Introduction to Assignment
1. Definition of e commerce: E-commerce (electronic commerce or EC) is the buying and selling of goods and services on the Internet, especially the World Wide Web. In practice, this term and a newer term, e-business, are often used interchangeably. For online retail selling, the term e-tailing is sometimes used.

2.
* Direct online sales are that the customer actually don’t get the product with physical delivery, instead of they are getting the product on directly on their computers/smartphones fx. Apps. * Online sales with delivery are delivered with post/currier to customer’s door directly from online shop. Fx. Buying an IPhone from apple online shop. * Pre-sales: opportunity to compare/research the product online, before transaction. * Post sales: Promotion of the products by e-mail, magazines.

3. There are many benefits of e commerce. For the company and customers. You don’t have to go out of your house to buy things. There is bigger choice of products with better prices than in normal shops. You can shop 24 hours a day seven days a week. If you are the company you don’t have to employee that many people so it’s cheaper to run the company, no rent. 4. There are many limitations of e commerce as well: Not all the customers have access to internet so they are limited to shop in local stores. If you buying online it’s impossible to try it on so you are not sure if the product you paid for always going to be right so there’s always a chance that you have to return the product and that comes with extra costs.

...Signs Expansion Proposal 1 Signs and Design Business Expansion Proposal Signs Expansion Proposal Signs and Design Business Expansion Proposal E-Commerce Solutions The E-Commerce solution I recommend for Howard Signs and Design to leverage is the Intuit Online Payment System and Payment Network (IPN.intuit.com). This benefits the business because it is inexpensive. There are no setup fees, monthly fees or cancellation fees. Each inbound 2 bank transaction has a flat fee rate of fifty cents for payee and is free for all payers. Automatic bank to bank payments are quick, most are next day. Online invoicing is easy and payment requests can be sent directly to email, pay buttons are available for the business Web site and payment links can be put in invoices, emails, anywhere. Also, this same system can provide outbound payments to suppliers and vendors. This centralizes accounts receivables and accounts payable in one system without anyone else needing a payment network account. It is completely integrated with the current accounting system used by Howard Signs and Design providing seamless reconciliation with QuickBooks. The vendor benefits by earning the transaction fee and integrated revenue from QuickBooks business accounting software and Intuit tax return software which this business currently leverages. Web site banner advertising/affiliate marketing for Intuit as well as social media connections with Howard Signs and Design will also benefit the......

When the World Wide Web was created it gave companies a way to new ways not only to meet its target markets but also potential markets all over the world. Marketing on the web can provide a company with many benefits that can expand knowledge of the company, its brand, and products and services it offers. A company decides how to market its web page by first figuring out how it will group itself based on do they provide a product or service to the customer or are they based on what the customer wants. Product-based marketing strategies arrange the products on the web page the same as the product design. Customer-based strategies lets the company think as if they were the customer and design the page according to what they think is the customers’ needs. Choosing a marketing strategy for the web page thus entails a company will reach its market segments targeted. To reach a target market a company must first find their market then segment them accordingly. Although there are many types of market segments companies can choose to group consumers in order to reach their target market effectively, on the Web there are three main segments that used are demographic, geographic, and psychographic segmentations. The Nine Elements of Effective Web Marketing

...Nine Elements of Effective Web Marketing Introduction When it comes to web marketing, it’s all about ‘conversion’ - how many of your site visitors you can convert into a lead or a sale. We suggest that companies lacking a well conceived and well implemented website conversion strategy, are failing to leverage the most important marketing medium of the twenty-first century. The Nine Elements: 1. Identification of site goals 2. Clearly defined target audience 3. Compelling message 4. Site structure and information flow 5. Calls to action 6. Lead capture mechanism 7. Supporting graphic design 8. Site promotion 9. Testing, measurement, and refinement 1. Site Goals Identifying goals is critical for two reasons. First, goals help you to determine what should or shouldn’t be included on your site. You use your goals document as a set of criteria for determining site content, simplifying the design process, and removing the ‘political element’ that plagues some companies. Secondly, having specific goals allows you to measure the effectiveness of your site after it’s completed and live. That’s key because if you can’t measure site performance, then improving it becomes much more problematic. So you’ll find that measurement and improvement are the keys to that ROI you’re looking for. The bottom line on goal setting is that if you never identify the target, then you can’t expect to hit it. 2. Target Audience A foundation of effective web marketing is the ‘who’.......
