As the Security Engineer of my employer I have been asked to analyze some potential malicious threats that are arising in our organization and explain the possible impacts. Therefore, I start to monitor the incoming and outgoing traffic in the network. It didn’t take too long to come across a active attack. Someone was trying to bypass or break into our secured system. The intruder was able to bypass our first layer firewall and then was stuck trying to access a specific IP range specific to our servers which hold hundreds of credit card information. We have been investigating and back tracking this threat with some forensic tools. It is difficult to back trace the intruder now that the connection has been broken. A few days passed when then someone brought to my attention that he received a phone call from someone stating they were from Microsoft and needed to run some updates on the employees workstation. The employee gave out his IP address so that the person from Microsoft can remote into the workstation. The employees workstation was compromised therefore the Desktop team has retrieved the workstation and started to trace anything that the person might have done while connected remotely.
After the desktop support team did intense scans they did not find any malicious software installed or running the machine. They are checking on any possible data they might have viewed or accessed that will make them attack again or provide them with the information to cause the company a threat. We are now up to two threats and in a matter of several days apart. A lot of companies don’t think this happens on a day to day basis. However this is why there wrong, there’s people out there that live to hack peoples networks and steal peoples identity.
With that said, our current company has a EMS (Energy Management System) which is installed on our network. These systems

(Imbrie & Smith, 2007) Some have complained that meetings have no real purpose, people can be unprepared and key people or stakeholders are absent or simply not a part of the meeting. ...Assignment Week 4 Tanglewood Case 3 Keller Graduate School HR 594 Strategic Staffing The objective is to address the needs and the concerns of the organization to develop an effective method to recruiting. This method must be beneficial economically, as well as, productive in recruiting the best possible talent needed. A strategy must be developed along with a guide that will be shared by all locations and at all levels. In creating this method, different forms of recruiting will be employed to ensure that the target audience is reached effectively. Tanglewood has high turnover. This is a major concern for management. There is time, and money invested in to hire these employees. Training and maintaining is just as costly if there is a 50% chance of the employee leaving the company, just to start the process over again. One reason for this is because of the lack of consistence in how the managers in the different locations recruit their employees. The recruiting policies appear to be designed by the store managers with no solid structure. There must be a policy designed to recruit those individuals that will best fit the position as well as ensuring that the investment in training and maintaining pays off. Tanglewood use several different methods to recruit prospective employees. These methods are effective, but only if used properly to gain the wanted effect; which is ensuring the best candidates for the positions. The most used method used by Tanglewood is media...

Week 4 Assignment 1

...Week 4 Assignment #1 Me’Shaw A. Taylor Dr. Anne Keyes REL 212 4/29/12 Discuss the criteria you will employ to determine if people on earth are religious — in other words, what does religion look like? Religion is a collection of cultural systems, belief systems, and worldviews that relate humanity to spirituality and sometimes, to moral values (Talal, 1982). Religions most notably are represented by symbols, stories, traditions or anything that tends to explain the meaning of life or the creation of earth and its beings. Each religion has its take on morality, ethics, religious laws, and lifestyle. Many religions have determined behaviors which include meetings or worship services. During these services they are worshipping their deity or praying to him or her. In observing religion, you may also see other services that members may be involved in which include sacrifices, revivals, feasts or dinners, initiations, funerals, marriage ceremonies, meditations, music, dances, and art. Describe three (3) examples of behaviors or beliefs you observe that meet the criteria you established above. 1. Baptism is a Christian rite or ceremony that Christians participate in. It is a form of rebirth and it done by water and the Holy Spirit. 2. Ramadan is another belief for Muslims which is a month of fasting in which they refrain from eating or drinking during the daytime. It is practiced to teach members about patience and submissiveness to their god. 3. Weddings...
