Benefits and Risks of Healthy and Unhealthy Weight Loss In our society today, physical appearance is extremely important to people. Everybody is constantly worried about the latest trends and fashion, but when it comes to physical appearance the most common and the largest concern winds up being a person’s body size and their weight. Unfortunately, there are people who do not always take the right approach towards reaching their “ideal weight”. For some people, losing weight can become a dangerous obsession. Developing an eating disorder and being involved in proper diet and exercise will both lead you to the same result; weight loss. However, eating disorders lead to being unhealthy while proper diet and exercise generally lead to a healthy lifestyle.

There really is only one long-term benefit that comes with unhealthy weight loss, which is that a person can lose a significant amount of weight. Some individuals may even say that their physical appearance after the weight loss is another benefit. On the other hand, healthy weight loss comes with several different benefits that contribute to a more positive and a healthier lifestyle. By having a healthy diet and being involved in proper physical activity, you will feel better both physically and mentally. Your body will obtain more energy and will also lower your chances of having type two diabetes, high blood pressure, heart problems, and even other health conditions such as sleep apnea which is a common disorder that affects the way you breathe as you are sleeping. Not to mention, you will have a better chance of living a longer life. For individuals who currently have a condition like diabetes or hypertension, healthy weight loss can lessen the severity of the disease. The benefits from healthy weight loss are simply endless and promote nothing but a healthy lifestyle to lead.

It is extremely important
