West Leaf’s employment contract is a full-time contract which is commonly used by other colleges in UAE. This contract used by the HR of the school is simple but brief. It has all the information that the hired employee needs to know. The has the following details: First are the basic needs which are date of agreement, name of employee, position, etc. Next is the Term of Appointment, in this part the employee will have to obey the agreement in this contract which is to work at the university that will not to exceed twelve months. They will be terminated by West Leaf College unless they will renew their contract. Third is the duties and responsibilities then followed by hours of work. Next are the compensation and benefits which includes salary and benefits. Salary of the employee will be based on his/her position. The …show more content…
This is because managing and measuring their performance helps the university to know how well the employees are doing in the school. This is how West Leaf College manages and measures the employees’ performance:
1. Evaluation – West Leaf College uses 360-degree feedback. 360-degree feedback is a multi-source assessment. It is a feedback that comes from co-employees, supervisors, or sometimes self-feedback. WLC designed question forms that are given away to the employee’s colleagues, managers and even the students. The results also help WLC to decide whom to promote.
2. Probation – when an employee starts working at West Leaf College they will be positioned in a three-month probation. For example, WLC hires a new professor, during his first month. WLC will check her weekly on how is she doing with her new job. The university will also give tips and suggestions then will set a target for what the new employee should do. On the next two months, the university will still observe her if she is getting comfortable and happy with her job and if she is improving with her
