What’s the Right Age to Stop Playing Cooking Games?
With the release of more compelling games comes the upsurge of online gamers. Sometimes it makes me ponder, where is this all heading? Will the online gaming obsession ever fade? And what age is considered too old when it comes to gaming? Let’s face it, despite the fact that online gaming is taking over the world; we still have innumerable questions in our heads, questions resulting from curiosity and annoyance. Annoyance if you’re a parent waiting for a miracle to make your kids stop their gaming addiction and curiosity if you’re waiting for the downfall of online gaming (which is still not happening, ever!). Is there such an age when you can nonchalantly blurt out that you have given up on gaming and have moved on to better worthwhile activities? Or is this just wishful thinking? Kids these days are hooked on online games but most girl gamers are cooking games enthusiasts. And from the looks of it, they’re not putting gaming to a halt.
Putting an end to gaming addictions depends on one’s lifestyle and passions and the kind of games that they’re playing. Sometime in your life when you’re old and gray, you may have to place gaming in the back shelf. Not because you want to, but because you need to. At that point in your life, there may be tons of things to do rather than sit down and face the computer all day. When you get older, you have less luxury to enjoy everything that you want to do. You’ll have less and less free time to accomplish everything that needs to be done. But when you’re young, there’s the perception that you can multi-task, you can do things all at the same time! It also depends on the type of games that you’re playing. When you’re a parent, you might want cut on the violent games for the kids. But there are games that are non-violent as well as challenging. And you as a parent may want to let your kids pursue these games. Take cooking games for example, kids and even adults love cooking games because they’re fun and educational. Cooking games actually train people into developing their cooking skills no matter how mediocre it may be. Cooking games unleash your creativity and passion into a dish. That’s why it’s popular among kids because it’s hassle-free, safe, interactive and child-friendly. So, what exactly is the right age for your kids to stop playing cooking games? The answer is none and you will never know. It simply happens when they need to move on to other things or start a new hobby. Cooking games are informative and you cannot stop information from molding your child especially if your child’s passion is cooking. It may seem heartless to let her give up on her cooking training. There are no age limits when it comes to cooking games. There was a point in my adult life that I got hooked on cooking games, Cooking Dash to be exact. Although I cook in real life, it’s still fun and stimulating having to go through all the recipes from various national dishes. You learn a lot of techniques and tips through these cooking games and are highly recommended for aspiring kids and adults who are planning to pursue cooking.
The bottom line is, there’s no definite age to stop playing cooking games because unlike violent games, cooking games keep your creative juices flowing. The more you play, the more you learn and the better cook you may become. As long as you set time limits for your child or for yourself to do other offline activities, you’re good to go. Cooking is an important skill that reaches out to adulthood and there’s no limit as to learning everything there is to know about it.

I say - what did you think about Mummy asking Miss Pepper to come with us, now that Daddy can’t manage?” Miss Pepper was a very old friend of their mother’s. The children were fond of her - but Roger felt rather doubtful about having her on a caravan holiday with them. “You see - she’s all right in a house,” he said to Diana. “But in a small caravan, with hardly any room - won’t she get fussed? We shall be so much on top of one another.” “Oh well - Mummy must have someone to take turns at driving the car that pulls the caravan,” said Diana. “And she’ll be company for Mummy, too. She’s quite good fun - if only she won’t keep making us be tidy, and wash our hands and knees a dozen times a day,...

...1. Q: Let's talk about your hometown or village, What kind of a place is it? A: My hometown is a laid-back village on the outskirts of Beijing. It's a pretty appealing place—quiet, low-key—which dates back hundreds of years but was never known for anything special, so far as I'm aware. The immediate environment is relatively good and the soil is rather fertile. Small fields surround the village, separated here and there orchards. Most people from the village work the land. They're farmers and their ancestors have always been farmers, which naturally creates a certain mindset and character. Of course, many young people are unsatisfied with this type of life and its corresponding outlook, so some of them have chosen to leave. The village is aging rapidly and the population is decreasing. 2. Q: Do you like your hometown? Why or why not? A: Naturally I love my hometown. Small towns like mine are apt to produce really distinctive characters among the people. Local residents are familiar enough with one another that everyone finds a slightly different social role and takes her role seriously, as it is a form of her identity that allows him to deeply engage her neighbors. This, in some ways, is similar to the formation of a family, where we notice difference among each other more clearly. As a result of this phenomenon, in my view, it's often easier to find a broader range of personalities and interests in small towns than in large cities, where interaction is frequently more...

... PLAYER Good game design is player-centric. That means that above all else, the player and her desires are truly considered. Rather than demanding that she do something via the rules, the gameplay itself should inherently motivate the player in the direction the designer wants her to go. Telling players they must travel around the board or advance to the next level is one thing. If they don’t have a reason and a desire to do it, then it becomes torture. In creating a game, designers take a step back and think from the player’s viewpoint: What’s this game about? How do I play? How do I win? Why do I want to play? What things do I need to do? MEANINGFUL DECISIONS Distilled down to its essence, game design is about creating opportunities for players to make meaningful decisions that affect the outcome of the game. Consider a game like a boxing match. So many decisions lead up to the ultimate victory. How long will I train? Will I block or will I swing? What is my opponent going to do? Where is his weakness? Jab left or right? Even those few, brief questions don’t come close to the myriad decisions a fighter must make as he progresses through a match. Games invite players into similar mental spaces. Games like Tetris and Chess keep our minds busy by forcing us to consider which one of several possible moves we want to take next. In taking these paths, we know that we may be prolonging or completely screwing up our entire game. The Sims games and those in Sid...
