Conceptual Venture
The company I choose to do my start up business with was a drive-thru corner store. There are many different corner stores in my area which have been running for years that make a lot of money. They don’t have any that have a drive thru so that would be my advantage when beginning my company. Being a city that receives a large amount of snow annually it will turn into a luxury, because you are able to stay out of the cold while ordering the items you are looking to purchase. I feel this will be a something that will have a low over-head monthly and I will be able to attract all customers knowing they can pull up and grab their groceries instead of having to get out and freeze.
Specifics
The way to market this business will be fairly easy because my knowledge of the area already. Since I will be working most hours I will only have to hire up to four cashiers and one stock person. This will bring down payroll and help me work on the important task of marketing and getting people to shop with me. My main task is a central location that will allow me to service customers from each part of the city without them having to go out of their way. I plan on making finger food as well as subs so my equipment list, so the bulk of my initial investment will be going toward that. I will get fryers and coolers along with a few display racks, a cash register, and of course a drive thru window. My main marketing will be billboards because my main cliental will come from the people driving around. I will also take advantage of advertisement on popular radio stations and things that also serve as billboards like the sides of city buses. My main objective is to get a few people and start getting talked about, after that I feel that we will be able to use word of mouth as our main
