...Web Review HCS/235 2010 The United States is a country that highly depends on the use of the internet to find out information that will help them make informed decisions about everything from finding a recipe to finding out information about a person or a place of business. Educating one’s self about the services available from a medical group is no exception. In Southwest Washington State, there is a large medical group that is called Vancouver Clinic. There are a wide range of services that are available through them and also a number of physicians for a person to choose from and entrust with their care. Like most larger medical groups, Vancouver Clinic has a webpage on the internet where people can look up information that they may need about doctors, services, and even be able to access personal medical records online. When you open The Vancouver Clinic website, which can be found at www.tvc.org, the first thing that you will see are options for looking up the information for the different locations, the providers, and the specialties available and which location offers them. Compared to some areas in the nation, the specialties that are listed for Vancouver Clinic are extensive. A list of them can be found on the website and when exploring through each of the categories, it will give you information about what the department offers as well as which of the locations offers those services. This list of specialty services starts with allergy/ immunology and goes all the...

...March 25, 2015 Website Review My daughter is turning twelve years old this year and she wants to celebrate it at a restaurant called American Girl located at the Grove mall. I’ve heard before about this specific store because my wife always buys her Christmas present from this place but didn’t know they had a restaurant. So, I went online to plan my budget for her birthday. The website I visited was www.americangirl.com. When you go to the website, it’s all pink with a mixture of purple and something that really called my attention is that as a title is has “American girl, follow your inner star” and I think that this gives a very nice messages to little girls who are growing up to be a well rounded ladies. In the front pages it is decorated for Spring advertisement and it is very interactive. I can tell that girls from different ethnic groups are being represented and this makes me think that the little girls who visit this pages to play feel somehow identified or connected to the dolls. The website offers three categories for the visitors: Shop, Play and Stores. Under the shop section, you find all the dolls the company has created and there are a lot of dolls that girls can choose from. I think that all ethnic groups are represented and something very unique about this company is that they have dolls with disabilities as well. Aside from the dolls, the have clothing and dolls are girls outfits and every accessory necessary for this dolls; they even have a hospital for...

Working on It

...Riverside Casino and Golf Resort / Stacy Benson Topic Title Performance Reviews NO. This title won’t work. What about performance reviews? If you were doing a simple research paper you could write about performance reviews based on research alone. In this Sr Paper you must determine the state of the art based on your Literature Review. Then you will give the background of the problem and discuss it. This must all lead to two Courses of Action (COAs; solutions) that are tied to your title and problem. You need a “product” such as a process, a plan, a strategy, a program – something that can be recommended and implemented. Problem Statement (if not finalized post a draft – focus on the "pain.") The problem is that after initial training employees are not being reviewed for current performance. Suggest that after this initial statement you add something more about the problem. Brief Topic Overview The casino is experiencing a high turnover rate of employees because after their initial training they are put on the floor without any further review. In the handbook employees are supposed to have a review after 90 days but they are not being implemented. This leaves the casino with under qualified employees that eventually terminate their employment due to not feeling able to meet the high demands. The solution to this problem, if it is the problem, is simple. Just IMPLEMENT PERFORMANCE REVIEWS. You can see...

...Peer Evaluation for MKT 420 Your Name: KYRIA AHO Fill in the blanks for each team member (but not yourself) as if you were writing an evaluation or recommendation for that person. ONLY ONE TEAM MEMBER MAY BE RECOMMENDED FOR PROMOTION. Consider if you were assigned to another team, which team member you would want to be your boss. Consider who you’d like to work with again. Consider who you’d go to extremes to avoid working with if you had a say. Here is the format for peer evaluations. Include the team member’s full name (1), and be specific about (2) what the team member did or did not do. At the end, if you were employed with this person, (3) would you recommend (a) Promoting, (b) Retaining (Keep in position), (c) Retaining with counseling to improve performance or (d) firing/replacing. Please keep in mind that in most business situations, only one person in a group would likely be promoted. Thus a recommendation to promote would be reserved for the truly exceptional team member Team Member 1: LEXA CREAMER As a team member with Lexa Creamer on the team marketing plan project, I feel qualified to speak about his/her job performance. Lexa’s contribution to the project was timely and significant. She accepts correction easily and is always willing to assist in any way that she can. I believe Lexa’s strengths are enthusiasm and timely submission of her work. I believe her weakness is the lack of flexibility. Lexa had to miss some of the meetings due to time conflicts...

Butterfly Affect

...Butterfly leaked just 24 hours before its official release date, March 15, and that most major music websites published their reviews of the album within three days of the leak. On such an immediate deadline for filing a feature-length album review, it’s nearly impossible for a young critic to stunt. At Jezebel, Clover Hope just wrote the truth. With bits of personal and political context interspersed, Hope framed her review as a first-take impression of the “overwhelming blackness” of an album about funk and self-destruction. “This initial feeling is suffocating,” Hope wrote. “It’s the essence of Dis Tew Much.” I think most fans and critics would agree that Kendrick Lamar's To Pimp a Butterfly is, indeed, overwhelming. I reviewed To Pimp a Butterfly in about 72 hours. In that narrow band of time, I "got" the album's messages and themes but couldn’t grasp the motivations for the album’s sound. Why, in. Hard Side of Change Management 1

The Impacts of Social Media

...able to rate, review and share opinions on products at the palm of their hands. The high usage of social media sites is creating a new medium for companies to communicate with consumers on a personal level they were not able to years ago. With the usage of smartphones sky rocketing consumers are now able give their “two cents” about products or services the second they experience them. This is an essential element for companies and consumers because social media allows them to view reactions about new products, whether they are negative or positive. Where would you like to eat tonight? Be daring and try the new bistro that just opened down the street or play it safe and go to Applebee’s? This could be one of the most daunting decisions someone may have to make throughout their day. When it comes to where one would like to spend their hard earned dollar on a meal 45% of consumers turn to leading social media sites like Yelp for recommendations (Pann). 57% of consumers rely on the reviews from these sites on restaurants to determine where they will dine that night (Pann). But how reliable are these reviews that consumers are putting such high importance when it comes to their dining experiences? When it comes to the reviews on websites such as Yelp, a recent study by Gartner a tech research company has determined by 2014 that 10% to 15% of reviews found on these sites are falsified (Pann). These falsified reviews are hurting the reputation of social media review sites because...
