After reviewing the different multiple intelligences, I have come to the conclusion that my strongest intelligence is the interpersonal one. I also completed an assessment from my first web site www.literacyworks.org that also concluded that my strongest one is in fact, the social or interpersonal intelligence. Chapter two of our text describes the interpersonal intelligence to be, the ability to relate to others, noticing their moods, motivations, and feelings (social activity, cooperative learning, and team work) The first web site I visited was www.literacyworks.org. I first completed the assessment to reassure myself that I had chosen the strongest one for me from our text. After I completed the assessment it directed me to a page describing my results, which were, social or interpersonal intelligence. This web site reinforced that interpersonal was the strongest choice for me. A few thing mentioned on this site about this intelligence were, that these people love to talk, have good social skills, and like to learn from others. All of those statements fit me perfectly. The second site I visited was www.Idpride.net/learningstyles. This web site had even more information than the first one I visited. This web site had one statement that didn’t fit my personality. It said, “People who fall into the interpersonal intelligence group are great organizers.” I have a lot of skills but organization isn’t one of them. All of the other statements this site made about interpersonal intelligence fit me to a tee. One that really caught my attention was, “these people generally try to maintain the peace in group settings.” I find myself doing this a lot at work and among my group of friends. Another interesting thing this site said was that sometimes these people may resort to manipulation. I am going to have to start paying attention to my characteristics to see if I ever

Pakistan Contribution to Global War on Terrorism

...IPRI Journal XIII, on 1 (Winter 9/11 Pakistan’s Contribution to Global War no. Terror after2013): 37-56   37   PAKISTAN’S CONTRIBUTION TO GLOBAL WAR ON TERROR AFTER 9/11 Dr. Hidayat Khan∗ Abstract Pakistan’s contribution to the “War on Terror” far exceeds its strength and size. Pakistan lost more than 35000 lives to save American people from another 9/11 attack. Pakistan’s economic loss amounted to 67 billion US dollars but still the US is not satisfied with Pakistan’s performance and pressurizes it to “Do More.” In this situation what should Pakistan do as a sovereign state? At the same time what is the international community’s responsibility towards Pakistan as a partner in this global war? The United States (US) and North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) have been fighting against the Taliban for the last decade but the war is nowhere near its end. This study is an exploration of the question whether war is the solution or the problem? Key Words: War on Terror, World Response, Pakistan’s Contribution, Operations, Agreements. Background P akistan has always played a constructive role in the United Nations (UN) — it is one of its largest net troop contributors and its active role in the solution of world issues is internationally recognized. It borders three major strategic regions; South Asia, Central Asia and the Middle East, and its geographical proximity to Afghanistan has made it an important partner of the United States. Pakistan has played a...

Israeli Palestinian Conflict

...5/8/2014 Israeli–Palestinian conflict - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Israeli–Palestinian conflict From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia The Israeli–Palestinian conflict (Arabic: ‫اﻟﻨﺰاع اﻟﻔﻠﺴﻄﯿﻨﻲ‬ ‫- اﻹﺳﺮاﺋﯿﻠﻲ‬ al-Niza'a al'Filastini al 'Israili; Hebrew: ‫הסכסוך הישראלי-פלסטיני‬ Ha'Sikhsukh Ha'YisraeliFalestini) is the ongoing struggle between Israelis and Palestinians that began in the mid-20th century.[1] The conflict is wide-ranging, and the term is sometimes also used in reference to the earlier sectarian conflict in Mandatory Palestine, between the Zionist yishuv and the Arab population under British rule. The Israeli–Palestinian conflict has formed the core part of the wider Arab–Israeli conflict. It has widely been referred to as the world's "most intractable conflict".[3][4][5] Despite a long-term peace process and the general reconciliation of Israel with Egypt and Jordan, Israelis and Palestinians have failed to reach a final peace agreement. The remaining key issues are: mutual recognition, borders, security, water rights, control of Jerusalem, Israeli settlements,[6] Palestinian freedom of movement,[7] and resolving Palestinian claims of a right of return for their refugees. The violence of the conflict, in a region rich in sites of historic, cultural and religious interest worldwide, has been the object of numerous international conferences dealing with historic rights, security issues and human rights, and has been a factor hampering tourism in and...

...Managing Human Resources What Do I Need to Know? Introduction After reading this chapter, you should be able to: Imagine trying to run a business where you have to replace every employee two or three times a year. If that sounds chaotic, you can sympathize with the challenge facing Rob Cecere when he took the job of regional manager for a group of eight Domino’s Pizza stores in New Jersey. In Cecere’s region, store managers were quitting after a few months on the job. The lack of consistent leadership at the store level contributed to employee turnover rates of up to 300 percent a year (one position being filled three times in a year). In other words, new managers constantly had to find, hire, and train new workers—and rely on inexperienced people to keep customers happy. Not surprisingly, the stores in Cecere’s new territory were failing to meet sales goals. Cecere made it his top goal to build a stable team of store managers who in turn could retain employees at their stores. He held a meeting with the managers and talked about improving sales, explaining, “It’s got to start with people”: hiring good people and keeping them on board. He continues to coach his managers, helping them build sales and motivate their workers through training and patience. In doing so, he has the backing of Domino’s headquarters. When the company’s current chief executive, David Brandon, took charge, he was shocked by the high employee turnover (then 158 percent...

History of Tea

...Chapter # 1. Introduction to CRM 1.1 Evolution of CRM Customer Relationship Management (CRM) is one of those magnificent concepts that swept the business world in the 1990’s with the promise of forever changing the way businesses small and large interacted with their customer bases. In the short term, however, it proved to be an unwieldy process that was better in theory than in practice for a variety of reasons. First among these was that it was simply so difficult and expensive to track and keep the high volume of records needed accurately and constantly update them. In the last several years, however, newer software systems and advanced tracking features have vastly improved CRM capabilities and the real promise of CRM is becoming a reality. As the price of newer, more customizable Internet solutions have hit the marketplace; competition has driven the prices down so that even relatively small businesses are reaping the benefits of some custom CRM programs. 1.2 In the beginning… The 1980’s saw the emergence of database marketing, which was simply a catch phrase to define the practice of setting up customer service groups to speak individually to all of a company’s customers. In the case of larger, key clients it was a valuable tool for keeping the lines of communication open and tailoring service to the clients needs. In the case of smaller clients, however, it tended to provide repetitive, survey-like information that cluttered databases and didn’t provide much...
