Dental hygiene has become one of the fastest growing profession in healthcare. Some people might ask a dental hygiene degree worth the stress that comes with getting the degree? stress is due to the effort and time students put into becoming a dental hygienist. Although some people say dental hygiene very hard, being a dental hygienist as a career can get you good benefit, education and social interaction.

Firstly, the good benefit of having a dental hygiene career includes schedule flexibility and high salary that comes with the degree. The typical working hours for most workers in other profession are 9am to 5pm weekdays. Meanwhile, dental hygiene is known to work a more flexible hour. You will be ready to begin your career as a dental hygienist when you earn your licensure in the state in which you plan to work. So you can enter this career relatively quickly. If students get a dental assistant degree, they are likely to get experiences at hospital or dental clinic, because they want to get more experience about workplace and more practice than study. However, after you earn the time for volunteer and got experience, it will be easy to continue to study and become dental hygienist. They think dental hygiene very hard because they need to study and get college degree. And some people think this job is boring. Because of occasional patient who has bad breath, swollen gums or tooth decay. They think it is too yucky and messy when dental hygiene job requires working with people's mouths. And then most people they do not like to be repeating the same tasks in the same environment every day with patients. You will mostly be cleaning teeth all day.
