Today a quarter of the world’s population connects to the internet. Over the next 5 years there will be over 10 Billion client devices and another billion users accessing hundreds of thousands internet services all competing for limited IT resources that will likely choke traditional infrastructures without a radically simpler more secure and more efficient way of doing things. Cloud computing offers that potential new approaches to IT automation and the ability to rapidly scale computer resources offer IT organization the promise to swiftly respond to the demands of users in a new cost effective manner but there are challenges to overcome there are real limitations in power space capacity and bandwidth in today’s datacenters there is also a risk of close proprietary cloud computing architectures will stifle innovation today It organizations struggle to share data between providers to allocate resources automatically and to ensure cloud based applications maximize user productivity regardless of the device being used. Intel’s vision is a multi-year evolution to deliver cloud based architectures that enable federated automated and client aware cloud services. No longer will clouds be constrained by proprietary protocols, inter operable solutions that embrace standards will prevail visualize, enterprises easily moving data and sharing services between private clouds and public cloud providers when they need it resources that are dynamically allocated and automatically optimized for maximum utilization and power efficiency. End user devices that are automatically recognized by cloud services and receive cloud based applications in the most optimal fashion. The foundation for this vision and the future of cloud computing will be defined by an open approach that delivers best of breed technologies, combined with flexibility and choice from datacenter to client, in

...M1 The internet today has grew massively there are new and much modernised technologies and ways to communicate. Communicating are making personal interaction fast, efficient and for some people a bit intimidating this is because the internet can be a dangerous place and people can forge people and impersonate them, peoples social media page has a lot of information on about that person so therefore people can have the necessarily information and can make other things up. The new technologies and communication methods are quickly becoming the ‘normal’ in today’s world. The concept referring to the changing trend in the use of web technology and web design is that they have to lead to the development of information sharing and collaboration capabilities. Web 2.0 is now referred to in new ways in which software developers and users use the web. It makes use of the web technologies that were always present but not technically or practically feasible in the web 1.0. there are more and modern technologies such as Ajax, wikis, folksonomy, web feeds, podcasts, semantic web, mashups, social networking, instant messaging, text messaging and blogging these are often referred as a web 2.0 technologies. Essay on Cloud Computing

...Cloud Computing In this paper I will discuss about the cloud computing technology. Cloud computing is emerging as a strategic model for big IT businesses that want to outsource some of their regular Information technology needs or IT needs at top demand times, and also for small organization in search of an inexpensive solution for their computing needs. Cloud computing is technology which attracts the business managers, for its less cost, infrastructure and has the long believed dream of computing as a utility and has the potential to transform a large part of the Information technology industry, making software more smart as a service and shaping the way information technology hardware is designed and bought. It is massive computing resources, deployed among virtual datacenters and it is allocated to particular users and tasks and accessed as a service through a user interface such as internet website. (WALLIS PAUL, 2008) In year 1999 the salesforce.com was the first to deliver the use of applications through a simple website. In the early 2000’s business like the Microsoft, IBM, and amazon started covering Cloud Computing. Microsoft started by using software as a service through website services. In the beginning of year 2009, Sun Microsystems launched the virtual data center. This information center offers a way for folks to host anything they wanted at a minor fee instead of adding storage space to their personal laptops or desktops. For example, Amazon launched the...

E-Learning Revolution

...E-Learning: Emergence of the Profession Jason Drysdale, Jackie Flynt, and Shauna Hannon-Johnson 24 July 2011 The e-learning profession has grown leaps and bounds over the past two decades. Despite being slow to take hold, e-learning is now rapidly increasing in universities: “Today, almost all institutions of higher education offer some form of distance teaching and learning in the U.S.” (Saba, 2008). The historical timelines of instructional design and technology (ID&T) and distance education inform practices in place today. In this paper we track the development of these two traditions, each of which has contributed to current e-learning practice. Instructional Design and Technology: Parent Field Instructional design and technology (ID&T) is the term Robert Reiser (2001) uses for the field also known as instructional design, instructional technology, and educational technology. The core of ID&T revolves around two related practices: use of media for instruction and use of systematic design processes—known as instructional design or instructional systems design (ISD) (Reiser, 2001). We briefly trace below the development of these two strands of the field. Instructional media has been used since the early 1900s in school museums with movable exhibits. These museums appeared first in St. Louis in 1905, primarily using visual media such as photos and slides. This was known as the visual education movement. Movies were used, as per Thomas Edison’s expectation, beginning in 1910...

Cloud Computing

...Cloud Computing Cloud computing means that instead of all the computer hardware and software you're using sitting on your desktop, or somewhere inside your company's network, it's provided for you as a service by another company and accessed over the Internet, usually in a completely seamless way. Exactly where the hardware and software is located and how it all works doesn't matter to you, the user—it's just somewhere up in the nebulous "cloud" that the Internet represents. Cloud computing is a buzzword that means different things to different people. For some, it's just another way of describing IT (information technology) "outsourcing"; others use it to mean any computing service provided over the Internet or a similar network; and some define it as any bought-in computer service you use that sits outside your firewall. However we define cloud computing, there's no doubt it makes most sense when we stop talking about abstract definitions and look at some simple, real examples—so let's do just that. Simple examples of cloud computing Most of us use cloud computing all day long without realizing it. When you sit at your PC and type a query into Google, the computer on your desk isn't playing much part in finding the answers you need: it's no more than a messenger. The words you type are swiftly shuttled over the Net to one of Google's hundreds of thousands of clustered PCs, which dig out your results and send them promptly back to you. When you do a Google search, the...

...“Cloud is used as a metaphor for the internet. Cloud computing is a type of computing that relies on sharing computing resources rather than having local servers or personal devices to handle applications. Cloud computing is comparable to grid computing, a type of computing where unused processing cycles of all computers in a network are harnessed to solve problems too intensive for any stand-alone machine.” Office applications are the primary factor when deciding on any office suite, whether online or not. If the word, spreadsheet, presentation, or other tools don’t meet your needs, then you should not use that suite. If you like Office, then you will probably feel most comfortable with working in Office 365. They offer more choices with fonts and formatting than Google Apps and other suites. To start off Office gives you 2GB of storage for sharing online. For email each person has 25MB. They also offer up to 35MB for file attachments. Although these are just starting, points extra megabytes can be purchased as you need them. Office 365 allows access from anywhere. All you need is a computer, laptop, tablet, phone, or internet connection. If you make a change to...

Cloud Computing

...Cloud computing has transformed businesses worldwide and forced them to keep up with the fast-past changing of Internet Technologies. Cloud computing is a newer means of technology that allows users and businesses to store and forward information in a network. Large corporations are now using cloud computing as their key business structure. Users can connect to the cloud and store data, but they will be issued a fee for how much data they can store. The users can then retrieve the data from their laptop or smartphone. In a few years, cloud computing will be a primary storage service for many users. John Rhoton, a technology and business strategy consultant, defines cloud computing as a pool of virtual resources that are easily usable and accessible.i Rhoton mentions these resources are made up of hardware devices, information system platforms, and networking services.ii The cloud is built to be virtually unacknowledged by the user and perform in the simplest way. They are built using complex methods that are hidden from the user. Companies base their projects around simplicity because that is what the user wants. A user will buy a product or service that is easy to learn, compared to an abstract service that will take a lot of time and effort to use. A cloud network is very complex and misleading in terms of the infrastructure; however, the user can access the cloud by simply logging into the host from a webpage or a phone application. Generally, cloud services are...

The above article made Carr of the enemy of outfitters, the software and persons working for the IT industry from Nicholasa. the Spectrum of opponents of the columnist is very wide. In many issues such giants disagree with it as the Microsoft, the Intel, HP in particular CIO and IT specialists. From it has always been obvious that, at least theoretically, the computing power similarly, as the electric energy could be delivered via a network. In this way the "central generator" would be able to act much more productively and flexibly, than dispersed, private data centers. " - Carr states. The author shows a lot of reasons for changes which are supposed to come. A fact that it is possible to treat computers, data warehouses, the network and the majority of used applications as goods largely is one of them ustandaryzowany. Hereinafter Carr is adding that even with reference to IT specialists it is hard to talk about their uniqueness. ...Group: 5 Cloud Computing: Risk Management Introduction The objective if this research report is to help clients make the tough decision in choosing between Amazon and Google as their companies cloud computing provider. We provide a detailed explanation of cloud and why we focused on Amazon and Google. In helping our clients make their decision we will compare and contrast the two providers using three components. The first component is to examine each providers risk based on preventable risk, strategic risk, and the external risk. From here the report moves into the security measures that the companies have in place to deal with the aforementioned risk. The final component used is the benefits that Google and Amazon can offer our clients by using their service. Background This research report will compare the risks of cloud computing, security measures in place, and the benefits associated with cloud computing technology. More specifically, our report will focus on two of the most important companies in cloud computing—Google and Amazon. While conducting introductory research our team realized that cloud computing risk management is too broad of a topic and the report would be un-useful for our clients. The team decided that the best way to help clients would be to do a comparison of the two companies and show why one provider would be better than the other. In choosing companies we decided to examine Amazon which is the number one most important company in cloud computing...

...Cloud Computing: A Taxonomy of Platform and Infrastructure-level Offerings David Hilley College of Computing Georgia Institute of Technology April 2009 Cloud Computing: A Taxonomy of Platform and Infrastructure-level Offerings David Hilley 1 Introduction Cloud computing is a buzzword and umbrella term applied to several nascent trends in the turbulent landscape of information technology. Computing in the “cloud” alludes to ubiquitous and inexhaustible on-demand IT resources accessible through the Internet. Practically every new Internet-based service from Gmail [1] to Amazon Web Services [2] to Microsoft Online Services [3] to even Facebook [4] have been labeled “cloud” offerings, either officially or externally. Although cloud computing has garnered significant interest, factors such as unclear terminology, non-existent product “paper launches”, and opportunistic marketing have led to a significant lack of clarity surrounding discussions of cloud computing technology and products. The need for clarity is well-recognized within the industry [5] and by industry observers [6]. Perhaps more importantly, due to the relative infancy of the industry, currently-available product offerings are not standardized. Neither providers nor potential consumers really know what a “good” cloud computing product offering should look like and what classes of products are appropriate. Consequently, products are not easily comparable. The scope of various product offerings differ and overlap...
