NETWORK COMPONENTS 2
There are many components that can go with wired and wireless networks. A wireless router performs functions of a router. A wireless router operates through a signal so I think it would depend on an access point. The price range I have found for this device is 15 to 2200. It also allows the for an access point. A computer is a machine that stores data and it also provides a useful format. A computer price ranges from about 250 to 2500. A computer needs many of these devices to be able to operate to its best. A computer can operate on a wired and wireless network. This also could change, depending what you want in the computer when you purchase it. A firewall is simply what it says, it is a wall that can allow or deny you access to certain things, including websites. Firewall prices vary rather you want one at home or for a business, prices could range from low 100s to high thousands. A wireless access point is used to allow wireless devices to be able to get on the internet using Wi-Fi. The price range could be anywhere from 10 to 10,000 dollars. A hub is a network that is wired using cables, such as Ethernet cables. A hub is needed to connect devices, for instance if the computers are in a business and they need to cooperate, then a hub is needed. This is for wireless. This allows devices to connect or talk to one another. A hub could go up to about 5,000 dollars. A modem allows a computer to transmit data through cables or phone lines. It helps convert a signal. Some modems could be included in the service if you are signing contract but on a high end some range up to 7,000 or more. Modems come in wireless and wired. So you could connect with or without wires to the computer itself. A printer is a device…...

Problem 4 Formula?? MPC * additional income ? * 20 billion Problem 5 Yes. The MPC is the fraction of each dollar of disposable income not spent on consumption. If a poor person doesn’t spend the money then it’s considered MPS however the millionare can spend money but the difference remaining can be that equal to the poor person’s MPS. Hence MPS =.25 and MPC=.75 from a $1. Problem 6 Formula MPC x additional income .01 * 1billion= 1 billion Internet Question The North and South both took several approaches to implement and find a successful way to tax the people. The south had one of the “lightest” tax burdens. There was little infrastructure in place to institute the people to pay internal taxes. Many of the forms of capital in the South were primarily comprised of land and slaves and liquid forms of wealth such as paper currency or specie were hard to come by. Congress’ first attempt to raise money for taxes failed. By 1861 Confederate Congress enacted a minor tariff and later the same year implemented a small tax on real and personal property. The South continued with various methods of using printed......

...WEEK 6 Discussion Question Chapter 6 (1,2 and 4) Q1 Advice Liability for contravention of s18 is strict. The defendant’s intention or state of mind is irrelevant. A person may breach s18 despite the fact that a statement or representation has been made honestly, innocently and without any intention to actively mislead or deceive. * Reputation: the need to establish the existence of a reputation or goodwill is more critical under passing off, as this requirement underpins the passing off action. The question is whether the use of the particular get-up or name by an alleged wrongdoer in relation to his product is likely to mislead or deceive persons familiar with the claimant’s product to believe that the two products are associated. * Misrepresentation: a conduct is likely to mislead or deceive meaning. The court will apply objective test in determining for itself whether conduct is misleading. An applicant can seek to protect trade designations, must establish that such designations are distinctive of the business or product to which they are attached or in words that they are exclusively associated with the applicants in the minds of customers. Words that describe a product, in a generic sense, can be used by other trade and cannot be monopolised by one trader. Q2 Advise the plaintiff, who plans to bring an action alleging: a) Passing off: involving the deceptive or confusing use of names, descriptive terms or other indicia designed to persuade......

...o Rationale for using component: The use of five wireless access points are needed, so wireless coverage can be at an acceptable level throughout all areas of the floor plan. o Rough cost estimate: The cost of a wireless access point would be around $180.00 each, which would total about $1,080.00 (6 access points) to supply wireless coverage throughout the floor plan. • Component Name: Switch o Rationale for using component: The implementation of a switch is needed to enable each wireless access point to be connected physically by a networking cable, which allows the wireless network to connect to the internet or other LAN based elements. o Rough cost estimate: The average cost of a switch is around $85.00. • Component Name: Network Cable o Rationale for using component: This component is needed to connect the access points to the switch, since the wireless access points are unable to communicate to a wired network without the appropriate networking cables. o Rough cost estimate: The networking cable needed to connect each wireless access point to the router would be less than 1000 ft. However, the CAT-6 networking cable needed can be purchased on a 1000 ft role for only $188.00, which would provide some extra cabling for future expansions or additional wiring needs. IEEE Wireless Network Type Apex Designs has identified that an 802.11n LAN will be implemented. Access Point......

Give 2 obstacles to this potential outcome. The scenario that would result in the best possible outcome for the United States is Scenario 6 – Set Conditional Timetable to Fully Adopt IFRS. The U.S. is inevitably moving towards adopting the IFRS. Because the costs and benefits are more firm-specific in the United States, it is reasonable to say that setting timetables gives firms enough time to plan for the conversion. The only downfall to this may be that setting timetables could take time. It could take years to implement by firm-specific timetables. Allowing firms to convert on timetables could allow for other firms to examine the benefits of converting before actually doing so, which will give them an outline for what they could feel is coming when it comes time to convert. Doing it this way will let firms that are waiting to convert weigh the pros and cons, and convert at......

What are some of the paradoxes typically associated with the practical implementation of greater participation? What unique challenges are associated with virtual team? “Organizations are principal sources of meaning in today’s contemporary life” ” (Eisenberg et al., 2010, p. 173. Nowadays throughout organizations there are multiple identities, networks, participation and paradoxes of participation. While “through the attempts to coordinate our activities with others, we come to understand both who we are and who we might become” (Eisenberg et al., 2010, p. 173). Addressing the question, “How we manage team based groups in organizations”? Entirely we have to actually examine the organization inside out all look at the bigger picture in order to create a great work environment without conflict. “Our understanding of how we are both similar to and different from other shape our very sense of self, and this is particularly true in the organizational life” (Eisenberg et al., 2010, p. 173).In chapter 6, we encounter the concept of organizational identity. “Identity is defined as how individuals position themselves in the world through language and action” (Eisenberg et al., 2010, p. 173). ...In Your Own Words Jeremy Harlow IT 241 Allyson Heisey The Analogy of Voltage, Current, and Resistance There are three primary characteristics that describe the nature of electrical flows. The first characteristic is voltage, which refers to the amount of electric potential the electrons have in a circuit. It is sometimes called e.g. or electromotive potential, the amount of force exerted on the electrons. For example, a battery is a source of DC voltage. If an analogy is drawn toward a waterfall, the voltage would represent the height of the waterfall from which the water is falling. More is the height of the waterfall, more is the potential of the water at the top of the waterfall, and more is the kinetic energy that reaches the bottom. The second primary characteristic of electricity is current, which is measured in amperes. Current refers to the electrical charge from electrons through the flow of holes that leads to current. As in the waterfall analogy, the rate at which the water is falling is similar to the current flow in a circuit. The third important characteristic of electricity is resistance, which refers to the amount of opposition to the flow of electrons. Higher is the value of resistance in electrons flowing. According to OHMS, these three characteristics are related by the equation V=I* R [pic] Analogy of the OHMS law with the water flow model. Analogy vs.......

...Carlos David 10/8/15 Media Week 6 Assignment Considering that fact that only ten to fifteen percent of new coble channels succeed is a steep factor. If a television show producer decides to create a new cable channel, they must figure out a way to satisfy a specific or unique market niche to be successful. They must do this because if they create a new channel that is tailored to a specific audience, however that audience is already satisfied with a cable channel that provides them with the content they want, that new channel will not succeed. Being a college student, I noticed that not many students take full advantage of their university. So if I was a television show producer, and I was deciding to create a new cable channel, it would be geared towards the average student. The channel would be simple; it would provide advice to students who are currently in college, and for high school students who are going to be applying to college. First lets talk about the high school aspect of it. Now generally there will be certain phases in the year where high school students will be applying to universities. With that being said, I know it isn’t easy for a sixteen or seventeen year old to fathom how overwhelming applying to college is, while at the same time trying to handle still taking classes and maybe even extracurricular activities. Maybe there can be a segment that will take up maybe an hour of the channel to discuss some tips for high school students.......
