Most Schools that I know of does not have a Band Program or anything like that, but I think that all school should have Band Programs. Why? So that if there are students in their schools that like to play music and try instruments then they will have that opportunity. It will also help them take on fears that they performing in front of people and then they will become a better musician because of this program. Furthermore here are the reasons explained why I think that all schools should have Band Programs in the school. The 1st reason is that if there are students in the school that love to play music and instruments they will have the opportunity to do that. When I first started band I was in 6th grade. I wanted to be in band so that I could tryout music and play instruments. I had no idea what band was but still I tried it out and now I like it very much. The 1st instrument I played was the Oboe. It’s like a small clarinet but different. I thought it sounded good and I got very good at it, but as the years passed I wanted to try different instruments and I came upon the trumpet. To me the trumpet makes the best sound and looks very cool and shiny so when I got to 8th grade this is the instrument I played. In addition to me playing the Trumpet I’m taking lessons and getting better and better at it and I’m trying to play the best I can. The 2nd reason why I think that all schools should have a band program is because it will give them the opportunity to take on fears that they have with performing in front of people. When I was first in band and we had our first concert I was really scared. I thought I was going to mess up and if I did every one would get mad at me and hate me. So My Band Director had said all I need to do is take 3 deep breaths and don’t worry about anything and once I did that I played the best concert ever. I didn’t get nervous or…...

E-Business Task 1

...     QRT2 – E-Business Task 1 of 3: 3     Spazmatic Simplification – Online Expansion Through Consolidation Introduction A band billed as a local group called The Spazmatics played a Superbowl Gala in 2011 and thrilled the crowd at Billy Bob’s Dance Hall in Fort Worth, Texas (Star-Telegram, 2011). The new wave cover band performed well-known hits from the 80s and 90s while portraying “nerds” – members wore thick, horn-rimmed glasses with tape holding the nose bridges together, they wore their pants too short, ties unkempt and neck braces. They were quintessential throwback “nerds” made famous in the classic film Revenge of the Nerds (Kanew, 1984), complete with grating laughs, social awkwardness and sexual repression – all played for comedic effect. The band’s nostalgic playlist includes hits from such acts as Billy Idol, David Bowie, Cindy Lauper, Duran Duran, The Cars, and Madonna (Perfect World Entertainment, 1992). I was fortunate enough to be there at the Superbowl Gala, and really enjoyed the performance of The Spazmatics. The group was billed as a “local” band and performing just before the gala’s headlining act. I was struck by the talent of the musicians, charmed by the “nerd” theme, amused by the comedy elements, and made nostalgic by the song selections. I actually wondered, since they were “local,” why I hadn’t heard of them – I’ve liked in the area for more than a decade and fairly active within the local music scene. I used my smart phone......

Robinhood Case

...1. What problems does Robin Hood have? What issues need to be addressed? Ans: The Increasing size of the band had been the core problem for Robin Hood, because it was getting very hard to manage the band. The core issues were the lack of discipline in band and the cost of buying the food was draining the bands financial reserves. 2. Do Robin Hood and his band need a new mission? new objectives? For example: why not accept the offer of the barons to assist in securing King Richard¡¯s release from prison (give me pros and cons for that possible new mission, and do you suggest adopt this new mission)? Ans: Yes, Robin Hood and his band need a new mission, a new objective and a good strategy. He should adopt a new mission to free the people from Prince John and return king Richard to the throne. Robin Hood can also join with barons to collect the ransom to release King Richard. This option might seems risky but he has to do something, which is better than doing nothing and getting caught my Sheriff. His present strategy has been outdated and it could not work at the time when his enemy is too strong and well planned. 3. . What strategic options does Robin Hood have? Is continuing with the present strategy an option or is the present strategy obsolete? For example, why not try to end the campaign by killing the Sheriff; why not try to move to another region?...

What Is the Relation Between Heavy Metal and Religion?

...thought of. The early times metal bands are even conservative and they have nothing to do with Satan in terms of religion. But most of the metal bands used satanic elements in lyrics, in music or on the stage. However, the intension of it is to attract listener’s attention. On the other hand, there is a small group in Norway actually worshipping Satan. In spite of the fact that they are in small numbers, their big actions made people talked about themselves. WHAT IS THE RELATION BETWEEN HEAVY METAL AND RELIGION? Heavy metal is a music genre which has very hardcore sound and brutal theme in terms of lyrics. It covers the issues like life, death religion love betrayal etc. It is generally associated with black color and heavy metal bands seem very tough wearing black and silver stuff. This is some kind of requirement to be a metal band, because this music deals with the issues which are not mentioned explicitly by any other genres but heavy metal, then that music is something strong and brave. Therefore, who makes that kind of music should appear in the same way. If and only if, they ought to have a strong theme. This strong theme comes from the music which is made by powerful electric guitars and from the lyrics which are especially related to death and religion. Death is literally a very small part of life, because death comes suddenly, so, many people do not remember this issue in a daily life. However, death is what ends a whole life. Tinker V. Des Moines

...laws that limit free expression. The case of Tinker v. Des Monies was rather a simple one. The case of whether the first amendment applied to students or just adults. The students argued that they should be allowed to wear armbands to display their praise for the people of the dead during the war. The staff thought this shouldn’t be allowed, mostly because of their influence of their actions might disrupt the learning environment of the class and (possibly) the school. This is understandable. They only wanted was best for the students. Although they are doing this for the best for the students, isn’t this a little restricting? Yeah sure, they don’t want the students to form a riot, but not allowing them to express their feelings from the war by not letting them wear arm bands, worse case not allowing them to return until they didn’t wear it? That’s the reason why the case was started in the first place. This could be avoided if they were allowed to wear the armbands in school…to a certain extent that is. Besides, this could be the exact reason why a riot might form, the restrictions is causing a stressful strain to the students and couldn’t take much more of it. In 1965, 3 students Mary Beth and John Tinkers and one other student in Des Moines, Iowa decided to wear black arm bands to school in representation of mourning the dead and protest the Vietnam War. The Vietnam War was a military conflict fought primarily in the Southern Vietnam in the year between 1959 and 1975, the...

...permanent body art always has a meaning behind it otherwise it’s just a plain meaningless sketch with empty symbols. So if it represents someone’s character, why do they get judged or laughed at? Often people get discriminated for having ink on their bodies by many believers who either think that your body is a gift and you should keep it safe or they may believe that tattoos represent something evil or even satanic. Obviously, we shouldn’t really care what others say but at some point it may touch us in the sense of differing from others and making ourselves feel bad about our body. Yes, our body and our life is a wonderful gift that we should treasure but why should others care about what we decide to decorate it with? Tattoo’s should not give a bad first impression to anyone, it should only tell a little about their personality. Speaking of judgmental twits, no matter how famous a celebrity with tats is, there will always be someone who will criticize them for their own choice of life. The majority of new alternative rock/ heavy metal bands have members that are covered in tat’s from head to toe and of course they get pointed at and called stupid, goths or rocker wannabes. Some of the “tattoo covered” bands are Motionless in White, Bring Me The Horizon, Pierce The Veil or Of Mice & Men. All these bands are dissed by so many popular singers or celebrities mainly for their tattoos instead of sleeves which are thought to be stupid and pointless pictures but not...

Rock and roll, hard rock, heavy metal. All forms of music that has been an important and influential part of my life and many others life. Some may argue that it’s actually a way of life. So many arguments and discussions about these forms of music have I seen and even participated in. One question and one statement concerning these have always remained on my mind. The statement: “There are Black Sabbath fans and there are Led Zeppelin fans. You cannot be both And Led Zeppelin in more influencing.” And the question: “Who’s responsible for the creation of heavy metal? Black Sabbath or Led Zeppelin?” Within my readings and within my search, the only fact I have came up with is that these are the two most influential bands of all time. The members of the band Black Sabbath are vocalist Ozzy Osbourne, guitarist Tony Iommi, bassist Terry “Geezer” Butler and drummer Bill ward. These were the founding members of the band which was formed in 1968 in Birmingham, England. Though, the original name of the group was Earth Blues Company, which was shortened to Earth. Earth was forced to change their name due to another band already having that name. Their choice was based off of a song which they had written and that had created a stir among fans. A song about dealings and meddling in the gothic world and a dark visitation......
