America’s Gift to my generation Well, my generation is very privileged as well as some before and all generations after mine. We have been gifted with phones, laptops, computers, cars, airplanes, broader access to education and many more things. For example, my great grandmother didn’t go to school. She lived in a farm isolated from society and she had to work hard to make a living. There were cars but not many, as well as airplanes. My parents have told me that they had to use wall phones instead of mobile phones, and letters instead of emails. My parents didn’t have computers or phones, but they did have an education.
