buy things. There is bigger choice of products with better prices than in normal shops. You can shop 24 hours a day seven days a week. If you are the company you don’t have to employee that many people so it’s cheaper to run the company, no rent. 4. There are many limitations of e commerce as well: Not all the customers have access to internet so they are limited to shop in local stores. If you buying online it’s impossible to try it on so you are not sure if the product you paid for always going to be right so there’s always a chance that you have to return the product and that comes with extra costs.

However, at the same time I needed to make sure that I didn’t include too much information that caused difficulty viewing and navigating the site. I came to the conclusion that I could provide the needed information with seven pages including the home page. My sitemap example is attached separately under the title “Task #3 Sitemap” in PowerPoint format. Design Mock-Up My mock up pages needed to match with the sitemap I created in the previous step. In order to accomplish this I needed to create seven pages or menus on the website. I also needed to make sure that the headers, footers and menu bar were the same on each page to provide consistency on the site. The only thing that was to change on each page was the content. I used wix.com as the template for this process. The images of the page examples are included separately under the titles home page, about us, customer service and products page.
