Being able to trust my coworkers and those who are in management above me is a crucial part in having relationships with others within the workplace. Many offices can become a grounds for rumors and schemes against others. I find myself not engaging in such things and keeping to myself. In this way, I am able to influence others to do the same, and reduce any problems. Faith in my coworkers, and others that I encounter daily, should be a given, but sometimes has to be earned by me. Being able to listen to coworkers or others for which or with I work is something from which I profit. People are more trusting when they believe that you genuinely care about what they have to say. I find it enjoyable to be able to listen, and see it as a service that I can provide for those who truly need a listening ear. I am effective in my work and strive to make that a trait that I am able to pass on. This comes in the form of the capacity in order to produce a

Is It More Important to Do Work That One Finds Fulfilling or Work That Pays Well?

...Is it more important to do work that one finds fulfilling or work that pays well? People have different thoughts about what work they would want to choose, and two of the many categories which affect the choice are the money they can earn and how much they fulfill by working for the job. But, it is more important to do work that one finds fulfilling than doing work that pays well.            Firstly, working for something that someone finds fulfilling will give the person to have less stress from work than working for something that pays well. For an example, if a person does works at a place he does not want to work at, but is working for it to get large amounts of money, he is going to get stressed out because he will not know why he is really working for the job apart from the fact that he is going to get more money. On the other hand, if a person works for something that he finds fulfilling, he knows why he is working for it, and will feel more content and happy about it.            Secondly, working for something that someone finds fulfilling gives more chances to the person compared to a person who works for something that pays well. For example, if a person likes doing something, he will get excited about it, which will boost up his capabilities and skills, and help him succeed in getting a higher position, or get more things out from the job. But, if a person works for something just to get more money, he will dislike the things he is doing compared to the person...

Teamwork

...joint action” and teamwork as “cooperative effort on the part of a group of persons acting together as a team or in the interests of a common cause”.1 Teamwork in a classroom teaches students the fundamental skills associated with working as a collective unit toward a common goal. When students are required to work in teams it introduces a variety of skills that will be valuable for students later in the workforce, such as communication, compromise and collective effort. In any type of group work, students must agree about who will handle various components of a project and collaborate using one another’s strengths to accomplish assigned tasks.2 Which often teaches time management, resource allocation and communication skills. Teamwork can push people to expand their skills and learn from one another in ways that might have never occurred had they not be placed on the same team. Women in the Workplace

...Working Mothers Many women today are facing choices that their mothers never had to face. One of these choices is whether or not to go back to work after having a child. The thought of going back to work was practically unheard of in the 1950's. However, in the 1990's it is not whether the mother will or will not go back to work, but rather a question of when. When did this choice to return to work become set in stone? Why do the mothers of today have to work outside the home versus working in the home, much like their mothers or grandmothers did? When one thinks of the subject of working mothers, many differing opinions come to mind. What will happen to the child, will the mother have sufficient time to bond with the baby, how will household chores be divided, and so on. When thinking of working women, two models come to mind. One of which is paid employment that has a protective and beneficial mediating effect. Employment protects women against certain negative aspects of being full-time homemakers and mothers, such as monotonous housework, dependence on the male partner for financial and emotional support, increases self-esteem because they are contributing to the world they live in. These women receive a renewed interest in life because they are in the thick of it. They are living life to the fullest. This model is the one that is constantly referred to as "bad" because it paints the woman as someone who does not really care about the effect of working will have on...
